the best university in the world is a private school. Harvard university. private universities main aim is to reduce unemployment rate to zero percent. almost every graduate of private universities get something doing within two years after their graduation. there is a solid ground to connect with private companies or recruitement centers in private school than public uni
however public school too will also equip you for an independent life. a life where you have to fend for yourself. ability to easily mingle with strangers .most importantly a brave mind due to many experience on campus. |

NaijaAccountant: ICAN does not have an exam centre in Germany. The only foreign centre they have is in London. And I don't think it's cost effective flying from Germany to London for a 2days exam!
But you can be studying ahead and anytime you come to Nigeria you can sit for the exam either in May or Nov. am grateful |

NaijaAccountant: Yes it is possible. Concerning the Advance excel. It depends on the position you are applying for. For example if you are in the Asset or risk management dept , then your advance skills in excel will be very handy in carrying out your Risk and Credit analysis esp performing loans, NPL. Also, as an Accountant having advanced skills in excel is vital because we need those skills when preparing our reports and forecast. Hence, we should not just relax on only our sage , tally etc expertise. thanks alot: am in germany: i will like to do it here and most importantly in english: any guideline? |
Education › Re: How to Become a Chartered Accountant (Concluding Part) by vaxx: 1:51pm On Apr 21, 2017 |
NaijaAccountant: ACCA and ICAN but have there own unique benefits. To assess these benefits you need to provide answers to these two salient questions: 1. Do I want to practice here in Nigeria? (i.e Intention to go into private practice as an auditor) 2. Do I have intention of relocating out of Nigeria?
Benefits of ICAN: 1. It gives you an in-depth understanding of the Nigerian Economy most especially Nigerian Tax Law and Public Sector Accounting. But ACCA Taxation is more tilted towards U.K tax system. 2. With ICAN you can practice as an Auditor, Consultant etc. Only ICAN and ANAN members are permitted by law to certify companies financials. 3. ICAN is much more cheaper compare to ACCA.
Benefits of ACCA 1. Globally recognized. 2.Four Diets Every year compare to ICAN'S two Diets annually. 3. Availability of alot of resource materials. As an ICAN student it is always advisable to go through ACCA packs when preparing for your exams most especially MGE, Case Study. **Note** Concerning the global recognition, ICAN members can comfortably practice abroad with little supervision because IFRS has eliminated the difficulty hitherto inherent in the transferring of Accountants across the world by their parent companies or subsidiaries. good . but the second question is yet to be answer. am not in nigeria though i have the mind of coming back to nigeria to work. i will like to take ican. is it possible. |

smile4kenn: Traditional African religions are still alive and well in Africa, says a survey done by the American research organisation, Pew Research Center.
They say that although most Africans identify themselves as either Christian or Muslim, they continue to practice elements of traditional African religions in their daily lives.
Do African traditional religions still have a place today? Do you believe in traditional faiths? Should we do more to teach and preserve them along side Christianity and Islam or simply abandon them?
Yes, definitely, Africa should retain these traditional religions.
It's a shame what is happening to western culture, as we begin to loose our religions to a 'secular materialism'. More than ever we are trying to satisfy ourselves through consumption and greed, which will always fails to provide us with real happiness. It bothers me that we live in such a superficial world now. We have lost our sense of self-reflection, spirituality, and meaning; the philosopher in us has died. am a proud traditionalist. a yoruba by tribe , an ifa adherent. wole soyinka is adherent to ogun while fela before his death was also adherent to ogun too. all this gods are subject of olodumare. the most supreme. pls he is diffrent from chtistain god who only answer prayer until you fast or pray. the christain god too also did not forgive satan its major rival for more than a century year he created this earth. what a god. i belife the gods are wise. |

Well, is it possible one could study masters abroad, Canada, Germany, Russia etcetera using a post-graduate diploma certificate alongside a 3rd class first degree certificate? yes it is possible. especially if you have a good grade with your postgraduate transcript. try less popular uni instead of the ones with big name. you may also enroll for level 7 ncc education program. it is a 9 month course. you can directly use it with your third class degree in more than 20 universities in the uk |

Halifaxguy: I am not here to start proving to you if I studied or lived in Canada. Well if you care to know, I am a PR holder of Canada. I live and work in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I don't know if your daft or u just want to argue unnecessarily. I did not undergo an evaluation test. Evaluation test for what? What universities are primarily concerned are the grades u have in your ssce result. Universities in Abroad don't care whether u have Neco or Waec result. During the admission process they look out for grades in your result. For instance, someone with high grades in Neco will be first consider for admission to someone with lesser grade in Waec and vice versa. A lot of peeps are studying in various universities across the globe with their Neco, some even to masters level or PhD. You can't be in 9ja and writes things u don't know about. Y not make a call to any university abroad and inquire from them directly. For peeps that have Neco, feel free to apply for any university of your choice in abroad. Schools here gives everyone a level playing field regardless of whatever ssce result u have. to reply you is waste of time but i will still do it. my purporse of this thread is not to showcase where i am presntly or proud over what some people find it hard to get. am not in nigeria for your information . am presently in the state of bavaria . erding province(germany)i repeat i do not say neco is not accepted. i only mentined that holding waec is better of than neco becuse it has international presence. i have given you a work to do. why did university of ghana refuse to accept neco result within the last 10years or more of neco existence. university are very much intrested in the body that award your qualification. SAT is a known body in the usa likewise weac in w africa. why do you think people are enrolling their ward for cambridge exams? |

Halifaxguy: Please stop this misconception about Neco result. Neco is widely accepted in abroad. I am a graduate of university of Manitoba, and I was offered admission with my Neco result. To the best of my knowledge, Neco is accepted in all Canadian universities and colleges. I also used the same result to gained admissions in two universities in Canada ( University of Calgary and Memorial University of Newfoundland). I have lots of folks schooling in some universities in the US, who used their Neco results to gained admission. And for your information, I was not subjected to another evaluation test as u claimed. I just want to clear this misconception, before lots of folks will be misled. Both Neco and Waec is recognized and accepted in abroad. Shikena! please do note. this thread was not created to misled candidate holding neco result as you claimed. and i have never in my post indicate neco result is not accepted. i only emphasised on the use of waec result becuse it has much international presence than that of neco university of ghana started accepting neco result just last three years. if you doubt me contact the school and ask why the school refused to honour your neco result last three years. please tell every one here how you were made to forcefully undergo a foundation program before you were finally selected that is if you actually study there as you caim .waec is both by ghanian ,liberians ,gambia and student from SARO |

I just need experienced or knowledgeable peeps to help me out here i will advice you to consider programs that are similar to medicine like any paramedical degree . apply for a similar degree instead of seeking to study medicine in usa or uk for the first time. uk or usa are very selective when it comes to medicine your para medical degree can help fercilitate an easy access to school of medicine becuse most school expecially in the UK might not accept you directly for their medicne programs. a para medical degree can give you a upper hand。 with a para medical degree you,are likely to start from year 3 and the same time give you a lot of experience |
