Call the engineers and ask them the proximity from your house to their base station.

I will give them 7/10, the outdoor radio is on my tank stand and from the tank stand you can see there base station antenna.

I believe that's why my own experience is quite fair.

But I would advise any body to go for fiber one. It's a bit expensive but more reliable.

Check if they have coverage in your area.

I can't believe that in 2022, having a broadband internet connection is difficult in Africa.

That's good. Looks like they only have strong reception in few areas. Have you done a speed test? What's your speed like during the day?

I'll definitely call them to check this thing out, because it's really frustrating. FiberOne is not avaliable in my area. Just look at my speed, that's about 37 KB/s.

And funny enough I just paid for installation today lol.

What's the status? Has it improved?

I couldnt access my NL account for a while, thus the late response.

No improvement whatsoever. It has even gotten worse. Like, it's really bad right now, and they can't go a day without downtime.

I'm looking for alternatives because this one is just shit. I can't even stream live match. How's your experience so far?

Yh that's better if it's unlimited, and the network is good in your area

Ipnx, is in very select locations actually

I recently called them and, sadly, they're not available at location. I guess I'm stuck with Tizeti for now.

Okay, I understand. Thanks, but I want something that just works out of the box. If this Tizeti speed continues like this, I'll look into ipNX.

I just subscribed to Tizeti for home use and this thing is so slow when downloading during the day; I'm literally getting 200-300 KB/s. The only time where it gets up to 1 MB/s is in the night. I can't even stream on TV and download on phone at the same time during the day; I have to choose one.

Their coverage is probably weak in my location, or is this just how slow they're?

I like the way you feel good in your ignorance! The argument was derailed by you to suit your hullabaloo mindset about open source and closed source!

Our initial argument was processing speeds of apple devices and others. So far you have created your illusion and dragged your person into software patches, open sources and it’s likes. Thank you

You're a dumb Apple fan boy. You guys shouldn't be arguing with someone comparing the olden days iPhone 4 to recent Androids. Nothing you guys say will make sense to this man. Put an Apple logo on a pot and this man will give you is last card to own it.

Business / Nigeria’s Enaira CBDC Website Goes Live by victorix(m): 8:07pm On Sep 29, 2021

The Central Bank of Nigeria has launched a website detailing its CBDC, the eNaira. Stating that the eNaira is both a medium of exchange and a store of value, the CBDC will be used in retail payments and remittances. Citizens can begin right away by downloading the app, which also features bank account integration.

The CBDC itself will launch on Oct 1, following the bank’s decision to send documents to local banks on the digital currency. The document describes the role that banks will play in the change. The asset will, of course, be legal tender and have a non-interest-bearing status. Customer and value-based transactions will be a maximum limit.

The central bank declares that the eNaira will boost financial inclusion, as well as local and international trade. The website features a section that shows a list of available merchants, though it is empty at the moment. Among the other features are a unified payment system, an account management system, contactless payments, and complete peer-to-peer payments.

Nigeria first announced a CBDC initiative in June 2021. The country has been cracking down on the cryptocurrency market, which is highly popular both in the region and the continent in general. It joins over 80 others seeking to launch, or at least research, their own CBDCs.

Nigeria’s tech focus showing demonstrable results

Nigeria is one of the most tech-savvy nations in Africa, with proof in the fact that its citizens are among the most active in the crypto market. It even has one of the highest rates of adoption of cryptocurrency, with 31.9% owning some cryptocurrency or the other.

It hasn’t all been smooth, however. The Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission froze crypto proposals after a central bank ruling that asked for all crypto accounts to be closed. However, Nigeria’s VP then asked the central bank to regulate crypto as opposed to banning it.

The October launch will serve as a pilot for the CBDC, with a full launch expected by the end of 2021. The asset runs on the Hyperledger Fabric. The pilot will be one of many launched by governments in the months to come, all of whom are eager to bring in the benefits of blockchain technology.

true but many would have been more successful back home. Go there and seek opportunity, then come back home and apply it and you'd never regret it. I know friends who are professionals in the USA doing odd jobs. I remember my friend who was a chartered accountant before relocating. He's merely feeding from hand to mouth now.

I understand what you're trying to say. Again, where's the job here in Nigeria? Ain't people also suffering and doing menial jobs, too? Hell, the minimum wage in Nigeria is $50, $50!!! Doesn't that sound absurd to you? How did you know many would be better off back home and not worse off? Again, I say life doesn't have a single path. And it's good to try options.

I wouldn't refuse any chance or scholarship for a postgraduate degree in a European country. That'll be a perfect opportunity to change my position. See, I finished service not too long ago and most of the people I know who finished with me are jobless. Some has started selling stuff like clothes, bags, shoes on what's app and Facebook. The only thing that's saving me right now is freelancing. Tell me, how can I and others refuse the opportunity or option to immigrate for economic reasons?

The struggle is real!

I'm on oyedepo's side on this. I took same bold step but never regretted it. I'm an embodiment of God's favour and grace. Shebi we go the America sef, but I chose to return home. I don't know if the highest earning Nigerian living overseas can match me in revenues monthly. I give them money each time I enter America. Ordinary 100 dollar is like giving them millions.

It worked for you doesn't mean it'll work for others. They're a lot successful and wealthy Nigerians abroad. Everyone has different path in life. But wait, can't you see the level of poverty and suffering in this country? You can't look down upon or blame anyone looking for better opportunities.

I don't partake in airdrops..I am not a sheep

Well, it's not only shitcoins that gets airdropped. If you've gone deep into this crypto stuff, you'll know what I meant. Uniswap, the largest decentralized exchange on Ethereum did an airdrop when they launched their DeFi token for liquidity providers. Personally, this year, I've gotten over $2000 from airdrops alone. And I don't mean shitcoins or those where they'll ask people do to taskes on Twitter or telegram. Most shitcoins airdrops has no value or liquidity so you can't really swap or make a trade with them.

Central bank controlled digital currency = centralization. In crypto, we aim for a decentralized currency void of total control of any organization. In a broader view, this is a win for cryptocurrency. It'll definitely lead to more adoption and getting people introduced to blockchain tecnology.

The Central Bank of Nigeria will start the pilot of its central bank digital currency, which runs on the Hyperledger Fabric blockchain, on October 1.

Nigeria to pilot central bank digital currency in OctoberNEWS
For much of 2021, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been in the headlines for its anti-cryptocurrency measures. Yet, the institution has this week redoubled its investment and research into crypto’s underlying technology, blockchain, and has set a clear date for the pilot scheme of its blockchain-powered central bank digital currency (CBDC).

On October 1, CBN will reportedly launch a pilot scheme for “GIANT” – a CBDC project in development since 2017, which runs on the open-source blockchain Hyperledger Fabric.

Rakiya Mohammed, CBN’s information technology director, said the bank might conduct a proof-of-concept before the end of 2021. In a webinar this week with stakeholders, CBN representatives reportedly emphasized that the institution could not afford to be left behind while the vast majority of central banks worldwide make headway with their own CBDC research and development.

Among the motivations cited for the project, CBN has noted that a CBDC would be beneficial for macro and growth management, cross-border trade support, and financial inclusion.

Potential benefits could still extend further, in CBN’s view, ranging from higher efficiency for payments and remittances, better monetary policy transmission, improved tax revenue collection, and the facilitation of targeted social policies.

Alongside CBN, the Bank of Ghana has this summer been moving rapidly towards the pilot stage for its own central bank digital currency. The country has positioned itself as a pioneer in CBDC development on the continent and considers central bank-issued digital currencies to be superior to and less risky than decentralized cryptocurrencies.

However, Ghana’s wariness of crypto is overshadowed by Nigeria’s more aggressive measures, which include a ban on commercial banks and other financial institutions from servicing crypto exchanges. Despite this, Bitcoin adoption and BTC peer-to-peer trades have remained high in the country

What are your thoughts on this development?
