It's just like asking an Igbo if he can name his child Oluwaseun. Yes he can! Oluwaseun means Kelechi in igbo.
I can only translate whatever name (be it Hausa, English or Hebrew) to Igbo version of it and name it my child. Ordinarily, I don't believe in luck (whether good or bad). I may consider Jonathan(the surname) if I know the meaning.
So, what's the meaning of Buhari? |

Thanks guys No nwa , as u apply over drive technique, don't stay in the RED zone of the rpm meter (above 7000 rpm) for a long period of time. It can FRY ur engine |

TheRainmaker1: Thanks Boss.
Time to go experiment what I've just learnt U asked about circumstances u can use them. For D1, when u're stucked in sand or mud and u need to maintain gear 1 power to get ur car out. For D2, when u're ascending a hilly road and ur engine is loosing power. To gain instant engine power, u need drop to D2( just like in manual trans) For D3 (if a car does not have it, OD button does the function), when u're trying to overtake in low rev say 2500 rpm and need to rev up to say 5500 rpm to gain more engine power to overtake successfully. |

xrisdon: Remember we are still operating presidential system of goverment!
we have what is called... 'separation of power" so, why are you saying that the executives controls the judiciary Who approves the appointment of judges? Do judges have any say in national budget like the legislative arm has Who determines the salaries and allowances of judges Remember, he who pays the piper calls the tune. This is an extract from Wikipedia on the structure and organisation of Supreme court of Nigeria: "The Supreme Court is composed of the Chief Justice of Nigeria and such number of justice not more than 21, "appointed" by the President on the "recommendation" of the National Judicial Council and subject to "confirmation" by the Senate". You see how dependent judiciary is? That your" separation of power" exist only in secondary school government textbooks. |

xrisdon: hmmm, only if you know how these things work!
EFCC/ ICPC can not convict someone, the judges does! for instant, EFCC may be aware that someone is truely guilty of an offence, but if they don't have much evidence to prove it in court, they are on a long thing. When I say" they", I'm referring to a bigger system not just to EFCC or ICPC as a body. I keep mentioning EFCC and ICPC laws. That bigger system is the Nigeria government, headed by the executive arm. As the main" paymaster", the executive arm dictates how those judges function. We see and hear all manner of ridiculous judgements. Plea bargain: steal billions, return thousands and keep &enjoy the rest.meanwhile, steal a phone and be sentenced to 50 years in prison. Hope you know the cases I'm referring to? |

xrisdon: I agree with you especially on this...... "what is the penalty for stealing govt's money?" but again, thats where our law makers comes in, they should enact laws base on that regard. We have EFCC and ICPC laws. They seem only to prosecute and convict yahoo yahoo boys. Sadly, this administration has not successfully executed EFCC and ICPC law on any notable corrupt personality in country. |

Fynline: The Nigerian military on Wednesday said it has killed over 300 Boko Haram insurgents and captured many others in its ongoing six-week counter-insurgency operation in North Eastern Nigeria.
The Defence spokesperson, Chris Olukolade, a Major General, in a statement said the massive casualty on the insurgents is a result of the ongoing air and land operation in the area in the past two days.
He said several weapons and equipment were also captured while some were destroyed during the operation.
Mr. Olukolade said five armoured vehicles, one anti-aircraft gun, 50 cases of packed bombs, eight different types of machine guns and five rocket propelled grenade were recovered from the operation.
He also said 49 boxes of various types and calibres of ammunition, 300 motorcycles, six Hilux vehicles, including those mounted with anti-aircraft guns, were destroyed.
Mr. Olukolade said the “aggressive” operation by troops of the Nigerian military will continue to ensure that 11 communities – Monguno, Gabchari, Abba Jabari, Zuntur, Gajigana, Gajiram, Damakar, Kumaliwa, Bosso Wanti, Jeram and Kabrisungul – now dominated by the military is cleared of insurgents.
The spokesperson said two soldiers died during the operation while 10 others were wounded.
He said various phases of the highly coordinated operations is also ongoing in the designated theatres being handled by contingents involved in the renewed counter-terrorism campaign in and outside Nigeria.
The military had on Monday said it recaptured Monguno town and other communities from terrorists.
Boko Haram had carried out a pre-dawn attack on Monguno, which is about 137 kilometres from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital over two weeks ago.
The takeover of Monguno and other communities brought Boko Haram closer to Maiduguri but the army successfully repelled the insurgents’ attempts to get into Maiduguri. Pls we need sauce to eat and digest this news |

Franchise21: It doesn't work like dat... D car stopped on a hilly ground... D instructor z correct I know what I'm talking about. I drove manual transmission for almost 2 years and I enjoyed driving it. I drove it almost like it was automatic transmission. Maybe I omitted something . When you clutch down, press down the brake too before engaging the gear 1. Start releasing the clutch gently to the point you start feeling the vibration. Hold the clutch at that level and start releasing the brake (without even pressing the throttle, the car will start moving as if you are releasing the brake of automatic car) When you remove your right foot from the brake pedal and throttle, remove your left foot from the clutch pedal (It is not a good practice to clutch and throttle at the same time - coasting). Try it again and thank me later |

I got to a small hill and somehow the car stopped just as i was climbing it the car stopped again. When I started it with my legs on the clutch and brake, my instructor told me to immediately place my leg on the accelrator and move but what I saw was the car moving backwards............... in short after 45mins of driving I saw that the difference between an automatic car and a manual or stick-shift car is as great as day and night. Ur instructor is a bad one! How can he tell u to immediately remove ur left foot from the clutch pedal u throttle It doesn't work it that. The clutching system of both manual and automatic gear system works on the same principle. For automatic, when you have ur right foot on the brake pedal and engage the gear, you will feel the vibration. This signals that the gear is engaged n u can throttle without the car rolling back. And for the manual, u clutch down u engage gear 1. Then gently release the clutch n at point while you're releasing the clutch gently, you'll feel the vibration. Hold the clutch at that level and simply,(without rush) press the accelerator pedal and the car moves without rolling back even in an uphill slope. Before I forget, Congrats on ur new car ******** Modified************ Maybe I omitted something . When you clutch down, press down the brake too before engaging the gear 1.
