You talk about soliciting arms. That is not illegal, the firearms act of Nigeria even allows adults to hold certain types of guns such as double barrel guns, under license. The solicitation its self is not a crime, what is is a crime is what you do with the guns solicited.

All over the world, the threat of violence must go beyond words. You don't start rolling out the Army and attacking people because someone talked. We all have right of free speech and if anyone makes verbal threat, the Police should investigate and charge where appropriate. But to say that people should be attacked for talking is nonsense.The Army was not created to go after people for talking.

Beyond Nnamdi Kanu talking, what credible proof was there that the public was in danger from IPOB? None

Was there any violence IPOB perpetrated to warrant military deployment? None

Has the military got any constitutional right to fight crime in Nigeria? They don't, thats the job of the Police. There is nothing like 'routine military exercise' in populated civilian area. In civilised countries, the only time you see the military come out of their Barak is if there is war. The job of fighting crime and maintaining law and order is the job of the Police. Operation Python dance was illegal.

As for this story that IPOB blocked the road to the Army and attacked the Army with sticks stones, only a foolish person will believe it.

What the Army wants us all to believe is that they were passing by, heavily armed with machine guns and Tanks, but unarmed IPOB decided to block the road and attack heavily armed Soldiers with sticks and stones?

I am a contract staff of one of the big Nigerian banks and I can authoritatively tell you that the banking industry should be the last option for the youths. Both core and contract staff suffer the same fate. A place where people work in fear. Jobs can be terminated any time any day. I thank God I now have other sources of income at least. Sometimes I regret ever making that decision to join the banking industry. I could have followed and pursued my dream of becoming a musician. At a tender age I was able to set up a website where I promoted my music works. Had a music group "BK7" then in my secondary school, also, wrote songs, very good ones, but all these died when I got and celebrated my contract job with the bank. I wish to leave but don't know how. I had told myself I wouldn't work more than 2yrs but guess what, it is my 5th YR. YOUTHs be warned, parents be warned also. God bless us.
