Its a good development for the state to have a court of appeal but a few observations:1) The Court of Appeal is less than 100m from the chaotic Eke Awka market with its smelly dustbin outside. 2) The road leading to the Court of Appeal at peak periods is heavily congested because of the traffic to/from the market and the bottleneck at the junction at Works Road (that leads to the ministry of Works)3) On the bright side the Court of Appeal is less than 5 minutes from the Udoka Housing Estate and 10 minutes from the Ngozika Housing Estate. Its accessibility from the Expressway is excellentI suggest the state government actively address the problem that is Eke Awka by constructing bypasses and phasing it out) Create an access road from the Igwebuike Grammar school cutting through the Stadium to allow traffic to bypass the market ) Create an access road from Court road to the new road through the stadium land to allow traffic to bypass the market Recover the Rd connecting from Court Rd that used to lead to Zik Avenue that has been taken over by street traders and the market.) Begin process of relocating market in phases to more spacious PLANNED lands WITHIN Awka like Ifite or Agu-Awka) Once relocated eventually convert Eke-Awka land to City Hall, Local Government Headquarters, Customary/Local Magistrate Court or other befitting civic institution for the city that will not cause traffic chaos on critical Zik Avenue artery.

Anambra State Government has called for Private Sector partnership towards ensuring uninterrupted power supply in the State.


Governor Willie Obiano made the call during an investment summit at Nnewi.
The Governor represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke who described power as the soul of industrialization, restated the commitment of the present administration towards ensuring steady power supply in Anambra, noting that with the help of private sector, the vision of the government in power sector will easily be actualized.



Also speaking, the Managing Director Century Power Generation limited, Dr Chukwueloka Umeh said the steady power supply is achievable if an agreement would be reached between the government and private sector on the power sector.


Government House Correspondent Emmanuel Okonkwo reports that the event witnessed the presence of top business men, Group Managing Director, Afrinvest West Africa, Ike Chioke, Director, Ford Foundation, West Africa, Mr. Innocent Chukwuma, Managing Director Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chief Uche Nworah, among others.

These are some similar roads done by Obiano . The difference between the one you posted and the one I posted is that mine is yet to be marked. Anambra is among the top best performing states in Nigeria.

That is Kaduna not Sokoto. Sokoto Road Kaduna. The reason Obiano cannot build roads like this is because his Works Ministry deals with poor quality contractors like IDC. That road was upgraded by the Chinese Construction giant CCEC with proper design, pavement and marking.
