POKUASI2: the road in question is so bad that trucks are falling on it. From shama to Agona nkwanta is one of the worst roads there is on earth. That is the road I see 18 wheeler tiger trucks falling.
it so terrible just like you have it within mile 2 to badagry in Nigeria . But you stupidly don't have a problem for that .
Your concern is just that Ghana must be perfect while Nigeria can harbour her imperfections as it pleases .
We all know which country has the worse road , unless you only want to be stupid for no reason.
popizaino: I am talking about the Agona in western region not Agona swedru. That stretch is worse than Seme to badagry, for a country like Ghana 🇬🇭 that champions herself has been better than every other country on the continent with high HDI shouldn't be having one of her major national road in that deplorable state. The stretch is barely 18km and spend nothing less than an hour trying to navigate it. Ghana 🇬🇭 can do better.
but lagos from mile 2 ,okokomaiko down to badagry can be bad and be in a deplorable condition for the giant of africa but Ghana shouldn't have is own road as bad as that . Dey play
Even on that road , Takoradi is facing a rapid development . The fly over constructed on that line is way bigger than any road flyover in Abidjan
popizaino: Is there any plans of repairing the cape coast to Takroadi to Agona Road? That Road is one of the most terrible portion of Lagos - Abidjan corridor.
winneba to cape coast road is in a very good condition , the only issue here is the agona to winneba and probably from cape coast to Takoradi which is not as bad as sweedro to winneba. . Lagos to seme which is also part of the road is also one kind of terrible .
GeneralDae: For now it's mainly because speculators are scared and selling because CBN cleared some backlogs yesterday.
But by the end of this month and in December, CBN would pump in some dollars into the market and probably set some new rules as well. It may fall further to that 650-700 naira rate at both parallel and official market and this is what the minister of finance believes is the true value currently.
Dollar is also losing steam today for the first time in 6 weeks due to a pause in rate hikes by the U.S central bank but still the previous hike of the naira was mainly due to speculation and hoarding.
ironically , 10 cedis is about 1000 naira and some coins . I actually don't believe naira is gaining any weight , it is rather the opposite.
1000 cedis was exchange for 100,000 naira note of recent the true value of the naira note is within the black market force and note the banking institution.
popizaino: How I wished you asked me this when i was frequently visiting the French embassy at cantonment last year i could have provided you with more than you expected.
lol...the french embassy share the same fence with a house i normally visit . That area also house the American embassy , they all all in the same axis . Tell me where we can see dust there and the open gutter . Just tell me
Jamestown123: Who told you Banana island is part of lekki? Banana island is part of ikoyi. Ikoyi VI only beat abuja with tall buildings, if not, nothing more. Lekki is even child's play to jabi.
ProblemChild1: How would you compare that tiny Banana Island with wuse 2. Do you know what Is Wuse 2. Wuse has different Zones. From Zone 1 To 11. How is Banana Island more beautiful than Wuse 2. Is it the road network, the greenery, the cleanest of the environment, the housings.
This is Wuse 2 Hope you will watch the videos. There's no where in the entire West Africa than be like this. Just watch
This is APO. Another Neighborhood in Abuja. Show me any Neighborhood in the entire West Africa than can beat this Neighborhood. This is A defination of a European Neighborhood standard. You Can see how clean and serene the Neighborhood is. See the greenery and the beautiful Houses. I dare you to show me any Neighborhood in the Entire West Africa than can beat this. Abuja no be una mate. I no know wetin una dey smoke for that una country wey eye dey pain una To See.
GeneralDae: Wuse 2 is a commercial area of Abuja not the most beautiful part. Maitama and Asokoro are the top places in Abuja with top estates.
Wuse 2 owns the top ambassadorial area with well developed planning in Abuja . It is actually the most beautiful part of Abuja including asokoro too. Banana island is part close victoria island where ambassadorial area too are located .so it can be compared
GeneralDae: To me, Abuja is more beautiful than Lagos. I don't know what eyes you guys see these things with.
Abuja is not more beautiful than lagos , infact when you compare the beauty of both sides , lagos matched out Abuja ,just look at banana island compare to wuse 2, the most part of Abuja
popizaino: After hyping East legon online as the next thing after slice bread, you decided to check online only for you to be welcomed by this gory sights of kiosks, containers and dusty looking streets like other parts of Accra.
samorobo: You go explain, explain taya. Develop your cities so you don’t have to shalaye too much.
by a simple logic, nearly all big men in Nigeria owns house in accra . There is reason for that. They will not be coming here if Ghana is not developed.
Infact , nearly all your top grade A musician have their own house here.
You don't buy house in a country that is not developed as a foreigner. It doesn't correlate with sense
popizaino: I am responsible for only what i write and not how you choose to understand it. That's been said, cities are characterised by certain peculiar features and one of them is having a designated with CBD with closely packed buildings which differentiate it from other form of settlement.Unlike in the village when you are afford the luxury of having just a building and fallow expands of lands before the next building like you see in Accra CBD. Cities are also characterised by having physically imposing buildings which Accra is somehow lacking. Cities are also characterised by having a designated section where petty trading is absent, but that has never been the case with Accra as people set up temporary structures everywhere just to eke a living. I hope this simple point of mine convince you and not confuse you.
By your imposed definition of what a city should be then lagos does not befit such standard.
1) there are self imposed container structure in lagos , it is so visible even in the motor pack.
) So many part of lagos lacks standard. Bushes in the middle of road . Etc
The definition of a city is the people in it . The less dense the less the need of high rise building.
