I like what you are selling bro, especially the latter. How do you make that happen?

I like to know what you know regarding Upwork and Fiverr. I follow Danny Marguiles and Lex Deville you-focused strategies, experimenting on combining them.

Do you have a ballpark discount for the review service for both platforms?

Your first question. It's through client prospecting on facebook, LinkedIn and emails. It's more advanced but pays much higher. All you have to do is position yourself correctly.

Yes I know Danny. I was trained by him grin The you focused strategy is the best. And the reason why Dan is so good is because he's a copywriter.

Lol. The 10k is just for fiverr oo. But don't worry I'll show you other things as well.

For example, you dont just create a profile and leave it. There are some research and other things that you can do to help boost your profile to some of the front pages.

And also how to spot scams or bad clients. Etc

Well I haven't had that problem though. Initially I didn't get responses because my proposals were really shitty but as I learnt to write better proposals I got better responses.

Another thing I don't just apply to jobs. If the client has less than 70 percent hire rate I don't waste my connects. I also read the requirements because some people are really stupid and you can see it from the kind of job postings they make.

Yup... Hire rate. And payment rate as well.

The key is in the profile and proposals

Yea, it is good to up your skills. About no one caring that isn't really true. When running a Nigerian account, I have had some of my proposals declined for not meeting the client's criteria which happens to be location centered.

But I have seen lots of clients, so I know there is also truth in your claim.

Normally, I send out three proposals a day, and when I am in a roll, two out of the three gets a response. When not, one or none clicks.

However, when running a Nigerian account I had to send about 4 to 6 and sometimes one to two click. One of them was a very good one sha from a Singapore firm clicked with an acemome experience.

I have experimented from both sides just to be sure. But like I said, the data I got is conflicting and that's why I need your input, your experience.

I like to move higher now.

Anytime a location is brought up, you're a copywriter so address the objection in a smart, friendly and captivating way.

And do it in such a way that it's the first or second thing he reads.

I'm glad you decided to contribute to this thread.

If this is remedied, then I am sure, I can help lots of other people too to change the narrative following the right channels.

Sure thing bro.. Sites like fiverr, I hardly use them any more.

Last time I was there in March. If you're looking for a quick stress free way then go for it.

Upwork is fairly easy too but you need more "tricks" and competence with good writing ability.

Because you want your first job to be success so you can get a good review.

Thanks bro.

Is there a guarantee I will get my first few gigs if you review my profile then?

What's the cost?

Yes... Landing a gig on fiverr is way easier than upwork.

Plus there's a guide I'll give you from a guy that has made $1,000,000 on fiverr

I got the book when I saw one of his most successful student make $1000 in 4 months.

My friend made N1,000,000 as well.

You wont make millions of naira as you start o..

But $100 - $200 is very possible on fiverr. If you put in more work, it can be $400 - $500.

To your question. It's N10k for a review plus the book I talked about. If you dont find it valuable, I'll refund you.

Anyways, as a copywriter you shouldn't spend all your time on freelance sites. Just use it to gain experience, update your portfolio and make some money for like 5 months then reduce the time you spend there.

There are companies that pay $2000, $ 5000 for just a single write up.

This sums it all up for you..... smiley

The discrimination is real, but if you know your drill ; getting jobs wouldn't be an issue.

News flash....... I've earned 40,000 USD(not naira), since early 2018..... And yes, as a Nigerian...

Thank you.

All these descriptions is pointless. The reason they say this because of their poor experiences with Nigerians.

I once applies for a job that had a similar description: "No Nigerians allowed"

But guess what? The guy hired me out of others.

On upwork, finding a QUALITY freelancer is bigger issue than landing a job.

Most times when clients come to upwork, they're only HOPING for something good. They dont have high expectations but if you can show them you're good then they'll hire you.

As you can see from the screenshot, the reason why the client added that is because of poor grammar or writing ability and not necessarily because Nigerians are scammers.

If you can address his objection and show him/her that you deliver quality work, the least he can do is grant you an interview just in case.

2019 my friend earned $24,000. I personally earned about $15K.

As a Nigerian...

- Your profile must be legit and enticing.

- Make sure proposals are thoughtful and well written.

- Your portfolio should be your most quality samples.

Etc

Well, I have the quality work covered real good, just need the assurance that working from NG location is a good call in regards to securing high paying gigs 24/7 (as needed).

About the Fiverr. I have tried my best. Can you spare few minutes of your time to review the account and two gigs I have up, maybe you will notice something I am doing wrong??

Thanks.

Nigeria location is good.

Also your description needs a bit more work.

Checked out your profile. First off, change your profile picture.

Won't say more because I charge for profile reviews.

The Fastest way to write a High-Converting Copy!

...is to NOT write it.

How?
I was discussing with a group of copywriters what the hard writing copy.

And I noticed that a lot of people are confused on how to start, how to structure the copy and how to actually write it.

But what if you can have a copy that brings in 7 figures for you, sells out your product and help you build a PROFITABLE business...
1.without actually writing the copy.
2.. without hiring a professional copywriter ...
3....and even if you suck at writing copy now .

Well, this is super possible.
In fact, it is the dirty little secret most professional copywriters use to make insane amount of money selling their product.

Let me explain.
In 2019, or so, a client ordered a sales letter for product.
It was a Vaginal Cream.
But here is the interesting part. The first copy I wrote for the product tanked – I think we got about 5 sales.
Then I went out, changed the copy – and guess, the sales skyrocked and the client was very happy.
So what did I do differently?
I Simply Used a Swipe!
It was a Gary Halbert sales letter.
I simply took it, edited just a two lines and sent it out.

Nothing else.

Guess what?
I have about 3,978 of such swipes that it took me 4 years to collect. Super powerful stuff. For any product in the world. Any niche at all.
Weather you sell physical products, email copy services, web copy, ad copy services, coaching, info products, or you are into affiliate marketing or network marketing.

3,978 sales-letter Swipe file, hommie! Hehe. If you were to print all of them, it will fill up 60 cartons, and remain.

Imagine if you had all those swipes, you will be able to push out high converting copies in just minutes, even start your own copywriting agency and charge as much as 50,000 naira for one copy.

Would you like me to give you access to it?

I have been uploading all of them to a google drive for the past three days now, It has been a hell of work.

And now it is ready
Product cost for 1st ten=> #5000 price soon to go up

call now 09052680266 and get the 3,978 sales letter swipes!

Do you get clients in your copy work?

Secondly do you know how to do web designs?

please explain further. This is really interesting.

I hope the Upwork account is Nigerian? Do you also do writing gigs on it?

On a different topic, I just created a fiver account a month ago. Do you know how I can get my first few clients? I have got nothing yet.

Yes the upwork account is Nigerian. I'm a copywriter. So I write all kinds of ad copies and emails...

Once you're good. Clients will pay you and leave a great review and come back for more jobs.

The best tips are quality work and good personal connections.

For Fiverr, it's about optimizing your profile, arranging your gigs in packages and using key words.

This is basically going to be a collaboration/partnership that has the potential to pay huge profits.

The project we'll be embarking will be for a series of landing pages.

As usual you must be GOOD at what you do. This is not a training so I want someone that actually knows his stuff very well...

You must be able to optimise the website for mobile view.

Added with experience.

You must also be able to add a payment processor to the website.

Please attach a sample of your website in the comment section.

Hi, guys!

So, I have been doing some research on Upwork about lots of things regarding freelancers, and I have come to realize certain things. One of them, which leads to my concern is that, several clients have been pissed finding out that their hired freelancer lied about their name, location, or stuff like that. Some hit up freelancers who claim they are in the UK, but it turns out that they are in India or some other region. Bummer. (Just google it)

I have also tried researching how Nigerian Upwork freelancers are fairing on the platform and the data I received is really conflicting and for the most part, discouraging. I have also come across some community threads with some Nigerians defending the platform as being supportive and fair to Nigerians, yet most of those defenders have not really been active on the platform.

So, I want to hear from you.

How is working on the platform as a Nigerian like for you, as writer, programmer, etc? Mostly writers, since you guys need to compete with those born or in native English-speaking countries?

Are you able to secure gigs like every other day, week, or month?

Can you easily up you raise there like up to 0.05/word or $50/hour and still secure great jobs whenever?

I have seen several accounts who their great days was in 2019 or 2017 and some who have two to three works per year, and some who only have two jobs on their account. I have also seen those who have been on it for years, like way back to 2014? With lots of completed projects, but in the recent years, lesser works too with some having bad pays, for those who agree to disclose the sum.

So, please, help me out here. How is it like for you operating your Nigerian Upwork account and is it worth it?

Thanks for your time,
Jet.

I charge $30/hr on upwork and being a Nigerian has zero effect.

The problem is most people dont know how to send proposals and optimize their profiles.

I'm also on fiverr too and still doing fine.

What people dont know is that Nigeria is better than so many countries.

You can start freelancing on various freelance websites.

It's very lucrative and if you know your way around, you won't need to work much.
