Nollywood Actress, Ini Edo took to instagram to address critics who come after her regarding her drastic weight loss. She wants them to know that she chose to be how she is because its her choice and no one matters. She said,

This is to all of my loyal fans who have had weight concerns... There's been lots of questions thrown at me via social media n beyond about my weight loss . As much as i do not live my life based on any ones dictate, am also a realist. Now, I've always said this and proud of it, I was born chubby. I've been that way for years. Had all d major endorsement deals , acted in over 300 movies in that my chubby state and most of you accepted me like that cos all I had or came to offer was the talent God gave me. Ur size or shape doesn't determine who you are, how successful u can be or how acceptable u will be. The world will always be unsatisfied with what ever situation u present to them. Ini... Ur too fat ohhh she's too slim kilodeeeeee ? My point is.. Be urself once ur happy with urself, everything else is inconsequential. We all have our individual problems. Some people find succor in social media by playing ghost and spitting flames in de dark to mask their bitterness. Don't look at them. Take care of urself. What I did? I hit de gym, reduced my carb to de barest minimum, lots of green tea n lemon and detox. It's extreme discipline. I had Thai noodles today and seafood wooooh I enjoyed it. Hmmm yea too much carbs but it is what is. However, if u loose weight to impress anyone, u will be depressed cos after all of that hard work, those complaints will take the direct opposite dimension. Lesson is ... Love urself cos world people WILL ALWAYS have something to say. It's standard.

Real Madrid Football Club has been disqualified from this season's Copa del Rey competition after Denis Cheryshev was fielded as an ineligible player during the round-of-32 clash against Cadiz on Wednesday.

He was said to have been featured in a game while he was serving a one-match suspension. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez backed his team following claims they could be ousted from the tournament. He was quoted by BBC Sport and insisted every player’s status had been checked “rigorously”: “We received nothing, no note, nothing from the RFEF. We’ll take this to the appeals, then the arbitration court.

“We checked the situations of all of the players listed in the squad rigorously before yesterday’s game.

“Chendo [Real Madrid’s matchday delegate] and coach Rafa Benítez want the best for Madrid but they do not think they have made any error in this instance.”

Popular Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson recently admitted in a chat she might be suffering from depression after clocking 30 years.


Despite her acting career soaring higher and higher, it seems, Ghanaian top actress, Yvonne Nelson could be suffering from depression.

She recently revealed in a chat that turning 30 may be a remarkable landmark for her as a woman but it is obviously getting her “depressed.”
In an interview on a special edition of Route919 on Live 91.9 FM, Yvonne disclosed that hitting the 30-year-old mark as a woman can be quite depressing.

“I’m blessed to be 30 years but I feel depressed. I actually called my mom and said oh my God I am 30 years. As a woman, it was depressing for me,” she said.

A 47-year-old man identified as Asendo who hails from Kwara State but acts as a Security guard in Lagos State met his untimely death on Thursday at a football viewing centre in Railway Line, Olayeye Street, Iponri area of Lagos State.

Asendo was watching a football match on Thursday in a football viewing centre when he received a call halfway to the game that some persons wants to see him outside the centre. Immediately he came out,about five hoodlums attacked him and stabbed him to death.

The hoodlums were said to have come for revenge after Asendo threatened to arrest them and take them to the police for vandalising cars and stealing in the area about three months ago. They stopped due to his threats and later came to kill him since he was a blockage to their activities in the area.

The relatives of the deceased has reported the issue to the Iponri Division of the Nigerian Police and investigation is on.

I relocated from Lagos to Abuja because of my business. My clothing line was suited for women of the north and that is why I relocated to Abuja. I make long dresses and my target is Abuja women. The families of the victims who lost their lives in the Paris attack has began the burial of their loved ones who were gunned down in the deadly attack which occurred about two weeks ago. Two funeral services were held yesterday,one of which was held in France and the other in Belgium. Friends and family members showed up as it turned to be an emotional goodbye to their loved one's. May their souls rest in peace.

A 32-year-old man identified as Ronald Pritchett,was arrested on Thursday at about 3.am after allegedly stabbing his father to death and wounding his mother over an argument about food.

The Mississippi man visited his parents in Gretna, just south of uptown New Orleans when the attack broke out over a food item.

His father was confirmed dead on his arrival at the hospital after being stabbed severally on his chest. His mother,Renta Pritchett was also stabbed on the head as well as she was seen on the staircase but hopefully she survived and is now receiving medical attention.

Meanwhile,Ronald has been arrested and is currently in prison.

Popular Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimakhu has finally stepped up her rift with Blogger, Michael Alonge as she threatens him with serious legal action if he doesn’t back down.

Their rift purportedly started when the popular journalist published a story surrounding her breakup with her hubby, Adeniyi Johnson.

According to the blogger, Toyin Aimakhu had allegedly been on the receiving end of a physical battering and pummeling by rumored lover, Seun Egbegbe.

In an effort to refute and discredit the spurious claims, she went on to enlist the services of a top lawyer who has gone all the way to get a restraining order against Michael Alonge.

The Minister of Youth and Sports,Solomon Dalong while on a visit to the APC Chairman yesterday over the death of the Late Audu Abubakar promised that the N5,000 pay to unemployed Nigerians would start by 2016 as it was not contained in the 2015 budget.

He said:

“I would want the youth to understand that every promise must be backed up by budgetary provision and our promise to pay N5000 is not contained in the 2015 budget. So, definitely, it is going to begin in 2016 as we have made budgetary allocations for that

“We are committed to the campaign promises of creating jobs, providing wealth and combat poverty. We have embedded in our manifesto things that we are translating to reality​.”​

The publication, which was released yesterday, also has other Nigerians recognized. They include the UN Special Advisor on Post Development Planning, Amina J. Mohammed; AfDB’s new President, Akinwumi Adesina and a surprising addition in the form of Nigerian Diasporan, UK MP and Labour Party leadership hopeful, Chuka Umunna; World Bank VP and Treasurer, Arunma Oteh, and Nigerian industrialist, Aliko Dangote also makes the list.

The annual “100 Most Influential Africans of 2015,” according to a statement from the magazine, presents the continent’s definitive power list and profiles the continent’s top game changers in eight different fields:

A US based Nigerian man, Samuel Agunbiade has been honoured by The board of Spring Branch Independent School District, Houston for saving 30 of its students from a fire outbreak which occurred on their bus on Friday.

Samuel Agunbiade said he heard a loud pop up sound from the bus tailpipe and smoke engulfing then he had to pull off the vehicle and help the students get off before the bus went on fire

Samuel who has been a driver for 21years while reacting to his honour said: "They're calling me a hero. I said hero? I just did what I was supposed to do. You guys are mine. I'm supposed to take care of you."

Ever since Chris Rock and his wife, Malaak Compton-Rock divorced,Chris haven't Set an eye on his adopted daughter as he is denying he never adopted her.

It’s a bizarre story … and one that triggered an international investigation. Here’s what we know. Back in 2008, a 6-month-old named Ntombi from South Africa began living with the Rock family. The girl stayed in the family house ever since. Ntombi was even enrolled in a New Jersey school.

Ntombi’s biological parents reportedly were unemployed South Africans and somehow the kid ended up at the Rock home.
Everything changed last year when Chris and Malaak began divorce proceedings. We’re told Chris maintained his relationship with his 2 biological daughters but hasn’t seen Ntombi since the split.

Around the same time as divorce docs were filed, South African officials opened an investigation to determine how the child went from their country to the U.S., when there was no evidence of a legal adoption.
As for why he went radio silent with Ntombi … sources connected to Chris say he never signed legal docs to adopt her, and bringing her over to the U.S. was all Malaak’s doing.

As far as we can tell there was never an adoption. It’s unclear how and why the biological parents allowed Ntombi to live with the Rock family for years.

Chris’ rep tells TMZ he does not have an adopted child. We tried reaching Malaak’s lawyer, but did not get a return call. TMZ

The U-23 National coach,Samson Siasia has picked 21 players from the team to represent Nigeria at the upcoming Africa's Nations Cup which is to be held in Senegal.

God is with us

The pregnant wife of a pastor was shot on her head in their Indiananapolis home in India on Tuesday while trying to defend herself and her son from an intruder.

The 28 year old Amanda Blackburn was placed on life support on Wednesday and was pronounced dead on Thursday.

Her husband was at the GYM while all this were happening and came back home by 8:30 only to find his wife on the floor with a critical wound. Meanwhile,the police has offered $1,000 to anyone who has information on how to get the intruder

Her Husband from Resonate Church couldn't control his feelings on her death as he makes his statement

The statement read: ‘It’s impossible to communicate all the emotions my heart has been forced to process. My wife was such a beautiful, gracious, loving woman of God.’I have not only lost my ministry partner and support, but also my very best friend. There is no way to prepare yourself for circumstances like these.’As deeply as I am hurting, I am hopeful and confident that good things will come of this. I rest in the truth of Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and who are called according to His purpose.’Thank you for understanding my desire to take these next few days to continue to grieve for Amanda Grace.’My focus right now is to let The Lord minister to my heart as I continue to shepherd little Weston’s. I’ll be taking this time to focus on being a great follower of Jesus, dad, family member, and pastor to our growing church.

‘Amanda made it her life’s calling to love and serve everyone she knew. The Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Delta State Police Command has arrested child traffickers who engage in selling of babies from pregnant girls to couples who don't have children.

SARS has since rescued five children from families where they have been sold within Delta, Anambra, Cross River, Akwa-Ibom and Rivers state. The suspects said:

“We sold babies between 1-5 years of age to those who have been married for several years without children. Some of us are nurses and supportive members of staff of health institutions.

We do not know how the police got wind of our illicit businesses while we were operating in Asaba and Onitsha. In most cases, a child costs between N250,000 to N500,000 while grown-up ones are sold for N1m.”

The suspects took SARS to Akwa ibom state where two other children were rescued and two other members of the vang arrested. One of the suspects said:

“Since their mothers cannot take care of their babies because of lack of money, we normally arrange for wealthy parents who have no children but in need of children, to come and buy from us and take them away. We issue receipts of payment to them, we don’t steal the children as police are alleging but the mothers of these children in most cases opt for their children to be sold. Some of them don’t even know the men who impregnate them while some would be hiding from their parents. So we actually help them to solve their problems”.

“We were just helping out some persons who are in need. We are not human traffickers even though we make money from it. The mothers of the babies wanted to throw them away so we came to assist these young girls so that they would not throw away the babies or kill them.”

The Delta state police command has taken charge and is to bring this suspects to book.
