askari01: 1. Yes I submitted My salary account 2. My company either pay in cash if we are not on site and they pay into our accounts via bank transfer if we are on site outside town. 3. No, I only submitted the offer of employment, leave approval and introduction letter from my company with my I'D card. 4. I explained in the additional information section, I told them I bought 2 cars for my self and wife as a surprise but my wife adviced we sell them to purchase a landed property which we sold to someone who remmited the funds into my account and we bought a parcel of land. I gave the bill of lading, for the 2 cars and I also gave the sales of agreement for the vehicles with the application... 5. I only submitted leave approval, introduction letter and offer of employment. 2) Cash payment method does not usually go well with visa application, but if however that your company pays in cash, it is expected that you are issued pay-slip with detailed reports, especially taxation details. 3) Had there not been other valid reasons to refuse you visa application, it wouldn't have been a problem (to present letter of employment that you have requested for). 4) Explanation might not be good enough in this regard, even explanation with documents because, selling a car does not explain the origin of the money, it would require the source from which the original fund was generated. askari01: Juswise, vicjustice n others, what's ur view? Should I work on the ECO's allegations and reapply or just drop the case till another 6 months? But remember I am on leave right now... I recommend re-application at the right time because, you have no ground to "work on the ECO's allegation", in my judgement, your application was justifiably refused. |

askari01: Justwise, vic justice, ralphlaauren, iblaw, and others, I got my package yesterday but wasn't happy with the result, After explaining everything in my application and also in the addition information, they did as if they never read it at all. See below what they wrote in the refusal note-
You have stated that u are employed full time as a PM for xyz company earning 200K, in support of ur application u have submitted a letter from ur remployer and a bank statement, firstly considering the letter in isolation, without any corroborating evidence and noting it was issued on ur request means, it has little evidential value when accessing ur claimed income and employment, secondly I have reviewed the bank statement submitted and I can discern no regular income from an identified source, the deposit are in cash and there for the sources is un identified, I am not satisfied that the docs provided give satisfactoryevidence of ur. Employment and income.
I also not from the bank statement provided that in May 2015, three months before the submission of ur visa application u deposited 1.8M which is 10times ur claimed monthly income, from the documents submitted, I am not able to corroborate the origin of the funds held in ur bank, I am not satified that they are genuinely available to support ur visit not that the balance of this account is a true reflection of ur usual financial circumstances, This means that I am not satisfied that you have therefore accurately presented ur circumstance in Nigeria and this undermines the overall credibility of the application.
In addition from evidence shown, you also have no evidence of travel and compliance with immigration procedures similar to those of the United Kingdom, which might offset my other concerns and it's is not clear why u have chosen this time to visit the UK.
Pls let me hear ur opinion, if I should reapply or just stay put. Urgent attention required. The reasons given are fair grounds for refusal, or do you have any dispute about the ECO's decision? |

Oluebbie: Hello everyone, I am back again with my question. I am presently a PhD student (3rd year) with my husband here (working on dependant visa). We have a four year old and presently expecting a baby. We want to apply for a visitor's visa for my mum-in-law towards the delivery of the baby. I work few hours but my husband works and earns more. I need to clarify two things, can I be the one inviting her (been a student) and present my husband's bank details? or can I present my bank details (my husband intends to be putting his income in it now so as to run it)? or better still should my hubby just be the one inviting her ? I just want to know how to go about it. There is nothing wrong with the both of you inviting here, the invitation letter can bear both names. But as for the reason that your are inviting her, she could be refused the visa if you are bringing her in to assist (according to your word) "towards the delivery of the baby", she could also be refused if you state that you need her to help in minding the baby etc: just say that she is delighted to visit you, the baby and the UK. |

teana4040: Gudday everyone....big ups to all who have being keeping this thread going with meaningful contributions and suggestions...
I need advice on what to do...I work with the an oil and gas firm with a salary of 310k after tax...I was given a 6months visa last year which expired in May this year...though I travelled with it last year Dec for 10 days..
This time I want to travel wit my husband.as my last trip was really boring, just did my tours alone. But we have a little constraint..my husband due to downsizing in his place of work...he has being out of work for like 7months now,so no salary...though they promise to recall them soon.
1.Now is it possible for me to sponsor my husband? 2.Does he need to put his employment papers to show he is was working before and has being placed on standby
3. He had some savings of about 700k...that he paid into my account so as to add up to d expenses for d trip....so if am to fill d form wld I say he is sponsoring too or am the full sponsor..
4. I had some tips from work paid into my savings account... I do I prove d source of funds
Thanks so much while I await ur response
Cc Justwise Vicjustice Epotek Iblaw And everyone 1) As his spouse (who earns N310.000) per month, you are good to be his sponsor. 2) He can do that as an added advantage, but it is not necessary. 3) Either or both of you can be responsible for the trip: so it is OK if he is adding financial support, but it is not necessary. 4) If the "tip" makes a significant part of the money in your account, then, you would need to provide evidence of source, otherwise, it is insignificant. |

But now that I will be presenting an immediate family statement of account alongside with mine, do I have to tell them that , my Uncle which I used as my sponsor befr put the money in my account OR the recent immediate family put the money in my account..? If you state that the money was provided by your uncle, that will automatically disqualify you, and if you state that your immediate family member did, then you would need to provide valid evidence. |

Sotchaa: Hi Justwise, VicJustice, O'Green et al...please help.
I need some clarification. I went to the UK for a few days in december. However, the day i got in, i got a stomach bug from some food i had and was so sick i had to be rushed to A & E. I was rehydrated, given antibiotics and left that same day. All free of charge, and they were aware i was a visitor. My question is now that i'm re-applying, how do i answer the 'have you ever received medical treatment in the uk' question? If yes, how do i fill the contact as i don't even know this. Also, can this cause any issue with my application?
Thanks To the question: Have you ever received medical treatment in the UK? Just answer YES. And as for the contact details Just write the CITY/TOWN and add don't recall contact details. Trust me, they will get the details themselves. |

I doubt this because, i know that (though, it may take some time, but) they usually send bills to the person who received medical services and demand full payment of the entire costs except of course you were covered by insurance. Before knowing what to answer to that question, i advice you to contact the address that you declared and see whether there was/is any correspondence from the hospital debt recovery body: You would have a lot of explaining to do if you left the UK while the debt was pending. |

Demaejy: @ Vicjustice , Justwise , worry357
Please I need your view on this.
I applied for a student visa in which I used my Uncle as my sponsor. Some days later, see below the message I received from the embassy.
"". Dear Sir,
The Hungarian Immigration Office ask for additional documents. I attached the letter.
I am calling your attention, that you have to submit the following additional documents in order to support your application.
Please attach your personal fresh bank statement from the last 6 month, according to the Hungarian laws, the uncle is not a family member.
Please scan and send the document by email to the Embassy.
Thank you. """
........................................... ............................... .. ..
Note that, I am a student going for Bachelor program and I don't work yet, so i don't have money in my personal account. What can I do in this situation? Since their laws don't regard an Uncle as a family member, is it advisable to use my parent account? Though the parent account is not as strong as my Uncle's account and that's why I didn't use my parent account before.
Thanks , I will appreciate your replies. You are either to be financially responsible for it or the sponsor must be an immediate family member; that is, your parents, brother or sister. |

refreshrate: @justwise @vicjustice Hello sirs, please my younger brother just finished his masters in the UK. He still has a valid student visa that expires in January. He wants to come home for 2 weeks and return back. says with his student visa he works for a couple of hours a week and would really like to use the privilege.
Thing is if he comes home for the two weeks, would there possibly be any challenge getting back to the UK since his course is finished? or what would you advice? Thanks The best way to evaluate this situation is to consider whether (a person in) his personal circumstances merits a tourist visa. If YES, then he shouldn't have any problem returning to the UK. But if NO, then, there is a very high chance that he will be denied re-entry for reason of not having compelling purpose to return to the UK. |

You are sponsoring yourself, 2 weeks vacation will have a high financial implication, the hotel bills and living expenses. This trip will take about 4 months of ur salary, if not more; lets say flight (150k), hotel for 14 days (180k) and more money for miscellaneous.

kacchiz: that was exactly why i came here to clarify. i will include the denial stuff cos was denied on insufficient funds. with a cash balance of 800k, do i stand a chance of getting the tourist visa. my cousin wanted to transfer 500k to my account so it can cross over 1m but the condition is that i will have to transfer to him like 2days later cos he intends using it for his business trip. if i transfer the cash after printing, my available balance will be 800k.
however i want him to transfer to my gtb den i will transfer it from gtb to my fidelity (is fidelity i intend presenting likewise my access bank whih is salary account)so it doesnt look like an external person is transferring the cash cos of the visa.
is that ok? Click here to find help: https://www.nairaland.com/967110/main-reasons-many-refused-visas |

jamalsky: Going through your posts and you are all doing a great job in here, assuming I had access to a blog like this I am sure I wouldn't be in the situation I am in now,let me explain things clearly,I seek you advice. Sometime in 2003 as a young lad,I obtained a passport with my name,DOB but changed my birth year to show then I was older and applied for a UK visa, the application then was of course not well packaged and refused. Come 2012,I got another fresh passport(the previous one had been lost for years) and I wasn't even sure as at then when I made the first application, the new passport had my exact birth details ,I could have continued using the previous false details but due to the nature of my present employment (which is sensitive) and I just felt personally that I should get it right for now & future purposes,I corrected that. I applied for a UK visa in 2012,personally I felt it was past 10 years I applied for the first visa & from here say here and there ,I assumed that maybe the records wouldn't be with the UK embassy again,I didn't even know how to reconcile the different birth years ,so I was asked if that was my first passport I said yes and answered that I hadn't been denied a UK visa before, both were false statements and I was refused & stated that subsequent applications might be denied up a section liable for a ban. I accept fully the liabilities and negligence for my actions and I know right now it would be almost impossible for me to get a UK visa for a long while but I want to find out the following please. 1-in this case if I was to be put on a 10 year ban,can I plead that it should be based on the period of the first application which was refused based on normal grounds that my source of income was not verified but which I admit the details of birth were false?that as the basis for the inaccurate declarations in the second application. 2-how does the above factors affect my application for visa to other western countries and the USA? 3-I now work with the Federal government of Nigeria(Presidency),my circumstances have changed drastically from the time of my previous applications, does this have any positive for any future application? I just want to know all normal and maybe legal options open to me if any,I am not basically in a rush to visit the UK at this period but getting to a period where officially I might have to be in some western countries and would need to apply for their visas so I want to be sure not to shoot myself in the foot again and get things right and sorted out as my career might be affected at this level now. I am open to further questions and clarifications if needed. Thank you all for the good job,you are good Nigerians.Thanks. 1) The falsification of your DOB in the previous passport which was used in your first application merits a ban on its own, and if the ban had not been enforced by then, you would still get the ban the next time that you make a visa application. 2) A ban by the UK authority will make it easy for every EU country to refuse your application without thorough consideration, and it would affect your chance of visa from other embassies of UK allies. 3) I don't think your position with the federal government can make any change, these guys are not respecters of high offices: there are several high profile ministers that had been refused visas or denied entry |
