Without any intent to malign and undermine Obi and Labor Party, Ezenwa has never been a factor in Owerri Zone politics, even as a sitting senator, and he has never realistically been an Ihedioha man. In fact, barring any last minute disappointment, APC, rather than PDP or LP, will win Owerri Zone senatorial seat in 2023.

Umahi is the most popular politician from Ebonyi and it’s good for the APC that he will be on the ballot. The presidential and senate election will be done the same day so the party will deliver for all the candidates on the ballot that day.

And talking about Senate presidency, a special consideration will be given to SE. So many APC leaders will prefer Umahi as senate president to a character like Orji Uzor Kalu.

Independent candidacy is an option truly and can work, but it can only work for someone who has a strong financial muscle or ingrained influence on the majority of the electorate; better if the person has both. Unfortunately, Osinbajo has none of these, he is just popular to a meagre fraction among the masses.

The South West delegates gave all their votes to Tinubu and Osibanjo in their usual tribalistic nature, you and other little things like you did not see anything wrong with that. However, you see everything wrong with the South East delegates that were considerate enough to give at least some votes to both Tinubu and Osinbajo and you called them haters, even when these Yoruba goons got more votes from the same South East delegates than Rochas and some other contestants from the same zone.

And, oh yes, just as the South East votes alone are inconsequential in making someone a president in Nigeria, so also the votes of any other zone alone in the country cannot make someone a Nigerian president. But then, you little things do not know this fact or know but choose to pretend as usual.

What is the total of the delegate votes from the South East and compare it with that of other zones and tell me how everyone going tribal and voting along that line will guarantee an Igbo man a win. Elections are win and lost before the election proper. I won't even be surprised that someone like you have not contested ordinary kindred head election least of winning, yet you think you know better than some people who have won everything except the presidential election.

You and your likes don't get it. Igbos don't play politics of tribalism like other tribes, especially the South Westerns do. And the Igbos request for power isn't based on tribalism but natural justice. The natural justice in this regard is expected to be granted by other zones before the primary election proper, which didn't happen, and that is why the aspirants from the zone did not get good or block votes from the delegates. There is no need to waste a vote that cannot guarantee a winning when it can be used to support a winner or someone with more potential of winning.

The earlier you all accept that the Igbos are politically victimized for obvious reasons the better.

And yes, power is given and not taken in a clime like Nigeria which is the reason why the Northerns in APC have given the Southerns the opportunity.

Before you say that Igbos are emotional, remember that no Igbo man has exhibited the kind of emotion BAT exhibited at Ogun State, and rightly so, when he felt he was being denied his right.

Until the majority of the Nigerian power brokers decide to cede power to the Igbos, they won't get it no matter how hard the politicians try. In summary, the inability of the Igbos to clinch federal power has nothing to do with them being ignorant about how to play good politics.

I, OUK, and everyone in our camp saw it all before the primary election proper, which is the reason we took the stand we took, and we have no regrets.

An almost generally accepted consensus candidate is likely to be ratified before 6 PM, barring any unforeseen circumstance. So, we may likely be looking forward to an affirmation rather than voting.

Lawan will carry the day tomorrow because the Northern governors are now playing to the gallery. The APC chairman had the consent of PMB while his meeting with the mentioned governors were ongoing. Now, the Northern masses will issue an ultimatum to delegates from the North to follow the chairman and PMB's directives whether or not the Nothern governors like it, in case the issue result in indirect primary rather than consensus affirmation tomorrow.

That has been the long-standing arrangement. If the power brokers from both regions succeed in pushing the power shift agenda to the South, Amechi will fly the party ticket with Lawan as his running mate, while otherwise, Lawan will fly the party ticket with Amechi as his running mate. OUK's interest isn't a personal or selfish one, but he would not mind taking the SP seat, he is not too keen about being a vice president.

Barring any last minute change of mind from PMB, it is as good as a sealed deal.
