20 hours is almost a full day. That's more than enough and very normal too. You should be getting at least 6hrs SOT from it which is not bad too.

Only the 13 pro max, 22 ultra and some other high end phones can do 2 days for you.

There's nothing wrong with your battery.

Thanks for your input. It's well appreciated.

You are very right. Mr. Patrick should take to these criticisms, learn from them and improve his services. Like I mentioned earlier his services are expensive and I think I am better off paying a physical assistant 50k a month than to give out that money to a virtual one.
.
The website needs alot of professional touches too. He should make it look more like an agency or company web than a personal profile or portfolio page.

Thanks a lot for your comments.

Pricing

I'll like to share my experience with you. More than 10 years ago, I registered the first CV writing company in Nigeria, CV Wizards. Then I was charging N1,500 for CV and N2,000 for CV and cover letter. Irrespective of the client's experience or extent of work involved, my fees were fixed. As expected, I got a lot of orders on a daily basis. I made some money too, but the workload was massive.

In 2015, I dropped CV Wizards and started using my name. I didn't make any adjustment to my fees, so there was no significant change in my income. Fast forward to 2017, I increased my fees drastically. My lowest package was N7,000 for CV and N2,500 for cover letter, and that's for entry level. Depending on experience, I could charge up to 20K for CV and cover letter. Someone who doesn't know much about pricing will think that's the end of my CV writing business, but na lie. My orders reduced as expected, which means less work for me, but guess what? My income increased by more than 5 times.

This price you said is on the high side, people are already paying. In fact, the very first week I launched, someone ordered the 50K package. The fact that majority cannot afford it does not mean that others will not buy. There are different segments in a market. While some businesses can decide to serve the lower ebb, others go for the high end.

Website

Like every other thing in life, there's always room for improvement. From time to time, the site will be updated. However, contrary to your views, there's nothing on that site that suggests it's not an agency. Disregard the outlook for a moment, the beauty of the site is in its functionality. There's more to the site than you see on the outside.

Another thing you should know, while the look of a website is important, one needs more than a fancy website to excel in business. Have a look at my CV Writing Website . When I created it, I received a lot of criticism. Today, if I tell you how much this website generates annually, you'll be shocked.

Facebook ads would have done better, I still maintain my stand. NL is the last I'll ever run ads on.

Since I launched, I have used Google PPC and referral marketing and it's been wonderful. There's no harm in trying other avenues.

grin Your number mistake is wasting your money sponsoring a post on Nairaland, A forum which %95 of it's users are dxckheads.
You should have used that money to run ads on Facebook, IG or Google

You're wrong bro. The objective of this ad was to get 30 signups, which I am going to nurture into paying clients. As at 2pm, I already got 21 signups (See screenshots). Before the end of today, there's no way I will not hit my target.

While I agree with you that there are a lot of nuisances here, there are also responsible people. In the past, I had secured 2 clients for an accounting and bookkeeping services I promoted here on Nairaland. I have also gotten hundreds of clients for my CV writing firm, and got a popular Nigerian Senator from the east (I won't mention his name) to patronize my business.

Now I know you are a clown. This is Belay's team: https://belaysolutions.com/our-company/

There would be no reason to include a team portfolio if their focus is purely on VA. No one needs to know the people behind a virtual assistant so long there are testimonials and reviews.

It becomes a thing the moment you offer multiple services and delve into digital marketing. What's interesting is that they spot their leadership instead of those who do the work which boosts their credibility and profile even more. For digital marketing agencies, you either have CASE STUDIES of your previous SEM projects or a compelling video of customer testimonials.

This same reason is why a "medical doctor" in Nigeria can confidently go on social media, talk about NUTRITION today, PREGNANCY & PARENTING tomorrow, CANCER next week Friday and then PARENTING & PSYCHOLOGY in two weeks time.

If you are going to compare your "agency" with other well-established brands, at least copy them totally. Let me assume you paid for this. It would be unfair to your business. All the best.

Is this the best you can come up with? I thought you were sharing a portfolio of the people doing the tasks. How about for other VA agencies, were you able to get their portfolios, too? I guess the answer is No. As for the details on the link, adding a profile of team members on a website is optional, and not peculiar to VA agencies.

At the bold, that's entirely your opinion.

I hope you have learnt your lesson not to poke your nose into something you have no knowledge of?

Sanchez01:

So where is the profile of your TEAM and their portfolio on the website? Let me guess, you intend taking jobs and outsourcing them, really?

I am not knocking your business and hustle but AN AGENCY will have the profile of its members, what they do cum handle and detail their skills and experience. The only face I see scattered everywhere is yours. I know a ruse when I see one.

Timeetc, Getmagic, Belaysolutions, GetFriday and AskSunday are some of the biggest VA agencies in the world. Can you show me where the profiles of their VAs are published?

The problem with you is, you think you know, whereas you don't know. This is a business that has been in operation since 2020, serving Nigerians both home and abroad. Because I decided to promote it on Nairaland, someone who has absolutely no idea what it takes to run a business is coming to teach me how to run mine. Isn't this funny?

Someone with zero web development skills and always looking for help in fixing issues in his own website is offering website design services and SEM. This is one of the problems with Nigeria.

If you don't know what an Agency is, you ask questions. Those services will be provided directly by people who have experience in those fields. I am just an overseer.

Business / Top 5 Reasons To Become A Virtual Assistant by VAPatrick: 6:04pm On Jun 24, 2022
If you’ve got good administrative, technical, or creative skills, and you’re trying to figure out the right career path for you, then you might want to consider becoming a virtual assistant.

Simply put, a virtual assistant is a self-employed individual, who offers one or more of the above-mentioned skills to clients or businesses remotely.

We now live in a digital, fast-paced world, and becoming a virtual assistant can potentially earn you a decent living.

You may be skeptical about this career path, but I urge you not to be. As a confidence booster, I have put together 5 good reasons to become a virtual assistant.

I’m sure you will be convinced at the end!

1. You can be flexible

One of the greatest advantages of being a virtual assistant is that you don’t have to report to a particular office every day, and at stipulated hours.

You can work from the comfort of your home, and at your own convenience. As long as you meet your deadlines and deliver satisfactory work, then there will be no problems between you and your clients!

Being a virtual assistant allows you to work during the times of the day when you believe you are most productive. It could be as early as 5 am, or further into the day by 6 pm.

It also gives you the time to attend to some personal matters which would’ve been impossible if you were working a regular day job. You can go to your kid’s school plays, meet up with your doctor’s appointments, or even catch your favorite TV shows!

The job also allows you to work while you are in transit. You could work on a plane, a train, and on a bus!

You can even work while you’re on vacation!

2. You can earn huge sums of money

Just in case you didn’t know, it isn’t only white collar professionals that can earn tens of thousands of Dollars a year. Virtual assistants can make that much too, depending on the quality and number of clients you have.

According to ZipRecruiter, a virtual assistant can make as much as $70,000 per year while working from home!

Besides the quality of clients you manage to secure, your skill level, and how much you are willing to improve on it, can also prompt you to earn more.

You may not earn this much at the beginning stages, but you can do so over the short and long run. As long as you are able to deliver satisfactory work and retain your clients, then you can renegotiate your fees with them later on.

A client who enjoys your services will love to retain you, and will most likely agree to an increase in pay if you ask for it at the appropriate time.

3. All you need is your already-acquired skills

Another reason you should consider being a virtual assistant is that you can begin right away.

All you need is the skills you already have!

Your writing, designing, management, or any other skill you currently have is good enough to start.

This means there will be no need for you to spend money taking extra courses. Just start with what you have and begin getting paid.

If social media management is your specialty, then use that to find the relevant clients. Those who are in need of your skills will hire you at a good price.

This is not to say you shouldn’t expand your skill set later on. You can, but remember that most courses aren’t cheap or free.

If you don’t have the money to take your desired courses, then you can use the skills you have to work as a virtual assistant, and earn the money needed to enroll.

4. It is in high demand

Today’s world moves ten times as fast as it used to, and businesses have to keep up the pace if they hope not to get outdone by their competitors.

And that is why virtual assistants are in demand, now more than ever.

Entrepreneurs have a thousand emails to go through, many articles to post on their blogs, several graphics to design, and different social media platforms to keep active.

They cannot do it all alone, and as long as you have the skill, they will gladly hire you to execute these bulky tasks for them.

Another reason entrepreneurs are looking to hire virtual assistants is that it is cost effective. They do not need to spend money on renting office spaces for full-time staff, since virtual assistants work remotely.

5. You can offer different services and work for different clients

If you have more than one skill, then you can cash in on them by being a virtual assistant. Be careful not to become a “do-it-all”, as that can affect your productivity.

The good news is, you can offer different services and get paid for them, even if you don’t have the necessary skills!

I know you’re wondering how.

Simple, just establish relationships with other virtual assistants and subcontract them to do the tasks you cannot handle.

As you may have already figured out, make sure you connect with VAs that posses the skills you don’t have. Agree on their fees, and pass the extra jobs to them as they come.

For example, you may be a copywriter who has connected with a client that needs some graphic designs. Since you don’t have the skills to design, sub-contract the job to another virtual assistant who is competent enough to design.

To add to that, you can have more than one client as a virtual assistant, since it’s a remote job that doesn’t require physical meetings with your clients.

Conclusion

There you have it, top 5 reasons to become a virtual assistant.

It is flexible, you can earn a decent living from it, you can offer different services, work with different clients, and begin with the skills you already have.

Virtual assistants are also in high demand, and with the way businesses are being digitized, it looks like the need for virtual assistants will increase in the coming years.

I hope this article was helpful.

Good luck!

Business / Beware Of Stan9 by VAPatrick: 1:34pm On Jul 28, 2020
I wanted to buy a gig on Fiverr, but for reasons I cannot tell, my card was rejected, so I created a thread.

This guy said he could do it for me, and asked me to pay N400 per dollar. I searched online, but didn't find any negative review about him, so I had no doubt in my mind not to trust him.

Being a $12 gig, I made a transfer of N4,800 to his account: Abdulrazaq Yakur 8107405598, EcoBank. I was debited immediately, only for this guy to tell me he hasn't received the money. This was last Thursday, and today is Tuesday. I have made more than 5 transactions since then, and all the beneficiaries of these transactions were credited in less than a minute. I didn't provide proof of payment to this Stan9 guy or any of the others, because I do delete them from my phone for obvious reasons. So Stan9 is capitalizing on that. He claims to have spend N400 calling his bank's customer care on the issue, and they told him the money is not in his account, that it'll be reversed over the weekend.

The money is not in my account, and I am very sure it cannot be hanging in the air. I know my money is gone. It's a small token, and I'll not weep over it. I'm creating this thread to serve as a warning to anyone who wants to transact with this guy in the future.

These are his details:

Name: Abdulrazaq Yakur

Bank Account: 8107405598, EcoBank

SavageResponse:

You should first tell people about what skills you have any experience you have with respect to managing a business.

Where have you worked before?

Who can vouch for your integrity?

Why should people who have never met you before nor done business with you trust you with their money?

What value are you bringing to the table (Not necessarily in form of cash)?

My other account got banned, hence I'm using this. For clarity sake, if we finally agree on this, nobody is contributing a kobo to me. But for knowledge sake, I have an M.Sc. in Bus Admin. I have managed my own very small businesses (Online and brick and mortar businesses). I registered the first CV writing company in Nigeria, CV Wizards. Today, I still operate this business, but in my own name. You can checkout my website, www.patrickokunima.com . This is a faceless forum, but I am not a faceless person. Google Patrick Okunima, that's my name, and to the best of my knowledge, there's no other Patrick Okunima. I'm an old member on this forum. If you don't know me, some other persons do. If I have defrauded anyone on this forum, it's easy to find me out.

That said, I am not soliciting for people to contribute money to me. If we proceed with this, we all we agree on who to hand over the funds to. That person is not me, because I don't like holding other people's money.

By posting with a different account, i am violating the rules of this forum, so I may not respond to comments, until my account, PatrickOkunima is unbanned,

Thanks.
