https://oca.org/Images/About/Worship/fasting.jpg Fasting is a crucial Spiritual activity that every Christian must do! Some great men of faith such as Moses, Elijah, Daniel, Paul and Jesus Himself fasted so that they might draw closer to God ( Exodus 34:28 ; 1 Kings 19:8 ; Daniel 9:3 ; Daniel 10:2-3 ; 2 Corinthians 11:27 ; Matthew 4:2 ). There are some important Scriptures we really need to meditate on while fasting that will help us during the exercise, these Scriptures will surely guide you and give you instructions on what to do and what you should not to while fasting. God bless you as you read: 1. Matthew 6:16-18 16 "And when you fast, do not put on a sad face as the hypocrites do. They neglect their appearance so that everyone will see that they are fasting. I assure you, they have already been paid in full. 17 When you go without food, wash your face and comb your hair, 18 so that others cannot know that you are fasting - only your Father, who is unseen, will know. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you. - GNBThis particular bible verse is just an important instruction to all Christians that are fasting, Jesus Christ told us to fast in secret and not for show. If we fast to be seen by men, you have already received your reward and don't expect any other reward from God. Isn't that what you want? To be seen and praised by men? Just because you fasted? You need to carefully read verse 17 and 18 that says " When you go without food, wash your face and comb your hair, so that others cannot know that you are fasting - only your Father, who is unseen, will know. And your Father, who sees what you do in private, will reward you" , why not fast secretly? and let God reward you openly someday. Do you even noticed that Jesus said "....When you fast...." he didn't say "...if you fast...", which means that fasting should be done at least occasionally. 2. 1st Kings 21:27-29 27 When Elijah finished speaking, Ahab tore his clothes, took them off, and put on sackcloth. He refused food[fasted], slept in the sackcloth, and went about gloomy and depressed. 28 The Lord said to the prophet Elijah, 29 "Have you noticed how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Since he has done this, I will not bring disaster on him during his lifetime; it will be during his son's lifetime that I will bring disaster on Ahab's family." - GNBGod answered Ahab's prayer not only because he fasted, but mainly because he humbled himself before the Lord. When you fast, always humble yourself before God and man and God will reward you bountifully, James 4:6 says ".....God resists the proud, but gives more grace to the humble." It is very obvious that God dislike proud people, God was so pleased with king Ahab that he made some promises to him. Once again, if you claim to fast but you are full of pride, then it would have been better if you didn't fast at all than to suffer yourself with a hunger strike!! 3. Isaiah 58:3-9 3 The people ask, "Why should we fast if the Lord never notices? Why should we go without food if he pays no attention?" The Lord says to them, "The truth is that at the same time you fast, you pursue your own interests and oppress your workers. 4It's not that God never notices those people when they were fasting, but God doesn't answer their prayers. You know why? Let's check God's reply to them "The truth is that at the same time you fast, you pursue your own interests and oppress your workers. 4 Your fasting makes you violent, and you quarrel and fight. Do you think this kind of fasting will make me listen to your prayers? Now let's check verse 5 where God says " When you fast, you make yourselves suffer; you bow your heads low like a blade of grass and spread out sackcloth and ashes to lie on. Is that what you call fasting? " Obviously those people want everyone to notice them when they are fasting, they lie on sackcloth and ashes as if they were mourning and they became violent. As a merciful God, he gave them what they must do while fasting. He said " Share your food with the hungry and open your homes to the homeless poor. Give clothes to those who have nothing to wear, and do not refuse to help your own relatives. These instructions doesn't apply to only the Israelites but also to all Christians. When you do these things, God said " my favor will shine on you like the morning sun, and your wounds will be quickly healed. I will always be with you to save you; my presence will protect you on every side. 9 When you pray, I will answer you. When you call to me, I will respond. " Amen. source: http://www.gospeltoday.ga/2017/09/scriptures-that-you-must-meditate-on.html |

I've came across some certain words in the bible that i observed that many Christians don't know their real meaning including me! Untill i figured out these words and made some researches on them. ![]() These words sometimes creates confusion for a person reading the bible, with a question in their mind that "what is the meaning of this word?" . Most times, i've tried to look for these words in an english dictionary but it doesn't match with that of the bible. You also need the help of the Holy Spirit to understand scriptures more than before! You can also read How to Recieve the Holy Spirit I now have a compilation of these words together with their real meaning which i'm gonna share with you in an alphabetical order. 1. Abyss - This word is used in the new testament mostly in the book of revelations, "abyss" is a place in the depths of the earth or a bottomless pit. According to ancient Jewish teaching, the demons were imprisoned in the abyss until their final punishment. 2. Amen - This "greek" word is used almost everywhere in the new testament of the Bible, infact! all Christians say this word on a daily basis either at the end of a prayer of after a hymn. "Amen" actually has two different meanings: firstly, it means "so be it" which is the most common meaning. It is also used as a name for Jesus Christ in Revelations 3:14. 3. Beelzebul - This word is also known as Beelzebub which is a New Testament name given to the Devil as the chief of the evil spirits and demons, in other words "Beelzebul" also means "The Devil". 4. Chalcedony - "Chalcedony" is a stone which i could really refer to it as a "semi-precious" stone, it's usually milky in colour. 5. Ephod - This is a Hebrew word, although its meaning is unclear in a number of places. But it is a piece of cloth worn over the shoulders by the High Priest which had Urim and the Thummim attached to it. 6. Rabbi - Sometimes when you find this word in an english bible, you might be wondering what this is! but it's a Hebrew word which means "my teacher" in english language. Each time you see this word in the bible, you should replace it with "my teacher" for better understanding. 7. Sackcloth - It's a coarse cloth made of goats hair, this "Sackcloth" is worn as a sign of mourning or sadness. 8. Yoke - Most times, "yoke" is often mistaken for "chains" but they are different although they work together. Yoke is a heavy bar of wood which is fitted over the neck and shoulders of a person, it is used especially for prisoners in the olden days. source : http://www.gospeltoday.ga/2017/09/most-used-words-in-bible-and-what-they.html

I bought 10 two months old broilers last week. On the first and second day, they were very active untill some days ago when i noticed that a broiler is not as active as others. Then i seperated it and gave it some drugs as prescribed by a vet, but it died the next day. Since that day, 5 broilers have died within FOUR days. One died this morning and i also noticed that 3 broilers are already showing the same symptoms this morning. If they die, there will be two broilers left within five days ![]() |

According to facebook user Patooh Mbuguah Gichini who shared the photos he captioned " Why pay for a wedding gown when you have a mosquito net in the house. This Bride decided to use a mosquito net, after all, what you wear is not as important as the wedding."
