Thanks my dear.I work with a government hospital and in Obygny unit.it will be difficult getting another leave but am trusting God sha.how is ur workshift like over there

Thanks my dear, for your concern.I am trying to see if I can get another one month leave from my hospital cos I used my leave to write the exams.I am applying online for now but if I don't get, I would have to resign.

I've never liked the idea of living in Abu Dhabi. It always seems so boring to me whenever I visit. Transportation will definitely be more expensive due to the lack of metro and I don't know how their bus system works. Sorry cant be of much help to you in this area.

@veleta, how is your job search coming on? A friend of mine also recently passed the dha and is job searching. Have you started making plans to come to Dubai ?

Every thing u read about dubai is same with abu dhabi. Both cities are Almost the same. But dubai is a beat more populated.

Cost of living is relative.
Transportation is cheaper and easier in Abu dhabi than dubai. I have used both.... 24 hrs services available.
Accomodation might be higher in Abu dhabi, but depends on u. Rooms are between 2200 to 3000 Dirhams, bed space 500 to 700Dirhams. U can do ur comparison from dubizle. Most employers provide accommodation. Or U get tru dubizle, always readily available.
Feeding cost is same in General things like toiletries beverages, rice, beans, goil ,etc but Africa foods like red oil, egusi etc U see it more in dubai and cheaper.

There are Jobs in both cities, but Dubai will have more job opportunities and also more Applicants. So pray for Gods Direction, All u need is one Good Job.

God morng,a friend of mine did hers last month and said UAE embassy attestation is done mon- Thurs 9.00 - 2.00pm @ $30 per page.you will submit and pick it up the next day.
Ministry of Education is only on Mondays and Thursdays for attestation and for fast track services you pay 1,000. Remember, you will buy scratch card for your Wassce and attach the print out with your certificate.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs too is 1,000.you will collect them the same day too.
I stand to be corrected though
You will do MOE first then MOF.
you will have to be there very early.

Your very best bet would be to get a visit visa and come here and apply. drop your CV in all the hospitals and polyclinics and wait.Getting a job by applying via email is harder now, because there are many who have passed the exam who live close by (indians and Pakistanis) and generally i think the hospitals here prefer live interview seeing who they would want to employ as opposed to a skype interview. My family had been here but i was in naija because i had a job with UN and didnt want to leave, after passing haad i tried doing the email application thing, most of the clinics said i should contact them when i can come to UAE. The ones who interviewed me were offering very low salaries since they knew i was out of the country and would want a job before leaving.

however, before you come you can still give it a try and check the popular websites with uae jobs like indeed and joblistuae. I belong to a telegram group sha that has plenty ppl who passed dha and are living and working there, you can send me a message with your number and i would add you if you have telegram app, that way you can ask questions in the group directly. I am a dr though i am in Abu dhabi. Jobs are scarce now in dubai for doctors but more available in abu dhabi. Pay for doctors in dubai if you are lucky to get one is between 15000-20000aed, Abu dhabi is between 22 to 28 depending on the region. To be licensed you have to go thru dataflow and then dha screening and dha exam, usually doesnt take so much time if your school and mdcn decide to reply to thier queries early. if you have any further questions i can answer.

Congrats. I know that is not very easy.

Try to get a 1 month or 3 months visa and come visit hospitals and apply. You should be able to get a job even if its at a poly clinic. You have just one year so try not to be too picky as the year runs by pretty fast. Your main focus should be how to convert the Eligibility letter to a License then you can always move on to a better job. Good luck

Please I v been an ardent follower of this thread.please is there any Nigerian gp doctor in the house working in Dubia?how much do they pay and what are the job prospects with Dha licence.
