You forgot to add that DangSugar rise from #15 to #89 and now heading back to base

What was the percentage of inflation and cost of commodities in the market then and now?

No stock would easily go back to their price then, unless there's a general market crash

Thank God you agreed what Alhaji and his companies did is an insult to the public investors which if we translate it the religion you preach is a sin.

What is the difference between fornication, drunkenness etc and what Alhaji did since you are defending?

Simply because you own a share and don't want the share price to plumet.
The reward for sin is death.
Dangote sugar and Nascon must be punished in share price because of the offensive odour they caused.

I'm not in support of what he did, but for the sake of the public's funds that crashed from N89 to N48 now, ...

Yes the volume has been poor now due to the insult grin But remember, alhaji has the major portion of those 2 company's shares, hence he no go gree wetin no good happen to them.

The fact that dangsugar has not issued any statement yet, might imply that there might be further developments or discussions.

I concur with you.

BTW, some people are still buying, despite what has happened. Watch out when big buyers start buying and cancel your sell orders. Cause something positive may be cooking

Salt will likely pay too...
Why I said this was because of the closed period declared by NASCON in December.......
Also, Q3 was released, so the FYE cycle was completed.
Let's wait for actions and updates from them anyway.

NASCON
So far, there's no published newsletter on NGX for Board Meeting....
Can we say there won't be any more Board Meeting from NASCON, and that, the final dividend from NASCON will come from DANGFOODS as Interim Div.....together with that of DANGSUGAR?
Let's be watching sha....
The Board Meeting of Sugar will throw more light on this.
Just thinking out loud ni o. smiley
From the price gap between salt and sugar and what my mind is telling me, ... it's like only sugar will pay dividend this year.

People might be looking at time factor.
DS shareholders will have their share automatically converted to DF while those in NASCON might have to wait for theirs to be listed which might take some time.
I don't think so, I think the 3 of them (rice, sugar and salt) would be listed as dangfood in a day. ... let me be corrected if am wrong pls

DANGFOODS
- We'd expected that Alhaji will use this for the Forbes list but he used DANGCEM instead...
- Now that SUGAR/SALT didn't submit UNAUDITED Report to NGX by 31st January......
- We may be looking at the 60 days window through which AUDITED should be submitted.......failure of which may attract sanction/fine.
- We'll be looking forward to end of February again for the reports or merger update, whatever be the case.
- Fingers crossed
Looking at today's price, salt is seriously lagging behind. Am begining to think there's something we do not know

ndept:
Banking stocks are the ones dictating the movement of other stocks in NGX for sometime now. If banking stocks go higher, other stocks follow the trend and vice versa. I doubt if it is the works of market makers. It is just the psychology of investors pricing NASCON parri-passu with DangSugar.
You didn't understand me. What I mean is that comparing today's salt price with that of sugar, buying nascon instead dangsugar would give you more units of dangfood after the merger. I wonder why MKT makers allowed it so
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by veecovee: 1:37pm On Feb 05
With the current mkt price difference, Is it bad to sell all my sugar and go for salt, or is there something we do not know?

Interesting to note that DangSugar is being used as the benchmark to price NASCON. Another angle to it is that DangSugar may not pay any dividend for the year, while NASCON may pay around N2 as dividend.
Knowing all these, don't you think that MKT makers are having some skeleton in their cupboard, otherwise, why should they allow nascon's current price look more attractive in respect to the upcoming merger

They should have used this bull period to usher in their listing price. I thought DS would have gotten to #100 before retracting. Just look at Buafoods firing from all cylinders, e pain shaa cry cry cry
BTW even without the merger, NASCON and sugar as stocks of the richest African, suppose be ashamed of themselves. Can you imagine how many stocks that has done over 1000% price appreciation?

Check it out tomorrow morning at 3.60 to 3.90 b4 it enters #4+ full bid.
