how can the north 'lose out' of a discussion? Have every had a conversation with someone and lost a conversation unless you came in to compete (argue)? The real truth is the north is a myth. There's no 'north'. The term was invented because the british didn't have enough motivation to create several colonies with everything north of the Lagos, Eastern and western colonies so it just declared it all as 'north'. It then contacted it's most powerful tribe, the Fulani by proxy of the Hausa, and called them Hausa-Fulani.
