phantom: they forget that first and foremost, the resident doctor is already A DOCTOR. he has the basic MBBS that they have not even been able to match.
residency is a SPECIALIST postgraduate training with a research component. they are specializing in a field of medicine but they are already doctors so why shouldn't they be paid? what does one not read on naira land these days.
its like asking that lecturers who are in the process of getting a PhD should not be paid while they offer lecturing services in the process.
this country is a useless place.its only in Nigeria we call doctors doing a postgraduate program,'student' doctors. dear lord!

There is no integrity in his resignation.
During the EDM(emergency delegate meeting) of
6th August,Dr Obembe without regards to the delegates unilaterally called off the strike while meeting was still in progress. He subsequently worked out on the delegates to make a press briefing. He was immediately suspended and impeachment plans were about to be commenced when he came back in and apologize d to the delegates who reinstated him.
It's very likely that the doctors will not accept "this resignation" on the grounds that it was improperly done,and he could face impeachment.

Reproduced below is the resignation:

There has been request for clarification about the two postings from NMA secretariat on NMA blog.
I want to make it categorically clear that I stand by every letter of the document I signed-"THAT THE STRIKE WAS SUSPENDED". And since upon my INTEGRITY AND HONOUR,I cannot continue to drive the doctrine that "STRIKE CONTINUES",I hereby tender my letter of Resignation as NMA president.

1. East represents the adjacent side of a triangle: 1+1+1=3miles
North represents the opposite side of d triangle: 2+1+1=4miles
Then d point from X to Y represent the hypothenus of d triangle. (Using pythogoras theorem)=square root of the squares of 3 and 4=square root of 25=5miles



3. The flagstaff has three colours:red,blue n white,let the total length be X,
X=2x/3 + 3x/10 + 4.5, collect like terms,
X/30=4.5,therefore,X=4.5* 30=135metres

dmajesticjoe: Yea, I got it without approximation as follows: Earls's rate is 45 per minutes and Ellen needs 1.5minute 2 do dsame job so Ellen's rate is 45/1.5=30 per minute. If both of them work for a 2 minutes(i.e a minute each) then they must have achieved 45+30=75: if they work 4 2minutes each(i.e 4minutes altogether) they achieve 75*2=150. Obviousely, if they work 4 8minutes(which is 4minutes each) they will achieve 75*4=300.so both of them working 2geda @ dia different rate will achieve d 300 in 8minutes. Dat was how I got exactly 8minutes. I can present dis in anoda language if u're nt clear
