Congratulations! I used ICES too, I liked their service.
For posterity's sake, What did you evaluate and the outcome?
Thanks.
B.sc 5 year programme was evaluated as 4 year degree Canadian equivalency.

Congrats @veleta. Could you kindly clarify if WAEC verification is required to complete the evaluation?
WASSCE,isn't needed. Please go through their website for more detailed information.

ICES ECA report came out exactly 5 weeks today.Their turnaround is actually very fast.I think WES should be ditched.ICES is hassle free.UPS mail with tracking number was also sent so,you can know when it's to be delivered.

Thank you dear. I am the PA. That's his job title.
Pls how can i request for a refund from WES?
If you are the primary applicant and your hubby evaluated his Masters in Public Health, then it's not a problem. You are good to go.Spouses work experience does not count.Spouses only get points for ECA and ielts.
So,there is no need for WES refund.

Phakabir06:
please when you were filling the form online . Please the place where you they wrote if you have been refused visa in Canada or any other country . Please did you indicate you have been refused in usa ??
Once you have been refused visa in any country, please always indicate it because non disclosure of such is misrepresentation and attracts 5 year ban.Being refused a visa isn't a big deal.US and Canada share information. They run applicants details on their database and it pops up.

Hello House... Good day
Please i have questions. My husband is a medical doctor and has Masters in Public Health. I evaluated only his Master's. Hope no problem?
Again, His Job title n duties r in Medical field though the same NOC but different employer. Hope it won't contradict anything?
Thanks
If his job title and duties is 3112,then you can't use WES assessment,it must be done by MCC else his application will be refused.Go to page 0 of this thread and read about MCC evaluation and the process.

Thanks. I meant if birthday certificate is required at all, which should I use because I don't have the hospital's birth certificate anymore. PEBC requests for birth certificate.
PEBC,requires notarised NPC age declaration certificate.Go to any NPC office with affidavit from your parents or siblings then you can get it.It should cost you between 5k or more depending on the state.

Then, notarise both the NPC document and data page of international passport.Would recommend a notary public with a seal(Lawyer),my brother notarised at State High Court but it was rejected by PEBC
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by veleta: 10:38am On Oct 01, 2018
@Classified101,that is clear case of misrepresentation and attracts 5 year ban.Being denied a visa would not affect your EE application if you had mentioned.Canada and US share data.
You can only pray that miracle happens.Agents can ruin your life. All the best

That's incorrect sir. ICES will not accept payments with debit cards.

That's a wrong information dear, they do accept debit card,a lot of guys have used it for payment.Although, their website says otherwise.

Hi everyone,if an employee is paid salary directly through employers personal account, instead of company's account, does it call for concern?Your input is appreciated, thanks.

100% send proper documentations and sponsor her application.....

She should not exceed 6 months on any particular entry (say about 5 months plus).......
@Oga Lexus430,I would add that to play safe, she can still show may be her pension or business account then in the cover letter, her daughter can still say she is sponsoring her trip completely. At least,it shows her Mum has means of sustenance in Nigeria.Home office are very mean,it's always advisable when dealing with them to err on the side of caution.

@Mannycrown,if your wife's NOC as primary applicant falls under 3131(Pharmacist)her evaluation must be done by pebc not WES.I would advise you type pebc on the search engine and read previous posts on that. The pebc process takes time and you can get guidance from people that have done that by reading it up.Goodluck

Good evening all. Please am really new on Nairaland not up to a month but I have really gained a lot here. I appreciate everyone here really.
So far am searching for contact in unizik that will help me with my B.sc and M.sc transcripts sent to Wes. Currently I base in Lagos.
Thank you.
You only need to verify M.sc,send me pm for contact.I believe ICES is more cost effective than WES.

Hello all. I am planning to use ICES for my ECA. i have a masters degree so I was hoping that I only have to evaluate that, which should cost 200CAD but reading from their website, there is information on how WAEC results should be sent, do I also need to evaluate my WAEC and at what cost please? Kinda confused because I thought only WES requires WAEC. Thank you.
ICES does not need to evaluate WASSCE if your evaluation is post secondary school and it was obtained from Nigeria. Each country has its requirements on their website,so if you click on Nigeria, you will see the requirements and in your case,it's just your M.sc.

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by veleta: 9:44am On Aug 21, 2018
Hi folks,I would not want to sound negative but I honestly won't advise my enemy to come to UK for masters especially if your aim is to stay back.UK is very hostile to immigrants. They no longer issue post grad work permit again, once you finish your masters, they will throw you out.

I would advise you guys to channel your energy and search to Canada,Germany or Australia. These countries are immigrant friendly.Canada and Australia award points for schooling there through their point based system.

A lot of guys have made this mistake of studying in UK and ended up regretting it.Another thing is if you are done with Masters in UK and decide to go to OZ,Canada or Germany for another masters after realising you wasted your money in UK it becomes difficult to convince a Visa Officer why you are doing a second masters or even admission committee instead of PhD.

Please have a rethink.

Obviously 1 year internship is post grad and it's applicable to Lab Tech guys.Nice job you posted the link so the poster can read.

You're a good sibling. I think you should direct them to this forum so they get to see things for themselves, firsthand. Sadly, the 1 year internship won't count as acceptable work experience for the one sibling. The other sibling is fine. You should drag them to page 1 of this thread to complete your good deed. They'll be grateful to you for the kind gesture.
Paid internship counts as work experience once it falls under NOC O,A or B.We should put caveat if we are not very sure on certain information we give out.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by veleta: 6:03pm On Aug 13, 2018
@grammy010,it's too late to withdraw the application now unfortunately. The most likely scenario would be that the applicant would be scheduled for interview and if there is no substantive proof of the claimed work experience,5 year ban would be given or miracle happens.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by veleta: 5:17pm On Aug 13, 2018
Elfmannisback:
Can't it be withdrawn after AOR? Or sth?
Your profile becomes locked once you get your AOR.So obviously,if the applicant lied,it will treated be as misrepresentation and you can't withdraw your application again.
Any amendment has to be before you submit and receive AOR.You can even withdraw after or change some information after receiving ITA provided the information edited would not affect your score as at when you got ITA but once you submit your eapr, you have officially applied to IRCC.

America is a purely capitalist economy while U.K. is a socialist economy.Uk's NHS system as it is now is not sustainable and it's just a matter of time before it crumbles.Uk govt do not want to face reality and reform the system just like Australia. The NHS employees are bearing the brunt.Morale is so low, wages are so low and I don't want to dwell on vindictiveness on healthcare professionals especially on minority.

If you have a good job in US,your health insurance would be taken care of otherwise Medicare is there.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by veleta: 4:28pm On Aug 13, 2018
@Elfmannisback,you forgot to mention to him/her that his data/information is locked with IRCC once you submit your eapr.

@Bubuyaya,who says pregnant women don't do medicals until they put to bed?Pregnant women do medicals but they are given lead aprons to wear and in some countries they use very low radiation during X-ray.So it's allowed though the individual can chose not to do it.Its repeated exposure to radiation that can damage blood cells of the fetus.

@Shyee,I really feel your pain. This is complete bias, why single out your application? They should have clearly specified the documents needed from you from the onset. They can't try this in Western world because someone will sue their ass.Just hold on and see what their response would be.
Canada and their annoying bureaucracy, just like this WAEC and NECO verification, why not ask applicants to buy the scratch card themselves and include it in the documents that applicants will send to them. They will verify the details online by themselves.
Anyway,I blame African and Asian leaders.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by veleta: 2:54pm On Aug 06, 2018
@kmgb, I know they don't need verification what I meant was the processing timeline for your own though I saw 10 weeks in their website.
I will send them a mail or call them to clarify this mode of study thing from them.

Modified:.
Not sure what what was on my transcript. I never saw it
Ok thanks but how long did yours take for verification?

I was just thinking, why can't WES borrow a leaf from German Consulate, what they request for is WAEC or NECO scratch card/pin from applicants instead of this back and forth verification.
I don't think it's age discrepancy that they are interested in,I think it's the authenticity of the result because some transcripts don't have date of birth like Unizik.
