Christianity Etc › African Pope: Campaign Posters For Cardinal Turkson Of Ghana Emerge In The Vatic by victorcurtis(op): 6:03pm On Mar 07, 2013 |
Pope Benedict XVI’s resignation from being the head of the Catholic church was an announcement that most people of the world did not see coming. This is the first time that a Pope has ever stepped down from the position in the 660 years since it was conceived. The Vatican is in a frenzy trying to find out who will replace Benedict. Recently, there have been a plethora of posters appearing around Rome in support of bidding Cardinal Turkson of Ghana to be made the new Pope; however, campaigning and promoting oneself for the position of the Pope is shunned. Fortunately though, many believe that Turkson is not responsible for the posters. Authorities are working tirelessly to determine where the posters originated. George Weigel, an NBC Vatican expert, defended Turkson, saying “You can be absolutely sure that poor Cardinal Turkson, a true innocent, had nothing to do with this”. So was this some type of sabotage against Turkson or someone actually trying to get him some more exposure and make him a more competitive candidate? http://www.ynaija.com/african-pope-campaign-posters-for-cardinal-turkson-of-ghana-emerge-in-the-vatican-look

she got it wrong that is d real picture Yeoal: The Nollywood actress engaged in an ugly fight with a fan on twitter over a car she posted with the caption "Girlz and Their Toys!!" today. The actress talked about getting a new toy soon in a tweet she posted some days back and she decided to show her fans a picture of her new toy.
Unfortunately, she has deleted the tweets and the picture of the car because of the backlash she got.
An excited fan asked her the make of the new car and she told them it's a "2013 Honda Crosstour"
Now here is the little wahala! The car in the picture is not a Honda Crosstour . As a matter of fact it is not a Honda car. It looks like a Porsche.
Things got ugly when the fan confronted her that the picture of the car wasn't the Honda Cross Tour she claimed and that it was sourced from the Internet, so he he does not believe her. Read what happened via the tweets below.....

everybody don go indoors dose photographers dem wan sacrifice wit lion ok make dem near first [/size]o Novak: Two lions brought rush-hour traffic to a standstill in Nairobi, Kenya when they decided to have a lie down in the middle the street.
It was during the morning commute on the the edge of the Nairobi National Park that two young males appeared on the side of the road and strolled out in front of cars and trucks for a roll-around.
The African lions' antics caused tail backs as they found the busy road the perfect place to rub themselves in buffalo faeces,
Amateur South African snapper Gareth Jones was one of the drivers stuck in the traffic jam last month and decided to get out and photograph the unique scene at 6.40am.
Gareth, originally from South Africa but now living in Kenya, said: ‘I had only driven about 500 metres when the shapes of two big male lions could be seen in the road.
‘They went into a ridiculous pose, with their rear ends up in the air and their faces down over some buffalo dung. They were trying to mask their smell so they could hunt undetected.
‘They both looked like they were enjoying themselves and it was an incredible start to the day.’

Politics › Re: Polio Vaccination Staff Killed In Kano by victorcurtis(m): 2:29pm On Feb 08, 2013 |
northerners so unreasonable karl max: Twelve people, including polio vaccinators, have been killed in two shootings at health centres in northern Nigeria, witnesses have told the BBC.
In the first attack in Kano four polio vaccinators were shot dead by gunmen who drove up on a motor tricycle.
Thirty minutes later gunmen opened fire on women waiting with their children in Hotoro, outside Kano city.
In 2003, northern Nigeria's Muslim leaders opposed polio vaccinations, claiming they could cause infertility.
Kano banned motorbikes from carrying passengers after a recent attack on the prominent Muslim leader, the emir of Kano.
Residents told the BBC's Yusuf Yakasai in Kano that those injured in the shooting at the health centre there had been taken to hospital.
It is not clear if health workers were among the casualties in Hotoro, where gunmen also approached using a motor tricycle.
Analysts believe the attack last month on the emir of Kano may have been the work of the militant Islamist group Boko Haram.
The group - whose name translates as "Western education is forbidden" - says it is fighting to overthrow the government and impose Sharia.
It has been blamed for the deaths of some 1,400 people in central and northern Nigeria since 2010.
Nigeria is one of only three countries where polio is still endemic.
