Right after this picture was taken at the Glam Africa cocktail party in V/I, my friends and I decided to Club-trot for a crazy nite out. So we hit 3 clubs before deciding to round up our club trotting at Hard Rock Cafe. We got there, got the best seats in the zone and wham bam, I was already on the speakers dancing the nite away!
An industry (married) friend of mine who wasn't too comfty with my crazy clique asked to leave. My usual courteous self decided to walk her to her Uber. Mistake of the century! We got outside and she sighted a familiar face. This familiar face was with five of his friends. My usual courteous self joined her, shook hands all around, cracked a couple of jokes with the guys and walked her to her car.
Heading back into the club, my usual courteous self walked up to the guys to greet them again. I noticed a new face this time and he had a girl on his lap. I hailed him first and stretched out my hand for a handshake and he retorted loudly, "I DON'T SHAKE HOMOSEXUALS LIKE YOU." As the renowned spin doctor that I am, I laughed it off and said, "No wahala. Madam will do the greeting for all of us".
And the girl on his lap got up, hugged me and I immediately turned to leave.
What happened next was like a scene outta an LGBTQ documentary. This guy raced up to me & held my stare at the entrance to the club screamin out expletives;
"FUCKING gay! STUPID GAY ASS BASTARD. HOW DARE YOU HUG MY GIRL WITH YOUR GAY ASS HIV BODY. I'LL Bleep YOU UP IN THIS TOWN, I'LL Bleep YOU UP. THEM IDIOTS FUCKING YOUR BEHIND CANT DO SHIT TO ME.." His girl tried to hold him back but he pushed her off with;
"LET ME TEACH THIS gay A LESSON".
I stood calmly watching him, with my champagne flute in my hand whilst he was screaming in my face.
And everyone stood watching without saying a word.
His friends finally dragged him to the parking lot but he was still cursing!
Someone ran in & called all my friends.
Long story cut short, I got a cal that morning from high ranking officials with info about this guy plus his house addy in Texas.

Many cartons of tramadol estimated at about 4000 kilogrammes have been intercepted by the Murtala Muhammed Airport command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). .

NDLEA Commander at the Lagos Airport, Garba Ahmadu, who unveiled the seized tramadol to newsmen at the airport, said the interception was made through intelligence information received from its foreign counterparts. .
.
It was learnt that the tramadol was imported into the country from India and intercepted at the cargo shed of the Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCOL). .
.
For about one month, no cargo agent showed up to claim the consignments prompting the agency to take possession of the items. .
.
The NDLEA boss disclosed that the psychotropic substance consists of capsules and tablets of 225 and 125 milligrams respectively far above the 50-100 milligrams of dosage approved by the government.

Borno Governor, Kashim Shettima has queried his Commissioner for Higher Education, Usman Jaha, for distributing kits with shoe polish and other items to youths in Gwoza as part of his personal welfare programme.

While Reading Daily Post , Aproko Girl Learnt that A top government official made the disclosure on Thursday.

He said Governor Shettima lambasted the Commissioner for embarrassing not only himself but the administration.

The source said: “The Governor reminded the Commissioner that his Ministry has so far facilitated the approval of foreign Universities Scholarship to more than 300 Borno Youths, among them almost 100 ladies studying medicine abroad as part of the Governor’s standard in human resource development.

“The Governor also reminded the Commissioner that his ministry is building Borno’s first State University after 41 years of the State’s creation and therefore wondered why on earth the Commissioner, who is a Degree holder, chose to distribute shoe polish as part of his own understanding of human capacity development for youths in Gwoza”.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner has issued clarification on the matter.

He explained that the programme was his personal intervention based on the request from the beneficiaries.

A statement he signed read: “The programme is my personal effort and it is based on the peculiar needs of the beneficiaries in Gwoza.

“All communities have their needs and these needs change from time to time. In my years as a politician who served at the Borno State Assembly before becoming a Commissioner, I have always interacted with constituents before making any welfare intervention.

“I make interventions based on their peculiar needs. There are times people ask for a particular support and we don’t have the liberty of imposing our preferences.

“We support communities in all sectors that include education, vocational skills and businesses. There are records. What do what our people want.

“I have once seen the picture of a serving Governor from a different part of this country distributing life chickens to citizens and I am sure it was based the peculiarities of needs.

“A good politician must be conscious of the peculiarities of needs in the communities he or she represents. A politician must be pragmatic and must not ashamed of doing what his people want because the people make the politician.

“What is important to me is the happiness of our people in Gwoza, nothing else really matter”.
