Greatihex: 1. You are looking at it from the goals and assists alone glass. 2. The bold makes your argument null and void. If we had a reasonable striker and another reasonable creative player, we would have scored more goals, and the other player would have gotten more assists then hazard goals and assists wouldn't have contributed to almost 50% of our goals.
Then maybe we have been fighting for the league. IFBut then again, did we? NO. He shouldered almost half of the team's responsibility more than he has all his Chelsea career. You say goals and assists aren't the only criteria, then again, he has the most MOTM, most dribbles completed, 2nd most chances created. What do you want him to do, keep most clean sheet and win most tackles? This season he's made the most output in a Chelsea shirt, not even up for arguments. |

Let me chip into this Greatihex
The year Hazard won PFA, he recorded 14 goals and 9 assists.
That season, Chelsea scored a total of 73 goals in the Pl.
Cesc recorded a total of 18 assists.
Costa scored 20 goals in that season.
Now compare it to this season. Out of 63 we scored, Hazard has been involved in almost 50%.
No other player has a double figure. Not in goals, not in assists.
So this is unarguably his best season in a Chelsea shirt. |

Eruditor: This right here is my issue with superficial thinkers. You have one idea and refuse to read the simple statements people are making.
Liverpool had to beat Porto as that game was home. That is where you sink your teeth. That is the game they must prioritise. If Pep was home, he would have done same. He was not. He looked at his fixtures and felt, with this line up, I still think I can get a good result. That is all he tried to do. As he lost by 1-0 did he lose points to Liverpool? No. As he lost is the tie effectively over? Only a fool will say so. His gamble did not exactly pay off but it did not entirely fail. Tottenham have lost Harry Kane yet they are chasing top 4. If Poch had a choice, he would lose Son not Harry. If you want to talk about Pep failing or losing, why don't you wait till that actually happens. LOL Bleh Bleh Bleh

LOL All he does is gamble on Tuesday nights to be called a tactician while shooting himself in the foot Wasn't it the same way he took Kolarov and played him at CB which resulted in Monaco knocking citizens out? He was prioritizing? Or the same way he benched Muller in the semi against Athletico who had almost 30 goals that season and Munich ended up crashing out? He was prioritizing? How does Kane getting injured be a masterclass for Pep? Players get injured all the time, it's football. He lost this one. Don't be salty man. |

This is getting stale.
Pep lost fair and square, what's so hard to admit?
All that talk about Pep purposely losing or prioritizing is BS. Didn't Liverpool field their first team when they even have a tougher match coming up?
Didn't the same Guendogan and Fernandinho start together against Chelsea in the 6-0 trashing?
Y'all were hailing him for his masterclass for Fielding two holding midfielders but won't acknowledge he lost this one. |

olabode89: How on earth did you try to counter the fact that no ambitious youth player should remain at Chelsea with Chelsea winning more trophies than any team in England in the past 10 years? Oh God!
Based on your points, Jadon Sancho should have stayed back at City, where he will most likely play the last 15 mins of odd games against relegation threatened teams and couple of cup games, right? Read it again. Slowly. Man city have Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Sane, De bruyne, Silva. These players are all committed to the club for at least the next 4 years. Its not the same at Chelsea. The only real competition he'll have if hazard leaves is pulisic. I bet you never knew Sancho at city. CHO has appeared more times than he did at city. Dortmund are known for grooming youngsters, what exactly does Bayern do? |

afrodoc2: No ambitious youth team player will want to stay at Shesi. Very poor record of bringing youth team players through.
Your youth team dominated for so many years and the management still felt they were not good enough to play for the first team.
With Hazard, Willian and Pedro the boy hardly sees minutes and you guys just went and bought another young winger for 50m. He would be a fool to stay. Chelsea has won more trophies than any English team in the last 10 years. if that isn't ambition then I wonder what is? The boy is just causing mutiny in the youth ranks. Let him ask himself how many 18 year olds in English top teams are playing every match? He has potentials no doubt but he's acting as if he would win Balloon D'or next summer. CFC has already proposed to increase his salary from over 20k to 80k. He's been promised of game time. Willian and Hazard's future are bleak. One or both of em will definitely leave. Bayern have way more younger players in the same position and defo would buy more. Sarri gave Ruben game time and guidance, he grabbed it with both hands. Ethan Ampadu is in Welsh national team, you don't hear him whining about game time at Chelsea. We've lost more experienced and proven players. Why the kid thinks he'd be the end of Chelsea, I dunno. If he keeps being stubborn, we should just cash in on him. |
