You can say that there are states in Great Britain which are England, Wales and Scotland. And a nation can be referred to as a state.

Lagos is like California. In Cali, they have Los Angeles and co and in Lag, we have Ikeja and co. What is difficult in understanding that a state is not a city. Or is California a city?

Technically speaking, Lagos is beyond a city; it is a conurbation!

However, it isn't a crime to call Lagos a city in an informal conversation. we can call her a LARGE city (a conurbation).

A state can be a conurbation (territory with cities within it) but a state can not be a city. Why is Rivers state not referred to as a city? When a Lagosian living in Lekki fills a form, what does he write as his city and state respectively.

Define what a city is and then come and defend ur statement. Let me guess, new York city is also not a city because it is a state? From berger to oworonshoki to ikoyi to Victoria island to bandagry; no single bush. If that is not a city what else is?

The capital of NY State is NYC and there are other cities within New York state eg. Brooklyn etc. Even Mumbai is a city in Maharashtra, India. A city is not absence of "bush" so why is it hard to choose a city within Lagos state that'll represent.

I'll suggest Lekki.

All these northeast, south south etc were first coined by late Abacha in his independence broadcast of october 1, 1996.

I referenced FRSC on the number of injured persons in the "lone" accident which included: "(1)the driver (2) the chief detail (3) the police orderly and (4) the personal assistant. That is 4 IPs. When you add that to the 3 fatalities, is that not 7 persons?

So, I wonder. Can it be that the SUV was overloaded? Is it that an incompetent driver was engaged without properly training him on defensive driving? Were they all wearing their seat belts?

Learnings From Incident: 1. Drive defensively, 2. Don't overspeed (it kills), 3. Don't overload vehicle, 4. And more importantly, wear seat belt through the duration of journey (it saves lives)
