Non-teaching staffs of the Federal University of Agriculture,Abeokuta protested on tuesday at vice chancellor's lodge saying professor Oyewole should vacate his lodge if he will not grant them their requests. It was gathered that the VC offered the non-teaching staffs palliative allowance of twenty-five to thirty-five thousand naira which was rejected by the union leaders and was said to be "ridiculous". In an interview with the chairman of NASU ,comrade Odunjo I.O who spoke emphatically on the issues and the aftermath of refusal by management to resolve. " The protest is held over the anti-labour policies and program ,the administration facilitates apartheid policies". " seeing ASUU as superior member of the university community " He purcahsed ten to twelve vehicles worth one hundred and ten million naira for the principal officers which is illegal, he should return them" remarked NASU Chairman. He added that " the promotion of stagnated staffs of not less than ten years must be done immediately".National Association of Academician Technologists and Senior Staff Association of University members were also there to express their grievances towards the school management . It was gathered that the second semester resumption date will be postponed if the school management refuses to resolve the issues.
