Many Nigerians know and love the King of Fuji Music Wasiu Ayinde Marshal. However, not all of his fans know that he has a gorgeous house in Ijebu Ode! If you want to see the pictures of Wasiu Ayinde house and learn interesting facts about the mansion and the artiste himself, keep reading!

Who is King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal?

Before we talk about his house, let’s talk a little bit about the man himself. Olasunkanmi Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, known to many Nigerians as K1 De Ultimate, was born on March 3, 1957 in Agarawu and spent a significant part of his life in Ijebu Ode. From early years, he was interested in music, so it was no surprise when he decided to make it his life-long career.

Starting out as a member of Supreme Fuji Commanders in 1975, Wasiu Ayinde entered the Nigerian Fuji scene. In 1979, he decided to go solo, which was definitely the right decision. Since then, he has taken on the alias K1 De Ultimate, released numerous albums and become the King of Fuji Music. You can find him on Instagram @kingwasiuayindemarshal or Facebook @K1DeUltimate and follow his fascinating life.

As you might have guessed, King’s fame has brought him quite a fortune. One of the things he chose to spend it on is a beautiful mansion in Ijebu Ode.

You might have heard that King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal converted his Lagos home to a mosque for his 60th birthday. Since then, he has moved into his new luxurious mansion on Liworo Avenue in Ijebu Ode.

https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt1f4duojf05t8.42e9073e.jpeg

The mansion in question is called Ule Omo Ojushagbola, which means ‘The house of the child of Ojushagbola’. It stretches over 1,800 square metres and comprises of four main buildings, including the seven-bedroom house for the King, eight-bedroom house for his guests, a recording studio and a gym. It also has a gate house, staff quarters, a praying area and much more. It was reported that the whole thing cost him over 2 million dollars!

https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt26i2r8c0nuig.b18b8a5e.jpeg

That said, when you see the estate, you can definitely tell that it is worth the money. Even the surrounding territory looks stunning. The lawn alone should win some sort of a competition. The way every shrub is meticulously shaped and no palm tree looks out of place is absolutely fantastic.

https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt17gj4jh8h5jg.4144f738.jpg

The estate looks like something from a beautiful postcard. No wonder K1 De Ultimate calls it his own Paradise. Virtually the first thing you are greeted with when you enter through the gate (which is also fabulous) is the bluest pool you will ever see. It even has a pleasant sunbathing area, complete with lovely umbrellas and comfortable-looking sunbeds.

https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt6gs883voaml.e897f5d2.jpg

The interior of the estate is just as beautiful as its exterior. The rooms are filled with tasteful furniture and matching drapes.

https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt61eactskvb5.119a5fb3.jpeg

The master bedroom definitely looks fit for the King, with its shimmering sheets and interesting chandelier.

https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt4hmscr2n2q9.9d600058.jpg

The gym is stocked with various exercise equipment and even has a pool table. The kitchen looks neat and high-tech, and the many chandeliers look positively radiant. According to the media, all of this beauty is sustained with the help of three diesel generators, so you know King means business.

https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt19rbchq4npf.c1807fc7.jpg

One time, K1 De Ultimate proved that his kitchen was not just for show, and that he knew his way around it. We hope that fire extinguisher in peeking out from around the corner is merely a precaution

https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt6jacid7jnun.0b2ec1b0.jpeg

If you want to see even more photos of K1’s beautiful mansion, you can find them on his Instagram page we mentioned before, @kingwasiuayindemarshal. He has lots of pictures, where he and his guests are having a great time at his house. However, we also recommend you to stick around, as we have more things to tell you.
The many animals owned by Wasiu Ayinde
https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt3kgc52gbtmcg.6cb03472.jpg

When talking about the singer’s mansion, we have decided to save the best for last. Apart from having a very luxurious house, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal can also boast his extensive collection of various animals. He calls it his Mini Zoo, but, to be fair, some zoos might actually be quite jealous of him!
https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt3t4suv6u9n1g.183f7ca4.jpg

Among his collection, you can find many animals, such as goat, gazelle, tortoises, pythons and even a crocodile! However, it seems like the singer is most fond of the feathered creatures. He owns parrots, peacocks, cranes, eagles, chickens and ostriches. And those are only the ones that we know of! Who knows how many other birds he has in his Mini Zoo?
https://madailygist.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/vllkyt5pk8j6ivlhp.6ff85406.jpg
From K1’s Instagram, it seems like he loves his ostriches the most. His beloved birds are so big that they tower well above him in photos. Sometimes they do not even fit in the frame.

As you can see, Wasiu Ayinde is a wealthy man, who has a beautiful house and a fascinating collection of animals. Judging by how hard he has worked throughout his life, we think that all this is well deserved. We wish him many more years of a fruitful career and hope to hear more from him in the future!

The Kenyan, then 42, was caught with 5.345kg of drugs concealed in a school bags. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said the four blue parcel of white powdery substance found in her possession tested positive for cocaine.

On December 7, 2015, she was sentenced at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, and on the same day, began her incarceration at Kirikiri. Susan ailed in prison for a few months and died on February 16 on her way to hospital. According to reports, Susan was two months away from completing her term.

Fellow inmates, observed by the female guards, came to the chapel to pay their respects. Some wept openly while others sat pensively through the liturgy. Her immediate family knew about the mass, having been informed of her death and of the chaplain’s plans by the Kenyan Embassy.

Mr Onyancha, the Kenyan Consular Officer attached to Lagos, and two Kenyans were also present. Presiding over the mass was Fr Cletus Udoh, the Parish Priest in charge of St Joseph’s Kirikiri, Lagos.

Father Likoko said late Susan was looking forward to going back home.

PoliticsFateema Ganduje And Ajibola Ajimobi Are A Non-virtuous Couple – Kwankwaso by vanessaRN(op): 10:56am On Mar 07, 2018

The photo of Ajibola Ajimobi grabbing one of his wife’s boob in a photo which surfaced online has continued to spark controversy.

Former Kano state governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has slammed the act tagging the couple as ‘non-virtuous.’

While addressing his supporters Kwankwaso said;

”Only few people are happy with the marriage of a single zawarawa because they are just one. We heard the eastern, the western, the southern and the northern entry points to Kano are all shut for the marriage of a single ‘zawarawa’ couple.

“This shows a sharp departure from the Kwankwasiyya ideology in Kano State. Today, Kano was at a standstill because of this marriage.

“We also heard a lot of people from other places that are less busy have abandoned their duties to attend the wedding. I also heard this event involving a single couple has made lot of people doing their legitimate businesses remain indoors.

“All these show difference between honesty and dishonesty, between light and darkness, between mass wedding of a thousand couple and that of a single couple,” he said.

CrimeScores Feared Killed, Houses Razed In Taraba Crisis by vanessaRN(op): 10:54am On Mar 05, 2018
THE crisis on the Mambila plateau in Taraba State escalated on Sunday as scores of people were feared killed while many houses were torched in Yelwa and Mesamari villages in the Sardauna Local Government Area of the state.

Though eyewitnesses claimed that over 40 people were killed in the attack which allegedly started on Saturday night, police authorities in the state said they could not give the casualty figure.

Our correspondent reports that violence returned to the Mambila Plateau last Thursday following dispute over land.

Police had earlier confirmed five people killed in the Thursday attack which he said occurred as a result of a clash between the Fulani and Mambila people.

But the attack, which continued on Saturday night through Sunday, led to the death of many people from both sides.

Though police said normalcy had returned to the area following deployment of additional units of personnel in the troubled communities, local residents said no fewer than 40 persons had been killed in the clash.

The President of the Mambila Progressive Cultural Association, Mr. Marcus Bovoa, who also confirmed the attack, told our correspondent that many houses in Tungwa and Yelwa communities were completely razed, while about 40 people were killed during the Sunday attack.

Another eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, said several people were killed at Mesamari while cows were stolen when gunmen attacked the community on Sunday.

The eyewitness said tension was still high in the area, adding that he could not ascertain the casualty figure as of the time of filling this report.

An eyewitness, Charity Samuel, told our correspondent on the telephone that his family got information that some armed Fulani men were attacking their village and they hurriedly escaped in their family car.

She explained that on their way to Gashaka they were attacked around the Corner Drum (Biyuda Sisi) area by some armed Fulani men and six of the family members were injured.

“Six of them were critically injured in the attack and four escaped unhurt. The injured ones are currently receiving treatment at the MRS Army Barracks Clinic in Serti.

“The driver was most affected in the attack and he is still unconscious as we speak,” she said.

However, another eyewitness, Ahmadu Muhammad, claimed that over 20 people were killed in the attack.

But the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP David Misal, who confirmed the clash, did not give the casualty figure.

He said the Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Dave Akinremi, had temporarily relocated to the Gembu, the headquarters of Sarduana Local Government Area to calm the situation.

Misal told our correspondent that on arrival in Gembu, the commissioner had deployed additional units of police men in the troubled communities to restore normalcy.

“The crisis has not escalated as such, but houses are still being razed because most people ran away and left their communities after the Thursday’s attack and some hoodlums took advantage of that to raze the houses. But with the deployment of security in the areas, normalcy has returned,” he said.

PoliticsSenate Blasts Nigerians Criticizing Death Penalty For Hate Speech by vanessaRN(op): 12:20pm On Mar 03, 2018
Senate spokesman, Sabi Abdullahi, has explained why a penalty of death sentence was included in the hate speech bill and fired at those opposing it.

Abdullahi is also the lawmaker who introduced a bill for the establishment of Independent National Commission for Hate Speeches.

The bill which passed for second reading at the Senate, prescribed death by hanging for any person found guilty of any form of hate speech that results in the death of another person.

A barrage of criticisms have trailed the introduction of the bill, with many of the view that it was aimed at hunting critics of the government.

But Abdullahi insists the penalty was only for those who were found guilty of any form of hate speech, that results in the death of another person after judicial processes in a Federal High Court.

“The issue there is that why not death penalty when you are responsible for deaths of other people? After all, our present law says if you do anything that result in the death of another person and it is proven beyond reasonable doubt that you caused the death of that person, the penalty is death by hanging.

“It is very clear. It has to be proven that there is hate speech, it has to be proven that the hate speech led to the death of that person. There is a condition that it has to be proven beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law. The jurisdiction of the bill is the Federal High Court,” he said.

Abdullahi claimed those against the Bill had not lost a relative to violence instigated by hate speech.

“People who may be having some opposing views about it definitely are not in the category of people who have lost dear ones and family or livelihood to similar circumstances. If they are, I think they will be saying how I wish this was in place before this thing happened to me.

“We are also careful not to allow anybody take that and think he can continuously use it to oppress other people for whatever reason,” he said.

“That (victimisation) is not possible, the bill does not leave it as an administrative act. The jurisdiction here is purely before the Federal High Court. The commission is independent and nobody can direct or influence it. The moment it is put in place, no authority can give it directives. It is independently empowered.

“They have processes through which they will do conciliations, and where there are conciliations between parties, they have to sign agreement as an undertaking to abide by whatever terms and conditions are agreed upon with that conciliation. But where it becomes necessary that a person needs to be charged to court, it must be the Federal High Court for prosecution and at the court, you are entitled to your counsel.

“The commission is expected to do conciliation first and that is why they are also expected to monitor under their functions and when they monitor and see different kinds of people who are already going in the way of hate speech, they will draw cautions.

“By the time you get about five people that some people are involved in this kind of speech and they are being asked to refrain which they did, then you can see that we are already taking preventive measures,” he added.

PoliticsPHOTOS: Mom Unbothered About Her Baby Born With 4 Hands, 3 Legs In Kaduna by vanessaRN(op): 11:55am On Mar 03, 2018
https://www.reportnaija.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Untitled-22.png
A mum,,,Malama Hawwa’u Jamilu, 24, is excited with her newborn twins. The local nurses that delivered the twins noticed that one of them was born with four hands and three legs.
Strangely, Hawwa’u was not perturbed about the physique of her baby. She told Daily Trust that she regarded it as part of the might of Allah.

“Both of them are female. Of course, one would have loved to deliver the babies without any deformity. But since Allah in His infinite mercy had decided to create the twins like this, what can I do? This is why you see me relaxed, and I love them both.”

The only peculiar behaviour exhibited by the deformed twin, is a big appetite.

“Apart from that,” Hawwa’u said, “she is normal like any other baby. Have you forgotten that I carried her in my womb for nine months? I love my daughter and I know that she is human, despite her physical challenge.”

Hawwa’u said she has given birth three times before now, making the twins her fourth delivery during her six years of marriage.
Similarly, Hawwa’u said she doesn’t attend ante-natal sessions, saying that she delivered her other children at home, same as the twins.

“I think the problem is not failure to visit the hospital, because the twins are not my first. As I said earlier, it is just the will of Allah. I gave birth three times, and I have not experienced anything like this. This is the will of Allah and there is nothing one can do about it,” she said.

Daily Trust learnt that when the deformity was discovered, the babies were taken to hospital for examination. It was learnt that the case cannot be handled by a local hospital, but by a tertiary one.
A doctor at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Dr. Umar Abdul’aziz, said the extra leg and hands can be removed and the little girl can have a normal life. He added:

“There is nothing to worry about. It is a case that can be handled by experts after certain investigations. It is however advisable for all pregnant women to be attending ante-natal for their health and that of their unborn babies. Many things can be detected during ante-natal that would assist in safe delivery and correction of abnormalities. It is not proper at this period of the world’s development for somebody to decide to ignore ante-natal and be giving birth at home.”

As Hawwa’u continues to nurse her twins, she is optimistic that the baby will grow up to be “a special person in life.”

Kayode Ogundamisi slams billionaire Folorunsho Alakija in series of tweets.

In reaction to an earlier report about how Folorunsho Alakija rose from a polygamous family of 52 children to become a billionaire using an oil block that other companies rejected, Nigerian journalist, Kayode Ogundamisi, via a series of tweets slammed the billionaire stating that she should leave God out of her claim of rise to success cos it was a shady rise. READ TWEET BELOW.

@alakijaofficial collected oil block in Nigeria ‘by Faith’ that is the incredible story of the Gi(ant) of Africa 1 day you are the unofficial housemaid in @AsoRock running errands for the first family and by magnanimity of @NGRPresident get a oil block and richest 9ja woman.

#FolorunsoAlakija for so long we have allowed those who shared Nigeria’s commonwealth tell story they want us to hear. @alakijaofficial is not a story of some hard-working woman who just stumbled into “bad oil well turned good oil well” miracle. I Will do a thread before Monday.

So let us take another look at @alakijaofficialFor so long she sold the story of how #FolorunsoAlakija SUDDENLY got LUCKY. stumbled into one of Nigeria’s ‘BAD’ oil block and God turned it around making it a gold mine. Her tale is not unusual of those who rape our commonwealth.

Who is @alakijaofficial official spin is that of an entrepreneur but the reality like most Nigerian so called billionaires is a 1% cabal who acted as fronts to those who hijack state power for the benefit of themselves against the interests of the majority. A close nit RACKET.

From @AlikoDangote Femi Otedola MKO Abiola etc hardly will you dig into the real source of the wealth of so called successful Nigerian billionaires without tracing elements of state loot, unfair allocation of monopoly & private capture of national wealth same as @alakijaofficial

In the brutal days of Nigerian military dictators, they had civilian collaborators who acted as fronts, they are those described by the first set of coup plotters as the “Ten percenters” They form companies, form banks, the coupist divert commonwealth to this banks & companies

@alakijaofficiala announced her arrival amongst Nigerian elite as a ‘Fashion designer’ gained the attention of Nigeria’s version of Imelda Marcos wife of then dictator General IBB. Maryam Babangida was a powerful co distributor of Nigeria’s commonwealth OIL. #FolorunsoAlakija

@alakijaofficial became the lead fashion designer to Maryam Babangida who was the wife of Nigeria’s then dictator General IBB. Alakija was very close to her and had unfettered access to the Babangida’s and the then First Lady @AsoRock #FolorunsoAlakija

Successive Nigerian governments, occupants of @AsoRock routinely turned Nigeria’s oil block into some sort of candy they distribute as gifts to concubines, friends, associates, etc. No transparency, no competitive bid, it is at the mercy of @NGRPresident @alakijaofficialgained

@alakijaofficial inroad into the Babangida’s was facilitated by her friend, Biodun Laja, Rilwanu Lukman who was Secretary General of OPEC from 1 January 1995 to 31 December 2000 was the point man in OIL well bazar. Between them and IBB Nigeria’s oil well was gifted like candy.

@alakijaofficial story about being allocated a ‘useless oil block’ is a con story perpetuated over the years unchallenged. @alakijaofficialand those she was fronting for in @AsoRockknew they had a juicy oil block, they shortchanged Nigerians and as usual & continue to mock us

@alakijaofficial was gifted the oil block like bazar and the fashion designer abandoned her trade In incorporating Famfa Oil in 1991, and in 1993, it was awarded the leasehold rights to Oil Prospecting Licence, OPL 216. NOTE General Ibrahim Babangida was @NGRPresident 1985-1993.

@alakijaofficial continuously describe oil block confirmed to have recoverable reserves in excess of 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent as a ‘bad oil block turned lucky’ What she does not say is good or bad, then @NGRPresident@AsoRock should not turn commonwealth into bazar

@alakijaofficial continuously describe oil block confirmed to have recoverable reserves in excess of 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent as a ‘bad oil block turned lucky’ What she does not say is good or bad, then @NGRPresident@AsoRock should not turn commonwealth into bazar

rom Banks, to companies and now politics, the Nigerian commonwealth is circulating amongst so called ‘connected’ few. Honest entrepreneurs, stat ups, SME’s continue to suffer, they are sold LIES by the likes of @alakijaofficial @AlikoDangote Otedola, Micheal Adenuga and co

What the @alakijaofficial’s of Nigeria won’t tell young Nigerians is that a wing of the ruling elite appropriate resources belonging to all to a wing of the elite in the business community in what is a brutal version of capitalism, keeping the poor, poorer, hungry and dejected

When @alakijaofficial‘s of Nigeria make loads of free money, they become ‘philanthropists’ throwing a bit of crumb of what they appropriate from the poor back at them, so we create more billionaires than pull many out of poverty. We can’t all be STUPID. Don’t teach us nonsense

PoliticsBoko Haram Not Totally Defeated, But Terribly Degraded – Presidency by vanessaRN(op): 1:11pm On Feb 26, 2018
https://www.reportnaija.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Femi-Adesina-2.jpg
The Presidency has admitted that the war against Boko Haram insurgency has not ended, saying the terrorists have not been completely defeated.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, said this during his appearance on Channels Television’s political programme, Sunday Politics.

Despite the series of attack by the insurgents in recent times, the presidential aide maintained that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has recorded a notable progress in the war against the insurgency.

“If the operating word is ‘totally’, the answer is no obviously – but has Boko Haram been degraded? I will say yes, terribly so,” said Adesina. “You can compare then and now, they have been terribly, terribly degraded but is the war over? No, it is not completely over.”

“Compare how Boko Haram was in 2015 when this administration came, they were virtually running riot everywhere – how many time was Kano bombed, how many time was Abuja bombed, how many time was Kogi bombed; Boko Haram was everywhere,” he added.

The President’s spokesman regretted the abduction of 110 students of the Government Girls Science Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi, in Yobe State, by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

He said: “Truly, it should never have happened. After what the country experienced in the Chibok girls’ saga, this one that just happened in Dapchi should never have happened.”

Adesina, however, assured Nigerians that that President Muhammadu Buhari is doing all that is needful and necessary to ensure the safe return of the students.

He noted that two delegations had visited the community of the incident in the directive of the President, adding: “if the President needs to visit (the state), he will surely visit.”

The presidential aide explained that while Borno State happened to be the epicentre of Boko Haram attacks, Adamawa and Yobe states had been quite calm with the situation under control in recent times.

He was of the view that the terrorists must have found their way back to Yobe after they had been displaced from their stronghold in Borno (Sambisa), which could have led to the abduction of the girls.

He reiterated the commitment of the government to bringing the girls back safely, stressing that the situation is getting adequate response from the military.

CrimeWoman Drowns In Ondo Cherubim And Seraphim Church's Well, Pastor Arrested by vanessaRN(op): 12:59pm On Feb 26, 2018
A middle-aged woman, Mrs. Funke Ojo, has been found dead inside a well on the premises of a Cherubim and Seraphim Church at Ayedun Quarter, Akure, Ondo State.

The incident, which happened on Sunday, was described as a mystery by residents, who could not explain how the victim got into the well.

A source said the deceased did not have any history of mental illness.

He explained that she left her mother’s house and went to the church for a programme, adding that no one in the church was aware of her presence until she was found dead in the well.

The source said, “On Saturday night, she complained to her mother that she was having slight malarial fever. She later told her mother that she wanted to go to the church. The mother asked her to rest since she had malaria, but she insisted on going to the church.

“Nobody knew how she got into the well. It was a man who wanted to fetch water in the well this morning (Sunday) that saw her lifeless body and raised the alarm.”

It was gathered that some youths in the area removed the corpse from the well.

Following the incident, the pastor of the church, Segun Oriade, was said to have been arrested by the police for interrogation.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Femi Joseph, who confirmed the incident, said the pastor’s arrest was to aid investigation.

He said, “It happened early this morning (Sunday). The deceased was sick and her mother took her to the church for prayers. Later, she (the deceased) went home, but returned to the church on Saturday evening.

“They found her lifeless body inside the well on Sunday morning. Nobody can say anything about it for now, but we have commenced investigation into the matter.

Many of you know, love and respect the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Adeyemi. You also might have heard about his most prominent children, like Princess Folashade or Prince Akeem. But did you know that Alaafin has (at least) twenty grown children? In this article, we will tell you all about Alaafin of Oyo children.

Meet Alaafin of Oyo's children
Who is the Alaafin of Oyo?

Meet Alaafin of Oyo's children

First of all, let’s get the technicalities out of the way. Alaafin (literally translated as the Man of the Palace in Yoruba), is the name for the emperor of the Oyo empire. Even though the empire now mostly exists in the history books and in Yoruba people’s hearts, it is an important traditional post.

Since 1970, Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi the Third, more commonly known as Oba Adeyemi, has occupied this post. He was born in 1938 on October 15, which makes him 78 years old. He has four wives. He has been together with his first wife, Ayaba Abibat, for more than fifty years. Like Adeyemi, she is also 78 years old. Whereas his most recent wife is also the youngest. She will be 28 in November this year.

His four wives have given him many children, and today we will tell you more about 20 of them that have already achieved something great. They are all considered princes and princesses, so we will drop the honorifics to not repeat ourselves.

Babatunde Israel Adeyemi

This Alaafin of Oyo son has graduated from Uthman-Dan-Fodio University in Sokoto. He is a certified lawyer and a professional in his trade. Currently, he is in his fifties, working as a pastor, as well as working at Oodu’a Investment Ltd. Babatunde has a beautiful wife Omolara, who is the Justice at High Court of Oyo state. They have a wonderful family and kids. He is humble and kind.

Alaafin of Oyo’s most famous daughter received higher education in the United States. She is the CEO of Arewa House of Culture. In addition to that, she is involved in politics and she the leader of women in Oyo. Folashade could be described as a smart and cultured woman who stays true to her heritage.

PoliticsAmaechi Threatens To Release Names Of Those Sabotaging Security by vanessaRN(op): 1:46pm On Feb 23, 2018
https://www.reportnaija.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/MG_0004-4-300x214.jpg
Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has said that cabals are frustrating the recently approved $198m maritime security contract.

Amaechi vowed to publicly mention names of saboteurs while speaking at a Maritime Stakeholders’ Interactive Forum held in Warri, Delta State on Thursday.

He said “Reason, why vessels will not come to the Eastern ports, is because there is war insurance due to insecurity in the ports here.

“The war insurance means if the goods cost N10,000 in Lagos, it will cost N20,000 here because there is an extra cost on it due to Insecurity issues. Even as a minister, I can’t enter a boat ride from Warri to Port Harcourt due to insecurity issues, but I can move around Lagos at any time of the day.

“I once asked a former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, why people from Anambra don’t import from Port Harcourt port, and he said it cost less to import from Lagos and move to Onitsha even with the price they pay on the road. It is cheaper to import from Lagos to Aba, yet Aba to Port Harcourt is a 30-minute drive.

“For shipowners, you need to do a petition to Mr President. The President approved a contract of $195m for maritime security, but there are people in the system sabotaging the contract because it will restore security in the water. I won’t say who they are until it gets out of control. We are still battling for the contract to take place, but if it gets out of place, we will name them publicly, including the security people involved.

“There are people who make billions of Dollars from the insecurity on the water, so they don’t want security on the water because if we secure the water, all their rubbish will go.

“There are businesses which provide the vessel for oil companies in the name of providing security. The moment we secure the water, they are out of jobs?

TravelTribute To 6 Seminarians Who Died In Accident 2 Years Ago By Noel Ify Alomona by vanessaRN(op): 1:28pm On Feb 23, 2018
Mr Noel Ify Alomona is the CEO of Hope For Africa Children Initiative (HACI) an NGO that send children to school on scholarship.

wrote a touching tribute to the 7 seminarians who died in a fatal accident two years ago in Enugu state.

Read his touching tribute below.

Two Years in Mind – Brief and Painless!

I have been writing, but I couldn’t write anything on this subject since February 1st. So, the whole of today was not so wonderful for me. I tried to nibble some words on the paper but couldn’t. I thought it was my usual block; I went to bed, got up and tried again. But yet, the right words were not forthcoming. I just sat on my reading table at the study, my left hand supporting my jaw, with my eyes fixed steadily on the paper. At a point, I lost touch with the environment. I was lost in deep thought and before I knew what was up, I had soaked myself in tears.

Everything came alive at this point. I practically could visualize the moments preceding the accident of that black Monday. I remembered Michael’s and Emeka’s positions in the pew during Vespers, the night before. They were very unusual. I remember asking Michael if all was alright that night. I remembered how Agbo practically carried me upstairs on his back, after supper (same Sunday night). Joachim and Adah were so cool that night. And Dozie kept calling me “Ify B” while he went about doing his functions in the morning. Those were my personal experiences with these Heroes on the 21st February.

Though still fresh in my memory, but I don’t wish to recount the accident that claimed the lives of my Six Heroes. We come to terms with losses, but some of them we never get over. Their absence is one of those.

And then, in the midst of my grief today, I was faced with the daunting task of crafting a farewell note for these extraordinary friends of mine, who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith. They were the best of talents, great scholars and promising stars. As if they were handpicked, Emeka, Dozie, Mike, Adah, Agbo and Joachim were irreplaceable friends, and were all intellectual tour de force, whose loss leaves an enormous hole in the house and in the community.

Mike was a gentle soul – someone with all the time in the world for you, no matter who you are. He belonged to everyone and was very generous to a fault! Emeka, an all-rounder, was a jovial and multi-talented fellow. He was good at all the games you could think of. Dozie, the cool and very intelligent one (he taught me Latin and I had a Summa), compassionate and a good singer. Agbo Emmanuel, a brother, a close friend, a confidant, one of the best people I have ever known in life. Agbo’s generosity marveled me sometimes. Joachim, calm and collected – will always be remembered for his balance and poise, and his great curiosity – an intelligent leader. A finer fellow a person could not stop wanting to meet. Adah Emmanuel was a true definition of humanity. There was never a dull moment when Adah was around. I remember how he made the house lively with his thrilling jokes. In my life I am yet to meet a person greater than Adah – a selfless gentleman who cherished all people around him. It was easy to look up to Adah, he was a perfect human being.

I have been in deep thought through out today, and now I know that our life is an unavoidable journey towards death. Death is an inescapable reality, and for we who profess Christ, it is a necessity. It is a blow which visits every man once in a lifetime; an experience which all living beings must taste equally – rich and poor, great and small alike. No wonder it is called the great leveler. And on its universality, the psalmist probes “What man shall live and not see death?”

It’s Two Years already! Your demise shook the whole world. Your deaths were brutish but painless! Rest on brothers! I know you’re all in heaven. We may have parted now, but we will all meet to part no more. You will forever live in Our Hearts.

Hasta la Vista
Tchau
Adieu Mon Frere
Arrivederci

Politics”kaduna State Has A Military Administrator Not A Governor” – Senator Shehu Sani by vanessaRN(op): 2:34pm On Feb 22, 2018
https://www.reportnaija.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/5a8ea1372186a.jpg
In a recent interview with Channels TV, Senator Shehu Sani, who represents Kaduna Central in the senate, accused the govenor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai, of running the state like he was a military administrator.

Sani said this while reacting to the demolition of the secretariat of an APC faction in the state on Tuesday February 20th. He accused Governor El-Rufai of going against anyone opposed to how he is running the state.

What is happening in Kaduna is simply tyranny. We don’t have an elected governor we have a military administrator, one who thinks that everything should go his own way. He engineered the party to suspend us, to suspend me. That is about a year and half ago. When the suspension (El-Rufai’s suspension) came, he became very angry moving about bulldozers to bring down buildings,” he said.

Senator Sani also reacted to claims that he has been very critical of Ek-Rufai’s government because he wants to become the governor of the state.

I don’t know when I criticised Babangida, Abacha and other tyrants of the past whether I wanted to be President. When things go wrong, I speak out against President Muhammadu Buhari, does that now mean that I want to be President for speaking out?” he said

Big brother Naija housemate, Nina and her partner Miracle trended on social media just some few days ago for their sexual romp on the show. Nina got several backlash on social media right from the day she made out with Miracle. But a Nigerian lady has come to her defense, saying most girls have sex for just Domino Pizza.

According to the unidentified lady, mot Nigerian girls will sleep with men just to get phones and even Domino Pizza without anyone knowing about them. She claims, at least Nina is on a course and she is known across the country, if not the continent.

The lady believed it is quite shameful for most other girls to shame an individual that is more popular than them and at the same time doing something reasonable with her life.

Watch the video:

The video of Nina and Miracle having something that looked like a sexual intercourse on the Big Brother Naija show, went viral. And in the video, Miracle was captured right behind Nina and humping her right under the duvet.

Nina looked as if she was oblivious of what was happening, but from the look on her face it was certain she was feeling something was hitting her.

But in what seems to be another angle to their love story, Nina is currently accusing Miracle of not caring about her anymore after he had gone down with her. She even went further to mention to him that he has been going round the house to tell other housemates that they had sex.

She was engaged in a heated conversation with Miracle just yesterday and she said;

“You have change a lot. This is not the person I used to know.”

Miracle in his defense tried to understand what he had done and she responded saying:,

“I never know you talk too much. Why did you tell them that we had sex on camera. Our relationship has depreciated and you no longer care about me. I longer enjoy the relationship the way I used to.”

Miracle however did not show any remorse for his actions

PoliticsADP Blasts Ambode Over Refuse On The Streets Of Lagos by vanessaRN(op): 9:31am On Feb 22, 2018
https://www.reportnaija.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/ambode-lagos.png
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has described the heaps of refuse that have recently characterized Lagos as a disaster, an eye-sore and a shame to be associated with a strategic state like Lagos.

The party has warned of a possible outbreak of an epidemic in the state.

The party through its Lagos spokesman, Prince Adelaja Adeoye has drawn the attention of the Lagos state governor to the health risks that the refuse on the streets present to the residents of Lagos urging the governor to wake up from his slumber and avert a possible outbreak of avoidable diseases like cholera, diarrhoea and so many others that can be caused by dirty environments.

ADP said that it is really sad that with the massive resources that are available to the state under Governor Ambode, including technological advancements made worldwide in refuse clearing and recycling, that Lagosians will still be exposed to this kind of tragedy. The party stressed that it was wrong for the government of the state to discard a working PSP system that had effectively curtailed the refuse dumps across the state and also created jobs for local vendors.

The party says that Lagos should have been developed to a stage where such refuse can innovatively be used for renewable energy to further help in the generation of stable electricity which will create more jobs for the growing population of Lagos. ADP alleges that the APC has lied to Lagosians a lot.

The party also condemned the incessant demolitions of property in the state, claiming that most of the time, the property destroyed to pave way for construction of roads are not necessary. ADP said in many other cases, victims are not duly compensated; citing the Otodo Gbame case as one out of many.

ADP has called on Lagosians and Nigerians in general to support it; because the party is the true alternative political platform and it is a pro-masses party with the plan to make Nigeria a place of pride for all. They have said that if Lagosians support the party, they will bring them a better deal after 2019.
hem a better deal after 2019.
