The only challenge now is no one knows when rates will drop and what it will drop to. Certainty aids financial planning. I don’t think we will ever see rates peak this high again after this bubble. We can only hope CBN will maintain this high MPR….
Rate will surely drop i don't think CBN can afford the interest its paying on its debt much longer.

Dollar funds are in the medium-risk investment category. The capital invested is not guaranteed compared to MMF.
The reason is that the underlying asset of the dollar fund is eurobonds which have some form of volatility - it's price dependent ie the price can go up or otherwise hence the value of your investment fluctuates with the price movement, hence professionally it's advised for investors wishing to invest in dollar fund to think long term because at the long run, you are sure to have hedge your funds against inflation or devaluation of local currency and in the process gain some interest on the fund invested.

Please note that it's not volatile like stocks so the probability of losing your money is close to zero.

Be in touch if you need more clarity.

This is not a Dollar fund. It's a placement where both the capital and interest are guaranteed.

Alternatively, you can do a dollar fund with Norrenberger, the minimum is $550
Wait oo.

So the money isn't 100% sure like MMF.
What you are saying is. If I invest $3000 there is a possibility that in 30days the money might drop to $2700 and interest is not guarantee.

@vefexam You can do dollar fund. My preference is Norrenberger Dollar fund. Here are the details of the fund.

Norrenberger Dollar Fund Details.

The Norrenberger US Dollar Fund: This is a collective investment scheme, registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The objective of the Fund is to hedge against currency risk while providing liquidity and competitive returns to investors. The Fund is targeted at Retail Investors, High Net-worth Individuals, Africans in the diaspora, Local and Foreign Institutional Investors seeking Dollar dominated investments. The Fund invests in Sovereign & Corporate Eurobonds and dollar denominated money market instruments.
Features:
• Return on investment is competitive and tax-free.
• The Fund is open-ended and constituted under a Trust Deed.
• Quarterly dividend payment or reinvestment.
• Redemption of units within the first 90-day period attracts a 20% penalty charge on accrued return.
• Redemption is processed within 5 working days.
• Online access is available to monitor fund performance.
• Diversified portfolio in dollar-denominated instruments.
• Minimum subscription is 5 units and subsequent addition of 1 unit at the prevailing price per unit.
• Purchase price is $103.52, yield of 10.57% as of 8th May 2024.

Please let me know when you are ready. You can call/chat me up with details on my signature.
That means I cannot redraw the funds for at least 3 months else I will pay 20% of the interest accrued in the principal.

Also explain more of this," Purchase price is $103.52, yield of 10.57% " does it mean whatever I invest will be divided by 103.52 to get how many unit I own?
And I make 10.57% of that per month or annum?

Thanks, as a young guy Omo I can't make the mistake my parents made.

I was just looking at my pension statement of account today lol.

The reason I choose MM was because of liquidity cos the money I am investing is both my emergency funds and savings, I will only have a little cash for day to day expenses.

Also I will send the questions over to MM for more answers.

Here is my preference as per mutual funds:
MMF - Stanbic MMF curreently 11.73%
Dollar fund - Norrenbeger currently 9.2% (They accept less than $1000 and could accept cash at the point of deposit)
Fixed income fund - SFS Capital currently 11.02%
I really appreciate, thanks.

Thank you so much for your response.

For the second paragraph, I don’t use a dom account to receive payment…does it also apply to platforms like Grey?
What or how does the company do payments or you can talk to the accountants in which method they will use in paying you
Programming › Re: Do You Pay Tax As A Remote Worker? by vefexam: 9:40pm On Apr 06, 2023
If you are an independent contractor, then you do not need to pay tax (except income tax).

When it comes to invoices, very simple go online and look for a invoice template and customize it to you liking. If you are paid hourly put how many hours you work and your rate, routing number, back account number etc and you are good to go.

If you plan to japa to EU countries (North Europe) and sponsor yourself make sure your invoice tallies with your transaction history - it makes it less stressfully and easier.

Note: If you will be going for normal AC, you ate better off with non-hybrid inverter with separate CC.
Can you please explain this part
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by vefexam: 3:28pm On Mar 09, 2023
TechGeek777:
The first inverter AC will consume 1321W initially before dropping to 824W when good cooling level is reached, while the second non-inverter AC will maintain 1200W or more irrespective of the cooling level attained

How many hp are these ACs?
oh! thanks. For the inverter AC is there any timing in seconds before it will drop to 824W.
These are 1hp AC.
