It only became a widely accepted economic system at the end of the Cold War, as a result of the victory of the United States over the Soviet Union.
Now, some may say, that the Cold War never ended, because of the continued rivalry between the east and the west. If this controversy has been brought to light by the various theories surrounding the corona virus pandemic, capitalism will not end as a concept, but it will surely lose its boundaries and incur various limitations.
