South Korea is known for Cars, TVs, Fridges, Electronics, Phones, Steel, Paper, Shipping, Construction and Banking. Anambra should be partnering with them for industrial development. There is INNOSON in autos, there is the Onitsha River Port that needs barges to carry goods up the Niger River, there is the opportunity to build a gas pipeline from Imo to Anambra to feed Onitsha, Nnewi and Awka with dependable industrial power. There is the need to build proper industrial layouts in Anambra not 10x10 stores in markets buying and selling. They need to think outside the box.

ANAMBRA STATE FIRE SERVICE RECRUITMENT

Following the restructuring and repositioning agenda of Anambra state Fire service by His Excellency Chief Willie obiano , he gave a directive to recruit 120 personell to boost the workforce of the fire service.

The recruitment exercise was initiated by a widely publicized notice of recruitment for qualified and fit Anambrarians last year November , a total of 1,050 candidates which comprise of 50 candidates per local government in the state were invited for interview which was held from the 4th of February to 6th of February 2020.

The MD/ CEO Anambra state Fire service Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi Mni rtd addressed the the candidates during the first phase of the interview ( physical fitness test) ,he stressed the efforts of His Excellency Chief Willie obiano to reposition the fire service and notified the candidates to give in their best to serve Anambra state when they are finally recruited into the service.

The Director of Fire Anambra state Fire service Engr.Martins Agbili ( Agility) also lauded the optimism of the candidates to join the fire service and thanked the governor Chief Willie obiano for making the fire service more efficient and effective.

The candidates covered a distance of 3km , and most of the unfit candidates were screened out , the second phase of the interview ( written and oral ) was held at the HQ of the fire service at Agu Awka from the 4th to 6th February.

The panel that carried out the oral interview involves representatives from Anambra state fire service, Head of service , civil service Commission, ministry of public utilities and SSA on fire ( Chief Achebe).

The MD/ CEO Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi Mni rtd applauded all the candidates for been civil and law abiding throughout the recruitment process and reasured them of a transparent and fair recruitment exercise.

Unizik is federal. Most likely the federal government used a qualified contractor to build that federal university. For the states, shortcut is their problem and small man mentality. State roads are supposed to have a design specification for the traffic and loads they carry. For Anambra, Obi built many roads without an adequate design specification. So you have state roads that collapse the minute a Dangote truck or petroleum tanker runs over them. The only decent road he built was the expressway between headbridge and Umunya which was done by CCC. All sorts of heavy duty vehicles run on them and they are still strong. The rest are falling apart less than 15 years after they were built.
