Thr constitution is very clear on the role of the Nigerian police in the society and doesn't have to mention them in each section.

A little reading would have saved you from embarassing yourself in a public forum.

GEJ is a daft cretin. He obviously tried to lock Tambuwal out so he can be impeached. His idiotic advisors need to tell him that type of hooliganism won't work at the Federal level
Go and peruse the constitution, before making your comment, for your information Tambuwal is now an ordinary citizen, he is no longer a member of the house.
PoliticsRe: Police release NEW VIDEO: Extraordinary Scenes Inside Nigeria National Assembly by vanunu: 5:04am On Nov 23, 2014
These house members are simply lawless and shameless. They are nothing but empty vessels, simply to adhere to what the constitution says ,they will not, instead they will blame the president who is enjoying himself with the oyel moni in UK.

The Nigerian police once again failed in its duty as the nations law enforcers. They should not have allowed Tambuwal to enter the house, since he is no longer a member of the house.

PoliticsRe: Police To Invite The Speaker Over The Thursday's National Assembly Crisis by vanunu: 8:10am On Nov 22, 2014
The Nigerian constitution is quite clear on issues bordering on defection, I don't know why all these noise. If it is in civilized societies, Tambuwal should be in jail by now, he knows quite clearly that he is no longer a member of the house, the police should carry its duty unhindered . Nigeria is really a banana republic where people don't respect the constitution.

let me start by saying, I support nobody here either GEJ, PDP or APC.

the truth jst have to be told,
first is corruption, inconsistent policy at different angle of gov parastatals, agency.

secondly, gov has no business wit the industry, either FG or STATE. it shld be run independently, and oil companies remit taxes to giv pocket, gov shld only be concerned abt their tax, dat all. bt bcause of pcorruption, FG can allow d industry to be.

thirdly is total deregulation of the oli section, bth downstream and upstream.. jst like the telecom sectir. no gov interference at any level, gov agency jst need to make them abide by rules and regulation. that all.

let tyem ff thise three tin, and you will see that the oil giant in the world will scramble ontop each other to have a refinery here in our country, the like of BP, total, shell, CNPC, and a whole lot of oil magnate will fall in.

we all knw hw much a min call was bak in year 2000, bt now with 10, even less, we can mak a minute call.

NOTE. wen I mean total deregulation., I mean gov shld remive his hand completely, and let investors take charge, they shld go wit their useless subsidy, thit we will feel it for like two yr or more, but on the lng run, blive me, prices of PMS AGO and the likes, will comes down very well, we might even be buying it at less than #50.
Go and ask gej what he got when he tried to remove fuel subsidy.

Muscomide:
Going through the posts on this thread, it is clear that the average Igbo man/woman still harbours a lot of deep seated resentment against their perceived enemies, the Northerners. This is very unfortunate. It is also evident that the Igbo are wary of the Yoruba for seemingly forming a coalition with the North to remove Jonathan from power next year. In a way, this is the whole First Republic scenario playing itself out again. We all know where that ended - a civil war that lasted for 30 months with the loss of an estimated two million lives.

For those now beating the drums of war in Nigeria again, war no be 'beans' o.

From the posts on this thread, it is obvious that a lot of Igbo and people from the South-south never want to entertain the notion of a President of Northern extraction in Nigeria ever again. To such people, I urge restraint and pragmatism. Democracy is a game of numbers. Combined, the peoples of the core North and the South-west outnumber the Igbo and South-south combined. Where in the world does the minority rule over the majority?

One's fear is that the intransigence being shown by the Igbo and South-south peoples towards a Northern Presidency does not bode well for Nigeria. Is it realistic to expect that no Northerner ever rules Nigeria again in the future? Can the minority continue to lord it over the majority indefinitely?
What igbos don't want is an islamic extremist becoming the president of nigeria. There still some good northerners, people like col. Abubakar umar, vice president sambo, david mark etc. We do not want an islamist period

yes exactly my point, boko haram is DOING it BUT haven't DONE it yet. The nigeria government and military needs to disrupt the process of doing it . They can't just allow a rebel movement to feel comfortable within the nigeria territory. Although I think the fg has purposely scaled down it offensive against boko haram because of the up coming elections
From the way things are going now, it looks likely that elections will not hold in five boko haram states. The implication is that gej is most likely going win the next election. Perhaps, that inform the recent call by apc for the president to resign.

Is this how boko haram guys going to use the dynamites stolen from Asaka Cenent Factories to destroy lives of the innocent?

When terrorism started in the North as a Child play the sponsors then didn't know it will take a very dangerous dimension being witnessed today. Then they targeted certain people and centers, ando as they were having the upper hand their sponsors and sympathisers had field days to showcase the murderous champions. Now they have crossed the boundary with their attacks on just anyone, including those who have celebrated them before.

In a sane society anything that is a threat to the lives of people, even the enemies shouldn't be allowed to find its way through in the first instance. All people can see the beginning of a war but no one can determine the extent of its devastation. Therefore love and embrace peace. Don't support crime in any form.

Anytime I see wickedness in the North I weep for the future of the region.
In 1966 this people killed 50,000 igbos within 6months and, the world looked the other way..

I remember a bomb hit Boston and killed 2 Americans who participated in the Boston Marathon. The whole media was awash with the news. CNN and other mainstream media gave us minute-by-minute update on how the two suspects were being tracked. Nigerians got so interested and emotional about people they knew very little about. The Nigerian social media space trended with things like "Pray for Boston", "America we are with you," Even the Federal Government of Nigeria extended their sympathy to the people of the United States. While the hollywood-like search for the two suspects went on, there was at least 7 bomb blasts in Nigeria that killed scores of people, yet the same Nigerian's that were all over social media "praying" for Americans moved on and kept mute like nothing happened. What did the GEJ do? He went on a campaign rally dancing behind a twerking woman, whose picture was circulated by my friend and brother Nasir El-Rufai.

Fast forward till today, in less than two weeks we have had over 100 people killed by the Haramites using bombs! Upper and lower limbs littered all over the place, innocent blood soaking and drenching our land; Cities captured and renamed, and a whole lot of atrocities. Yet, our media has focused on Tambuwal. Other new media such as Linda Ikeji and Nairaland preferred to turn their focus on big booties. And what did our president do? He jetted out to Burkina Faso to broker a change in power, while his people and his country are under siege by the haramites. No presidential statement have been made about the captured Nigerian territories. No presidential statement on the bombed people of Gombe and Bauchi people, and the list goes on and on.

Are we as Nigerians and our government now thick-skinned to the loss of Nigerian lives? Does Jonathan even deserve to be called the President of Nigeria. Why do people living south, make such outrageous statements as "Let them keep killing themselves?" Is this now the level of Nigerian humanity?

I have said this and I will say it again, If this haramite madness continues, we must be prepared to kiss Nigeria goodbye come 2015. There is imminent war and violence brewing in all parts of Nigeria, except the South West and North-West. This war and violence will definitely consume Nigeria, and Jonathan will be our last president if he attempts to rig. Again, if this incompetent and wicked leader rigs this elections, then I can tell you with all sincerity, we must kiss Nigeria good bye. History is a good teacher, and we cannot ignore the American Intelligence report on the existence of Nigeria beyond 2015. As for me. I have refurnished my house Iowa, United States ready to be occupied if GEJ presses that botton. Unfortunately not all Nigerians can escape a burning country. For this reason, we must fight this government out of power for the survival of Nigeria.

It is not all gloomy. We have a chance to change the status quo. We have a chance to change the rot of corruption in Nigeria and allow Nigeria exist beyond 2015. We have that chance in General Mohammadu Buhari. I can tell you, the people's General will certainly make politics unattractive to looters, once they have been locked up in jail and the keys thrown away.

A word is enough for the wise!

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: So This Is Why America Said Nigeria Will Split In 2015? by vanunu: 1:05pm On Nov 06, 2014
Northerners have no other person but themselves to blame for their predicament. The Northerners enshrined injustice into the Nigerian system. In 1966 when more than 50,00 ethnic Ibos were brutally killed in towns and cities all over Northern Nigeria, nobody was brought to book, since then, numerous other incidences of Northern brutality against the Ibos, Southerners and minority northern christians has occurred without anybody getting any prison term. There are several instances where Northern Elites spoke against military intervention against boko haram. People like Atiku, Buhari, Shehu Sani, El rufai and so many other prominent Northerners frustrated early military intervention to stop the Islamists. El Rufai even stated that "one man's terrorist is another mans freedom fighter" .
