Politics / Re: Xenophobia: South Africans Stage Protest, Ask Nigerians To Leave Their Country by veritasetfidei: 11:47am On Sep 25, 2020 |
Simplymax: Now what could the purpose of this post be other than to ferment discord amongst citizens of different countries . Here are the facts . 1. There was march 2. it was a handful of people and peaceful The picture used in the article that the link refers to was actually from a protest against lack of municipal service delivery in 2017 https://theconversation.com/south-african-protesters-echo-a-global-cry-democracy-isnt-making-peoples-lives-better-77639 Yet the picture is posted here to create the impression that South Africans are violently protesting against the presence of Nigerians . Nothing like some fake news . Time to scratch that news source off my approved list of news sources . |

emperorshaokahn: If you took the time to view the video you would have seen that it was aimed at the Nigerian and Zimbabwean embassy. A better question would be why is this happening in other African countries as well. Either it is a continental conspiracy where the citizens of SA , Ghana and Kenya got together and decided "hey bros we do not like Nigerians lets ask them to get lost because we are super jealous of their undeveloped infrastructure , lack of water and electricity" OR the behavior of your citizens has led to this . If it was just a general inability to blame government for its failings then you would see these complaints and marches against all African migrants would you not and yet the same suspects keep being blamed I wonder why that is ? There is a well know Japanese saying" the nail that sticks out shall be hammered down" The seriousness of the offenses Nigerians are committing coupled with their loud ,boorish behavior when arrested is what attracts the attention. South Africans have no issue with Nigeria let alone any jealousy our strength does not require your weakness and in fact the continent will be so much better with both of us at the height of our strength and full potential however that will not be possible until such time as Nigerians have the ability to introspect and realize that something needs to change. What a great country you will be when that realization dawns. |

emperorshaokahn: What a load of balderdash masquerading as fact . Have you ever read a South African newspaper ? Followed a parliamentary debate live online ? The issues that south africans are currently debating include amongst others : 1. Land reform 2. Corruption 3. Labor law reform to encourage investment As a person of mixed heritage no one that I know is scared of debating or confronting any other south african and we do not have overlords . Do yourself a favor and join r/southafrica on Reddit and watch the debats and arguments there which I submit is a reasonable microcosm of our society and the debates we are currently having. What Nigerians have to do is admit that the majority of Nigerians leaving for SA are not the cream of the crop but rather those who bring your country no praise . Calling this out and acknowledging it is the first step towards realizing that their conduct is detrimental to international relations in the long term due to the perception of Nigerians which these chaps create by their persistent and endemic unlawful behavior. Find below a link illustrating how many foreigners were in SA prisoners as of 2017 https://www.htxt.co.za/2017/07/10/how-many-foreigners-sa-prisons/ |

illicit: Uhm Shoprite is where the poor in SA shops . The middle class and up shop at Spar/Pick and Pay and Woolworths so yes the level of development is different . Lets be factual and try not to be disingenuous when debating it adds nothing to the conversation. |
Crime / Re: #AlayeMafo: My Encounter With A "South African" Scammer On Telegram (scrnshots) by veritasetfidei: 12:19pm On Sep 24, 2020 |
Pretty terrible scammer to be honest . Adongo is a name that has Kenyan etymology not South African . When will people learn that if it sounds too good to be true it generally is ? Anyone offering returns above those that financial institutions and Banks offer are scammers then again if it were not for scammers we would not have the adage "that a fool and his money are soon parted" I like how you introduced the assets you trade in under the guise of explaining how someone tried to scam you . I wonder how many fools are going to contact you about the "utterly reliable" and non scam manner of trading that you do . 2 Likes 1 Share |

Iceyjayzz: This must be the most silly thing I have read in awhile and that is saying a lot given the tendency for stupidity on the internet in general. You know nothing about our people and history other than what can be gleaned from anecdotal stories . Feel free to visit our country and be amazed stop listening to stories online A little quote for you with a source "While South Africa remains one of the most unequal countries in the world, Oxfam recognised that it was also the African country doing the most to inequality. “Top-ranking South Africa is in second place for social spending, with a strong record of investing in health, education and social protection,” Oxfam said. “Their Africa ranking on labour rights and minimum wages is also reasonably high, coming in eighth. This may improve further if the government introduces a national minimum wage this year as planned, despite opposition. “The most impressive indicator, however, is tax progressivity, where South Africa comes first among African countries, and third globally.” https://businesstech.co.za/news/wealth/338943/these-are-the-most-unequal-countries-in-the-world-including-south-africa/ Guess what ? A black government is responsible for that . Our country is generations ahead of yours in most aspects , accept it , work harder and move on. 2 Likes |

[quote author=Vyzz post=93840102]South Africans are becoming a thorn in the flesh of all Africans.... The can't even stand up and tell theirselves the truth... The should look inwards if the truly wants to fight against the shit the been going through.... When ever a thing doesn't go their way the wyn and wail like a kid pointing accusing finger to other nations... (Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Madagascar and Co)... With all this their wailing nobody is truly going to take them seriously.... I repeat... The should look inwards [/q That makes no sens e what does looking inward have to do with the allegation that a Nigerian syndicate is kidnapping kids? The cops will investigate and if there is any truth to the allegation arrest will be made .Our specialized units do not play with these types of offenses . Time will tell whether the allegations have merit or not |
Crime / Re: South Africans Identify a "Nigerian" Suspect by Looking at his Head (TWEETS) by veritasetfidei: 9:18am On Sep 07, 2020 |
Well it is obviously not a South African and looks like a Nigerian .That being said Nigerians are disliked in SA for obvious reasons none which are xenophobic in nature since Ghanians , Kenyans and Zimbabwean citizens live peacefully among us . We only have issues with loudmouths that bring crime and drugs to our country. I suspect Nigeria would feel the same if our scum was coming to your country and not contributing to the economy but becoming a drain on our healthcare system et al. 2 Likes |
