hello, I went for the russian student visa interview on Wednesday and during the interview, the consular asked what my best subject was which I answered geography. .he den proceeded in asking me the capitals of some countries like Australia and Egypt which I couldn't answer, the one I thought I answered correctly was brazil which I said was rio de janeiro and it turns out to be wrong too. All other questions pertaining to my travel was answered correctly but am worried if my inability to answer those questions might jeopardise my visa application. .we were asked to come back for how passport on monday. What do u guys think? should I be worried cos av even paid for the school fees
It is hard to tell whether your wrong answers would have negative impact on your application or not because, i don't know the relevance of the questions to your intended course: it would have been a different thing if you failed to answer questions that have to do with the structure of the course.
There's no point to be anxious now, and no answer can change the outcome, so, just wait and see.

do you have any picture of the bag which says that?

the label shown was attached, just noticing.

a google search shows a different bag with "a specially formulated flour mix" printed on it.
If you are not familiar with this particular bag, then, you better listen to someone who is.

What you are trying to say is you never checked the labels until this time.
i guess you assume nigeria is a jungle.
the ingredients have always been stated on the package.
You still do not seem to understand. The label hasn't always been there, it is now being sticked on the bag to conceal the original deceptive information that says "INGREDIENT: YAM FLOUR", there was NEVER that particular label on the bag.

do you have any evidence or proof of virtually every claim you made here?

the ingredients are clearly stated on the pack, I don't understand your grouse.
What proof do you need?
The ingredients had never been stated until this time: by the way, don't you observe that ingredients are stated in external label?

Food / No Yam In Pounded-yam by Vicjustice: 3:37pm On Oct 07, 2015
From era to era, Pounded-Yam has been a very popular food with Nigerians, and the traditional way of preparing it is the same all over: and even though there exist some mechanical devices that are designed to do the manual handling and pounding, most Nigerians still prefer the traditional method of boiling the Yam and pounding the edible chunks in a wooden mortar with a wooden pestle. But For ages, (with the traditional preparation method proving difficult to those abroad), Nigerians abroad are contended to have found the alternative way to prepare the food by basically stirring and mixing the "Yam" powder in hot-water, and then finishing the dough in a microwave oven or on a Burner.
But the question is, do you really know what you eat?
The pictures below would blow your mind to know that you have been scammed to have been ignorantly eating something that obviously contains agents responsible for protruding belly, something that you never would have subscribed for, and like the title suggests, there is no Yam in "Pounded-Yam".
But why are Nigerians deceitful in every little thing, even food, why not just honestly declare what the true stuff is? Many thanks to the Irish/UK authorities that have forced them to reveal the true contents, we now know what the dubious "Pounded-Yam" companies have been hiding from their consumers: the contents are now being displayed on improvised label stickers.
The fact is: if the package is deceptive, then the displayed nutritional values are sham: so, how can we be certain that the contents are indeed what are eventually stated?
What is the Nigerian authority doing about this fraudulent activities or is Politics involved, i mean why is NAFDAC allowing this to happen under its watch?

Not really.

That's just one of the accounts. The company has well over 5 different accounts as an organization established since 1973 and one of the biggest brand name in the sector they belong to.

My question is should I include or not include?

Note the inclusion is just to prove my ties with Nigeria that as an individual, one is doing well in his own right and doesn't need to abscond and start hustling
Well, it won't hurt to include your bank statements but yet, your job should make a better tie than your bank statements.
And like i said: "If your company is a well established company you would not be needing a bank statement of your own when you are being sponsored by such company"

Hi.

Just stumbled on this your post and I have a question

My company is sponsoring my Visa to a certain country for a week course and this is well spelt out in the introduction letter together with other supporting documents.

I have two personal accounts, which I'm thinking of including each account has excess of A million respectively.na

Q1 can I go ahead the two personal bank account statements?

Though I have included the company bank statement in excess of 5m naira

Thks your prompt response would be appreciated

Cc Vicjustice
If your company is a well established company you would not be needing a bank statement of your own when you are being sponsored by such company. But from your narration and the figure that you give it is clear that your company is somehow struggling one.
It is difficult to give you advice merely based on the information that you provided: one would ask if what is the N5m for and how can you prove that you have access to the money.
Well to be honest, i doubt that a visa will be issued to an employee of a company that can only boast of N5m.

Thanks @vicjustice and @cozybunch for all the useful info and great job so far .

I was asked to present my salary account statements and that of my spouse for my visa application. The issue is that i get my salary via direct payment on pay-days i.e its not paid from my company directly into my account. Are there any justifiable reasons I can give to this effect and possible proof I can show. Thanks
The method of your salary payment is deemed illegitimate and therefore, it will disqualify you for a visa: any presentation of proof or explanation of such method of payment will undermine every other considerable aspect and automatically get your application refused.
If your spouse has a considerable bank statement, then i advised that you guys use that one because, yours is totally out of it.

Hi vic, just wanted to be sure of this Latvia thing. Because my fiance is sending me an invitation and she is Latvian Citizen, is the main job of screening applicants done there?
Well, like i explained, the Latvian Ministry Of Foreign Affairs is responsible for screening the personality and calibre the the person who is inviting, and also the circumstances of the one who is to be invited: and once the invitation has been given a pass, the visa is almost certain unless the embassy finds probable cause to deny it.
This regulation does not apply to someone who is applying for tourist visa without invitation.

Good day Sir,
M eniola by name I am from nigeria , I saw your thread . I need your help and guide on how to package my application. My Dad,Mum and 2 siblings are irish citizen living in ireland , but our last born his irish citizen by birth . I am the first born I stayed in Nigeria my Dad want me to come for a family visit to ireland , so Sir I want you to put me through on the requirements I will need.
Well, your question is to general, it is not a valid request: if everyone who is applying for a visa requests this, then, I will have to be repeating the same answer over and over and over again to everyone.

My Dad has buildings, his a landlord! do i have to take his house Certificate of occupancy in one of his buildings and go @ embassy, just in any case they ask me where he generated the funds from?

and what if they don't ask? and also the mode of how the money was lodged, is it going to affect me? Because i want to put all the money at once in my personal account today

Please advice me! thanks for your assistance
The money received from (Nigerian style) property ownage and rentage can not satisfy the required standard of acceptable method of earning for the simple reason that such earnings are mainly undocumented and do not comply with taxation: and therefore, they lack credibility.

Thank you Vicjustice! Valid evidence in the sense that if they see the depositors name same with my surname they wont believe its my father?

what other way should i have to provide evidence. and also if my use the name of my father to deposit it one time example 2 million Naira, will this disqualify me?

Thanks for your help so far!
The evidence of the source of origin of the fund is what is they like to see; in plain word, they want to see the thing that generated the money, not just the availability of the money.

And also take note, Am right now sponsoring myself. so i should just say in a written letter that my father gave me the money for my studies abroad is this wise enough? so if i take money from my uncle, i will still get disqualify?
If he gives me money on his own freewill to put on my personal account for the purpose of my studies, i will still get disqualify?
Am sponsoring myself this time!
I will wait for your reply sir!
Hearing anything about your uncle will put you in position of disqualification.
An uncle is not an immediate family member, meaning, an extended relative is not eligible to come into it at all:
The sponsor has to be your PARENTS, your BROTHERS, your SISTERS or your SPOUSE: the involvement of any other person will automatically disqualify you.
If you state that the money was provided by your uncle, that will automatically disqualify you, and if you state that your parents provided the money or that you are providing it, then you would need to present valid evidence.

but was given right to appeal. what if i deposit the money in my personal account, money which is from my Uncle's company account which i had used to apply earlier

And put in a written statement that where as my uncle cant sponsor me with the money on his account, that he has sent me the money to my personal account for my studies Abroad along side with my father

Does this sound any better & encouraging? what do you Guys think?

Evidence of the source of origin which the money can be traced to, not just the availability of the money in a bank statement.
