I started ghostwriting early, but I didn't know its name then. In high school, I did assignments for my rich classmates. Some of them paid me in cash, others in kind.

In the university, I continued writing for classmates & other students who found their term papers hard. In my final year in the university, I wrote theses for 5 of my classmates.

But even at that time, I didn't think ghostwriting was lucrative. So, I started looking for jobs.

My experience with job search was terrible. The highest job I ever got was $100. Teaching in a private high school. I did the job until COVID-19 struck. And the school stopped paying me.

Hunger & lack made me start thinking of what else to do. At a point, I remember I made some money years back, just writing. 'I can make millions from writing', I discovered. That was how I went into full-time ghostwriting. True to my decisions, I have made at least 1 million in my country's currency.

If you're not happy with your career or it doesn't give financial independence, check whether you can identify & monetize your gifts.

Don't make your job appear simpler to your clients.

° Do your know why doctors write what their patients can't read when they prescribe drugs?

•And why do lawyers always use Latin expressions you find hard to understand?

This is the logic: If they make those things simpler to their clients, they lose value.

As a ghostwriter, I don't make my job simpler to clients. I make them understand that my job is hard & professional; so, they have to pay me well.

This is the only age where we don't have excuses.

1. You don't have money to acquire skills? YouTube is there.

2. You don't have enough time to read great books? Download the audio versions.

3. And if you have ideas to write, but you don't have time to write them or you don't know how to write them, hire a ghostwriter.

Me: I feel motivated to work hard, so that what is happening to me now in Nigeria will not happen to my children.

Me too. The ASUU strike is affecting my business as a project writer.

Most of our problems come from how we condition our body & mind.

My story:

I'm a freelance writer. I write projects for students, create content for online businesses, write e-books, books, articles, etc., for clients.

Honestly, I constantly have jobs.

In order to satisfy my numerous clients & make more money, I started drinking coffee in excess. But each time I couldn't take coffee, I took energy drinks. I have done this for 4 years.

Unfortunately, I started having problems with my eyes. I associated the problems with constant writing & focusing my eyes on PC.

I have been going to eye clinic for two years now. Different drugs prescribed & taken. Up to 3 glasses prescribed & used.

In the last appointment with my optometrist, he told me my eye pressure was very high. He prescribed drugs for me & asked me to come back in a months time.

But when I went back home, I started Googling factors that increase eye pressure. And one of them is excess consumption of caffeine. I now remember that coffee & the brands of energy drink I took have high caffeine amount.

You see how I conditioned my mind & body for destruction for years? I conditioned my mind & body to believe that taking coffee & the energy drinks will make me work long hours. But that's not true! I still work long hours now, even though I have stopped drinking them.

I believe you have some challenges in life. But remember, you might be the cause of some of them. So, it's good for you to check whether some of the challenges you have now are caused by how you have conditioned your mind & body.
