As a starter, catfish pepper soup was served. The he went ahead and tweeted that it is great to have a beautiful woman that doesnt cook like @noble_igwe does, but for him, he’d rather have both!. Noble Igwe on seeing this, called out on him for mentioning his wife in his post and Freeze apologised saying he meant no disrespect.

Nigeria Music Act, Simisola Ogunleye popularly known as Simi in a recent interview talked about life as a singer, fame and her personal relationship.

Have always wanted to do music?

I didn’t grow up around a lot of music because my parents aren’t music inclined. I wrote my first song when I was 10 years old. I have a very short attention span and it is one of the reasons why I experiment a lot with my music. My parents separated when I was nine years old, so I did not spend so much time with my dad; he died in 2014. My parents were quite supportive of my career at first. After I bagged a degree in Mass Communication, from Covenant University, my mother wanted me to get some job experience by working with an oil firm. I have always been of the opinion that its impossible to do music part-time, so I asked her to pray for the success of my music career.

Apart from music, what other things are you talented at?

I am also a sound engineer, so I mix and master music.This a major boost to my career because it means that there are a lot of things I can do on my own. It has also proven to a lot of critics that I am not just another artiste.


You began your career as a gospel act. Why did you go mainstream?

The first thing that comes to the mind is that I did it for monetary reasons. However music became about ‘more’; I wanted to have a broader purview. It was a tough decision for me to make at first. I wanted to explore music more. My faith in God hasn’t waivered because before I went mainstream, I prayed to God to bless my career if it was his plan for me. I also don’t see myself doing gospel music again.

Why did you decide to record an entire album with Falz?

We are very good friends and having worked on several projects together, we toyed with the idea of recording a joint album.

What has fame cost you?

I don’t go out much but I love to go to regular places. I can’t do so any longer and I miss having a regular life because I am a regular girl.

Are you currently dating anyone?

I am in a relationship with someone else who is not Falzthebahdguy; we are just friends. My man is mature and understands the fact that I may be erroneously romantically linked with an artiste simply because we work on music projects together.

And this may sound scary but a Facebook user posted this from an accident scene in Kentucky, US.

The picture was taken by truck driver Saul Vazquez, who was travelling along the road in Powell County at the time of the crash.

He later posted it on Facebook, writing: "I took this picture just few minutes ago from the cab of my truck it was an accident between campton and Stanton on the service road just off of the mountain parkway.

"Zoom in and pay attention to the shadow just off the top of the state trooper hat. All I say is I hope everyone involved is okay!!"

The man died before getting to the hospital which made people believe that was when his soul left as he was observed to be the only one that died in the crash.

Three young men who claimed they were coming back from night vigil have been arrested in Amarata, a suburb of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State after two goats belonging to a restaurant owner was found in their possession.

According to Vanguard, the suspected thieves were caught while trying to escape with the stolen animals at an odd hour after they had successfully whisked out the two goats away from the animals’ barn.

According to the eyewitness, when the suspects were accosted by a resident, one of the suspects, holding a Bible in hand, claimed they were Christians returning from a church service, but they could not explain how they came about the goats in their possession.

The resident raised the alarm and alerted a local vigilante group, who later arrested and handed them over to the police. The owner of the goat has however, retrieved her livestock from the police custody.

27 year old Fidel Nikitin, killed himself after using his last savings to bet that France would win the 2016 Euro Cup which was played on Sunday.

The mobile phone salesman, from Izhevsk, Russia, left a message on his social media account after the 1-0 defeat saying: "Thank you and forgive me."

According to reports, Fidel Nikitin hoped the £2,300 gamble would allow him clear his debts but things didn't just go as planned for him. The police said he walked onto the Ludzya-Izhevsk railway track and did not flinch as a train sounded a warning.

The driver said he had no time to stop after seeing the man on the track and crushed him to death.

A Mayor in South Africa has giving out College Scholarships to 16 young women for maintaining their virginity so as to encourage others to be pure and focused in school.

According to her spokesman, Jabulani Mkhonza, The scholarship was introduced this year and has been awarded to young women from the Uthukela district in the eastern KwaZulu-Natal province. Each year the mayor's office awards scholarships to more than 100 promising high school and university students from the area, he said.

The Mayor revealed that, The young women who applied for the scholarships voluntarily stayed virgins and agreed to have regular virginity tests to keep their funding.
