Soyika was a nonentity who introduced secret cult and ended up having third (3rd) class in the university. The blood he shed during his school days is still hunting him till today. |
Soyika brought campus cultism to our citadels. Its a fact known by all. |
gazilion: Wole Soyinka by not attending Achebe's burial sends a message of dissent. The book "there was a country" definitely has stirred the hornets nest among the Yoruba's. Wole Soyinka is a tribal jingoist, a cultist and a godless man. He failed in his marriage (s) and have just lost the respect I once had for him. You don't go disparaging your colleague on the pages of a newspaper after his death. Age truly is not synonymous with wisdom neither do white hairs breed morality!!The guy is suffering from bitterness that Achebe is known worldwide. But he Soyika is not known outside the borders of yorubaland. And to think that the same Soyika brought campus cultism to Nigeria is disheartening to say the least. While Achebe is busy affecting lives positively all over the world. |
profjustine: IN A STATE LIKE IMO WHERE THE GOVERNMENT AND IT'S OFFICIAL REFUSE TO PUT UP INDUSTRIES, AND CHOOSE TO BE BUILDING HOTELS!WHAT DO YOU XPECT? Answers needed.......That is the point. Let them continue in their usual hell |
We need to condemn this evil act. This is serious..hmmmm. MOD front page please ![]() |
Hugoboi: You smack of double standards. You criticize GEJ yet you praise Rochas even when it is obvious that he is running Imo State into the ground. People like you should never be taken seriously. You rightly criminalise the PDP but can't see that Rochas (who is a PDP man to the core) isn't better. Show me one institution that is working in Imo State. I bet my bottom dollar that you are only gonna mention projects that exist on paper only. I'm from Imo State and I daresay we deserve the kind of leaders we get. With all his "progressiveness" we'l see what becomes of Rochas in 2015. In the meantime, keep your bootlicking to yourself. We know what the deal is.The above are all facts which some people will not like to face. |
They are teenagers, who should be in school. But, for these girls, there is a strange way of earning a living — selling the fruits of their wombs. But the Police in Imo State yesterday announced that the “baby factory” had been smashed — a major breakthrough in their fight against child trafficking. No fewer than 17 expectant teenagers were rescued from an illegal motherless babies home in Umuaka, Njaba Council Area. The Ahamefula Motherless Babies Home is allegedly owned by a middle aged woman simply identified as “Madam One Thousand”. Also rescued from the home after the police raid were 11 minors, who the police said were apparently waiting for prospective buyers. The girls, who are between the ages of 14 and 17, were said to have been impregnated by a 23-year old boy, simply identified as Oyibo. Looking pale and unkept, the girls are at various stages of pregnancy. They wept profusely during their parade at the Command Headquarters in Owerri, the state capital. Speaking during the parade, the Commissioner of Police, Musa Mohammed Katsina, said that the illegal babies home was raided by the Ambush Squad attached to the Command after a tip-off. He said the suspect, who is now at large, was producing pure water in the compound to deceive the public. The CP said when the police invaded the tightly secured compound, “17 pregnant minors were seen holed up in different rooms in the large compound with some of their kids playing around”. Also paraded by the Police was the security man, Mr. Uzoamaka Okoli (55) from Nempi Amafor in Oru West Council Area and Oyibo, 23, who confessed to being responsible for all the pregnancies. http://thenationonlineng.net/new/news/17-teenagers-rescued-in-imo-baby-factory/ |
My question is, when will this okrosha of a man stop jumping like a frog from one party to another. Arewa and yaroba party APC will roast him in 2015, then he will once again reconsider moving..this time to DPP. The man is so unstable to rule any state. Quite a failure |
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has advised Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo to re-think his decision to join the yet to be registered All Progressive Congress (APC). The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Okorocha at a rally in Owerri as part of activities to mark his government’s two years in office, formally declared for the APC. In a statement, Mr Francis Edeh, Senior Media Assistant to APGA National Chairman, Chief Maxi Okwu, stated that Okorocha needed a re-think on joining a yet to be registered party. “Since Okorocha was elected on the platform of APGA in April 2011, the party wishes to advice him to have a re-think on his decision to join APC. “APC is a political association that has not been registered as a political party by INEC and the acronym is being contested by another political association. “APGA gives this timely advice to the governor to save him from becoming a political orphan wandering in political wilderness in Nigeria’s political horizon.” Edeh said that since June 2002 when APGA was registered by INEC, the party had been growing from strength to strength and was currently being repositioned, restructured and re-engineered to be the third leg in Nigeria’s political tripod. “We are confident that the party’s electoral fortune will increase in the 2015 general election just as APGA is the party to beat in the forthcoming Anambra Governorship Election. “APGA wishes to state categorically that it is not in any merger plan with any party or political association as that will negate the vision of the founding fathers.” (NAN) http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/05/apga-urges-gov-okorocha-to-re-think-plans-to-join-apc/ |
manny4life: As much as I do not support Okorocha's move to APC (let imolites decide on that one), why do I believe that Peter Obi is not behind this one?I don't see how that is true. Obi is not a regular Nigerian politician that plays to the gallery. |

Some placard carrying youths who identified themselves as Members of Orlu for Greatness, who said they came from Catholic Diocese of Orlu in Imo State, yesterday carried placards against Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State in Anambra State. Some of the placards read: ‘Gov Rochas do for our bishop what Gov Obi is doing in Anambra State by repairing our schools.’ ‘Gov Rochas, please collaborate with the Church as your brother is doing in Anambra State.’ Another placard reads: ‘Gov Obi, we love you, tells your brother, Rochas to follow your footsteps.’ The protest, stopped by Gov. Obi’s advance team before he got there, took place at Uli Boys Secondary School where Governor Obi presented cheques to the bishop of Orlu Diocese, Most Reverend (Dr) Augustine Ukwuoma for the rebuilding of collapsed school structures. Though Uli is a border town in Anambra State, it falls within the jurisdiction of the Catholic Diocese of Orlu such that the management of mission schools in the town recently returned to the Churches is in the hands of Orlu Diocese. Speaking during the event, Bishop Ukwuoma, accompanied by emeritus Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev Gregory Ochiagha, the traditional ruler of Uli, Igwe Damian Onyekaonwu and other prominent members of the town, thanked the Governor for building a ‘promising future for our children.’ The bishop who traced the decadence in society to government takeover of schools said with the return of these schools, proper training of human beings had begun. He assured that the money will be used judiciously for the purpose it was meant. Gov. Obi also visited Anglican Girls Secondary School Nnewi and Oraifite Grammar School where he gave cheques of twenty million naira to the Anglican Bishop of Nnewi, Most Reverend Professor Godwin Okpala, thus making a total of ninety million naira distributed to schools yesterday. Thanking the Governor for the gesture, Bishop Okpala said in Obi, Anambra State had seen a Governor who understood that governance was about the people, building a better future for them and engaging in those things that will improve their lot in future such as support to education, health and general infrastructure. At Girls Secondary School Ozubulu and Maria Regina Secondary School Nnewi where he presented cheques of thirty million naira to the Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Reverend Hilary Odili Okeke. The Bishop described what is happening in Anambra State as a revolution led by Governor Peter Obi. He said what was of interest to him was that all sectors were being developed simultaneously in faithfulness to ANIDS. He said that with the return of schools to the missions and massive empowerment by the Governor, schools in the state were witnessing ‘massive physical development’ as well as the ‘restructuring of the human person.’ Speaking at all the schools visited, the Governor accompanied by the Commissioner for Education, Dr Uju Okeke and other senior government officials said the cheques being distributed were part of government’s support for the year 2012, announcing that the support for 2013 will start in this first quarter. As part of efforts for the rehabilitation of schools, the Governor said more money will be given this year to upgrade library, sports and laboratory facilities in schools as well as provision of other infrastructure. http://www.anambrastate.gov.ng/news.html |
I need this answers fast!!!! |
My people of NL, please we have been having a heated argument since morning concerning Obi and Okorocha who is wealthier than the other. If you know the answer please support it with the list of the person's corporate establishments and investment. Thank you Note: The assessment must be before they joined politics. |
