Like those central/ Eastern African countries are any better. Most west Africa countries are better than Dr Congo and uganda by far. All the rest seem better because of abundant resources which is not even well distributed across it's populace like Angola, Gabon and equatorial guinea. It's not about religion, it's the mindset. Arabic gulf countries are among the richest in the world today because of their visionary leaders despite being monarchies. The Philippines despite being predominantly Christian, is the least developed country in the south east Asia region behind Muslim countries like Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia. Africa needs to change it's mentality have viable plans for the future just like china did.

This scenario is normal if the pirt is not frequently used. If the entire Eastern businesses starts using Eastern ports, the cost will go down naturally. This is why people advocate for igbos businessmen to invest massively in the east and watch Lagos lose most of it's economic ground.
