Don't feel bad, God who searches the hearts of all, knows how you feel.
But you can also have your quiet time when you want to retire to bed, by then it will be very quiet, just take 10-15 minutes, you can get a crucifix, the diamond type, switch off your light and it will shine in the darkness, look on to it, in the silent of the night, it helps you to meditate as if you are in d blessed sacrament. Try it. The Lord is our strength.

I don't think weekday masses have ever been a problem for, well that was in Lagos not here. I always attend evening mass at Falomo on my way home, and if i hppen to work late, i'll leave for mass and return back to the office after mass.

Sometimes, my colleagues and i would even attend the mid-day mass before doing lunch.
The holy spirit opened my heart to the essence of daily masses through a friend back in school then, since then i've never underestimated daily masses

it pains me so much that i can't join in the communal devotion in honour of the Holy Spirit and Mother Mary.
sometimes i wish i didn't have to work; i feel i'm chasing after vanities and allowing little room for the more essential things of this life.
but then i remember our Lord Jesus telling us that our work, school, etc. are little alters where we could adore Him and shower Him with the love He so desires from us.
and we are told also that 'to work is to pray'

Lord, i all i ask of thee is the grace to do your will! Sometimes, it could be confusing!

hey ~lady~, what can i say to you? the glory of God surely will be revealed in all of these. sure i can take time out to
tell you my personal travails within the last two years: i've had to battle homelessness in lagos since last year not just for me but also for my mum and siblings. landlords forcing rent up to the skies made us resolve to get a place of our own and meanwhile where do we live? i moved out of my abode and in with my mum in march and concentrated all efforts on the building. at every point in time we kept praying (especially to the sacred heart of Jesus and immaculate heart of Mary).

Now the turning point:
1. i miraculously got a new and better job this month (thanks to some angels on this thread ) ,
2. we are moving into the new house tomorrow, and
3. the greatest of all is that everybody is hale and hearty, what with all the work (manual and otherwise) that we all did through the construction (you need to see and feel my palms and pray i don't ever slap you )

so, sis all's well. it is all "ad majorem gloriam Dei" --  "to the greater glory of God " as St ignatius of loyola used to say.

and finally, it is okay to cry

i use to 'imagine' sayn more than 5 decades of the rosary daily
then Carl helped me out,
thesedays when eva im on the road ( which is very often), i say the rosary
to and from work,school, friends house, where eva
it helps to kip my mind sane. . .
u can try that, sure helped me
it has become part of me now and i say at least 20 decades of the rosary everyday

kamsi, i think what you need to do is to get the rosary tape. Play it and pray along with the priest and sister! It will serve as a perfect praying partner! I use the tape most of the time and it's wonderful!

it is also online, great fun too since they also have discussions along the line

viee, your parish not allowing the booking of mass is quite unbelievable, i think it's done at the beggining of the year. meaning if you don't book it then, you won't have the opportunity to do so again, i know quite a number of parishes that operate such policy. well i don't think it's a good one, but then the parish priest should know better!

Okay we've been talking about the guys now, what about our ladies, there should've been a thread dedicated to them a long time ago, but as you know we are all trying to curtail thread duplicity these days

Even more so, the olympic football event is structured from group A to H, with four teams per group. A-D is for the brothers and E to H is for the sisters. Our Naija sisters happen to be in group F, playing their games in Shenyang, and they have as group contenders heavyweights such as both teams that played the final of the last women championship, Brazil who are the current world champions and Germany, losing finalists in the same competition. Korea remains the team that we can hope for a full three points as they have lost to Nigerian opposition before, if we can put up a disciplined game, then we can hope to steal at least a point from either of the other two teams (who knows, the girls might even create an upset win).

It is very obvious that our ladies are the underdogs in this here group, but i believe that underdogs still can bite. it's gonno be a herculean task sha, but i expect the girls to have matured in the game at least to secure a last eight slot, from there like I always say, anything can happen.

The womens football event has no age limitation in the olympics, at least for now.

After much debate had taken place,
