Truth of the matter is, the only reason these foreign social media platforms allow Nigeria on their apps is to show that they are not racist. They can comfortably do away with Africa as a whole.

Do you know how much Americans loose yearly to Nigerian fraudsters? Simply because they allow Africans.

How much do they gain compared to how much they loose?

When manufacturers around the world produce cars, they make different specs for America, Europe etc. Have you ever heard of African spec in a car?

They dont put Africa into consideration when building anything.

Even after giving you independence, you still loot your funds and send it back to them.

Buhari's children studied abroad, he and his family are treated abroad.

Even the oil, they drill, refine and sell back to you.

The ones that do fraud, will still spend the money on designer clothing and cars, creating more jobs for the same people they defrauded.

They will still come back to pay for your malaria drugs and HIV medications.

Go and eat healthy food first before coming to analyse twitter profits .

They don't need you.
When hate forms the basis of your logic everything goes side ways.

Even economic illiterate knows social media companies growths lies in the developing world. They require new markets to sustain their growth it face stagnation then death.

Even if the US had 2 billion shootings, etc. One fact is that the US listens to the cry of its people. Not like Nigeria that is sympathetic to herdsmen attack.

2. The US will not allow a takeover of territory of Boko haram. They will go in and neutralize the terrorist silently without bombing civilians. Nigeria is fund of accidental release of bomb. The other time it was IDP camp. Recently it is wedding ceremony.

US will not shift blame to previous administration for its own errors

US will not make policies that will cripple the development of its people.

US will not hold people by force against their will. They will never tell you you must be a us citizens by force.

The fact that ISWAP overpowered Boko Haram in a single day without air strike is a MIGHTY disgrace to the Nigerian Armed force. A feat that the armed forces could not do for years with jets. It exposes the UNWILLINGNESS of the armed force's to protecting the territory of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Only a slave like you cares about some unknown private entity in the US creating some stupid list based on their fake, biased criteria.

Look at America. They've had 8,000 gun deaths this year so far.

Annual rate is around 40,000 a year.

That's like 50 Boko Harams operating at once!

The US has had an incredible 270 mass shootings so far this year:

https://edition.cnn.com/2021/06/12/us/us-mass-shootings/index.html

Police brutality, institutional racism, mass shootings, drug-fuelled gang violence, an Opioid overdose casualty rate of 70,000 per annum.

Oh, and they also invade more nations, export more weapons, and build more nuclear weapons than any other nation, hastening the demise of humanity.

But I'm sure they rank really high on the list of ''best governed countries''.

Rubbish.

Diversified to what ? agriculture ? The herdsmen issue put paid to that claim. The border wasn't closed to encourage local rice production, it was closed to stiffle imports through the very cheaper Benin ports-same reason Nigeria refuses to endorse the African free trade pact.Yes local rice is being produced massively today, but it started even before Buhari came to power- the construction of grain reserves in zones across the country and mechanization. Today a bag of rice has gone up to 200 % from 2014-and being the most staple food in Nigeria,it's causing unbridled hardeship and hunger.- China is the world's biggest producer of rice, but the are also the world's biggest importer of rice.

The FIRS is responsible for tax remission for Nigeria. Its a federal body that collects all the taxes due for the Federal government, and issues tax identification number. Since 2015,there have been an aggressive collection of taxes, you can hardly do business without TIN today etc.Thebstate government gets most of their taxes from road taxes and Infrastructureal taxes and other levies to big business and few other things like market taxes. The federal government is solely in charge of personal income tax, taxes accrued from Sea and airports, taxes from the profits of industries in Nigeria - so how exactly is the state government stealing taxes meant for the Federal government ?

Lagos will carry 51% of VAT (collected by the federal government) because it's the point of origin of most imported goods coming into Nigeria, most industries in Nigeria have there headquarters in lagos and also because its Nigerias manufacturing and economic hub.

You better pay heed to your own advice

You shouldn't think I have time for your ill informed rubbish, you obviously have not heard of Joint Tax Board or Multiple Taxation. You don't know jack about the tax laws but you must bring your bitter logic to a sane discussion.

Economy is not being diversified

Our budget is still done with an eye to.oil prices, and we still heavily rely on oil revenue

And our tax revenue nationwide is still too low.

Lagos inclusive.
Then you not being truthful. Most of the budget funding comes from taxes. The economy is being diversified it is our foreign exchange that requires diversification out non oil export over the period has increased.
Conversations only have meaning if the parties are truthful, Lagos is doing the country proud in the area of tax collection, it has steadily increase its collection rate thus boosting it's IGR making it the undisputed leader. You are bent on denying obvious truths that is happening across.

Analyze the budget about 50

Well you APC protesting forced GEJ to contimue the wasteage and to continue the enriching by opposing subsidy removal in the first place.
Yes, because rather than hold his cronies to account he pushed the burden to the Nigerian people.

PMB removed subsidy and people accepted it. He reintroduced it back because the economic conditions are not just suitable for an increase in fuel. The pressure on the masses are a serious concern.
PoliticsRe: ₦720 Billion Subsidy Burden Presses Harder As Oil Price Sustains Rally by vedaxcool(m): 6:06am On Jun 14, 2021
Beancounter93:
Our debt is rising because the oil price is not high enough for a nation our size. And also because of rising subsidy costs

That is why i would have expected this apc governemt to diversify the economy and widen the tax base and increase the tax to.gdp ratio so that we can get other sources of revenue apart from oil to fund the subsidy

Things they.have not done
Lol the economy is being diversified but it requires commitment from everybody. When the borders sure closed to support the production of rice, many people kept railing against the closure. Despite their railing, Nigeria emerge the largest Rice producer in Africa. You might think governance is a switch but it is a process with many moving parts.

State governors are also responsible for collection of taxes they have either failed to improve their capacity of have become thieves stealing the taxes.

Lagos carries 51% of VAT tax collection, indicating that significantly there is a problem on state level, it is not APC guys doing stuff it is government functioning well at all levels.

We should always comment from an informed position, not trivialising issues.

Lol keep comparing apples and oranges. Let's pretend that the same individual who oversaw the wanton abuse of the scheme which he deliberately used to enrich his cronies. If there was ever a time subsidy is needed it is now; prices of the products are quite exorbitant.

As much as I will agree that people are politicising the issue, Buhari's stance is unacceptable and biased.
What on earth does he mean with grazing route?
Who will give his own land up for grazing route?
His posture is so bad and unfortunate.
The right thing to do is evacuate herdsmen from any community that doesn't want them in the southern part. He should create ranch for them in the North.
The best thing he can do for Fulanis is to put them on the line of modern day animal husbandry. Create ranches in the North, the South has had enough of human loses because of cows .
Needless deaths everywhere.
The grazing routes have always been with us since colonial times, that is the point he was making. Due to population increase the increase in food meant more land where cattle pass through when encroached upon by farmers thus the conflict we are witnessing.

The issue of ranching is the only solution that will douse tension and significantly reduce any conflict we are experiencing.

However the Constitution gave the power of allocating land for the purpose of ranching to state governors.

Jonathan have some billions for ranching I think 100B this was looted.

Then PMB admin came up with NLTP National Livestock Transformation Plan, people termed it an attempt to grab land for Fulanis. This will make implementation very difficult.

For some reason there are politicians who think conflict serves their interest and to this end they keep derailing the plan.

States owe it to locals who are into the trade to set up ranches but they have v chosen politics over development.
