Thanks for your response. Yes I agree with you that every girl should be with a guy because she loves him, this should be d reality but is it obtainable ? The truth is that Love don't pay bills. It all sums down to financial security. "He may never be more than that " that's why I mentioned in my previous post about marrying someone with good prospect. The thing is it is sweet when you are part of the history...look at Annie..she stood with him.. When it was time for him to make his decision, he stayed glued with her. She was part of the history and that's why she's qualified to be part of the story. Staying by your man may be the strength he needs at that moment. If you are not part of the history, you may not be part of the story.

You mentioned standard and I wonder what your standard is .. Most times, nature don't give us what we want, it only gives options that are close. Its nice talking to you. You are smart and I like that.
Awwn, thank you very much. The thing is that I won’t get married until I am able to spoil myself. I love luxury but that doesn’t mean I won’t marry a guy with a prospect but that prospect has to be convincing. tongue

why do you think he won't make it in the first place ? Well at d moment , I think guys are getting tired of lazy, poor and fake girls who have nothing to offer but looking for a made guy to feed them, clothe them and give them a good life. If you check the news lately you will probably read more of hardworking women making it big and men don't really cherish the hawks that wants to prey on what they work for ... Its as simple as that. The new phrase is that...you better be bringing something to the table other than your body ...If a man tells you he will spoil you don't be too happy about the good spoil (fun, shoppings and all that) ..in that same statement is d bad spoil. So I think as a woman, its better you get your hands busy and earn something for a living too. And about believing in him, Don't, just watch as a lucky girl do that, stand by him and stand by his side when he's fully made and watch as you sit and watch d made man you failed to believe in glow tomorrow.
I don’t have a problem with any girl’s choice. I have my standard and I won’t compromise it for any reason. What I am saying here is the way you keep saying, believe him and enjoy the reward tomorrow. The truth is that he may never be more than that and also he could be super rich today. Every girl should be with a guy because she loves him and not some take about being with him in his sufferings then enjoy later.

they are not hard to get but the demand for them is high which makes most of them players..they are honey.sweet on the lips of everyone and guys in this bracket, some are married (unless you want to snatch one, everybody wants them. So instead of making these your criteria and waste away your time and life looking for a general husband while you make yourself victims of players voluntarily, you could as well look at an average guy with good prospects and believe in him and be part of his success story in no time. Men are not even dating poor girls again. They want their match too so you could as well get a job and make your money.
Let’s just say he doesn’t make it or he takes him 40 years, what would you suggest? By the way, why do you guys like saying believe in him. Every man for himself

our dear sister bianca, kindly tell this honourable blog male members what you want in your man, Note** Remove all those qualities that are hard to get like he must be very rich, have a car, propose with an expensive ring and all that. Our women of nowadays end up marrying a general husband. If he has an SUV, Very rich, cute, tall, and all that, you think you are the only one that wants good thing Abi, no be you alone need tyat kind man, these days, we need ladies that are ready to marry civil servants, who knows where the snakes & monkeys will start their next operation. Marry a guy with a good heart and with a good job. If you need to marry a guy because of money then you should get a job.
Why are those qualities hard to get?

So neither Agbani Darego nor Oluchi count in this?
It is the nameless girls in those adverts you remember.

And funny, most girls I have met prefer dark guys.

Please, don't get me wrong o. I am not a light skin hater. But women generally don't even know what good skin is because they are so fixated on light skins.
Me I see skin types, not colour. I know normal, oily and dry skin. I love people that have normal skin and I think people should work towards making their's normal. If you eat good food with a lot of fruits and vegetables and spend most of your day in an air conditioned place, in a year, the difference will show.
Have you paid attention to how those banker guys generally have heallthy looking skins even when they are dark?

Every thing is just cream, cream, cream. Crowd mentality, laziness and ignorance are the problem.
WHy are you sounding rude?
I seriously don’t understand this tone. I don’t know if you are trying to correct me or something. I am a dark lady myself, just for the record. I am tired already of repeating this. Pls read my quotes to ndubueze92. He gets me. It’s fine, everyone to their opinions. Okay.

100% truth. Really, I don't get it! This is Africa, a tropic. I don't understand why people should indulge in bleaching knowing fully well that it isn't going to be conducive for them with regards to the weather and the environment.
Again whatever rocks their boat. Everyone should do whatever they want. Life is too short to be unhappy grin

I think my tone was passionate, not rude. It's not my style. You can look at my posts before now.

I don't know about "most Nigerian men" sha. I have a clique of maybe eight friends and I have never heard a single one of them say "I would prefer a fair girl over a dark one". But I know their preferences in the eternal breast vs booty war. I know the ones who prefer bobby to backyard and the ones who are neutral. Some of them are married while some are single. All the five married ones are married to dark girls.

Women are always sure of what men like. They listen to their fellow women. They should listen to men. That belief in the society that light skin is better is promoted mostly by women.
It’s going to take a while for that belief to be ancient. When I was a teenager, I used to be attracted to guys with lighter skin colour(because honestly I thought they were better looking and Black was ugly) and I am dark, but as I grew older, I realized it was just me being shallow. From watching adverts like Lux soap, delta soap, of course that was enough to make Nigerian women bleach. Until the society starts being fair in what they portray, Nigeria won’t be far from having an all white women nation. I believe you understand my point now.

I don't agree that it is men that make women bleach. Many women on their own like light skin. They need to take responsibility for their choice.
You know why I say this? Women are bleaching their babies now. Are they doing that for men also? The new one they reported some days ago is that women now take pills to bleach their unborn children.
They should take responsibility for their actions. There is nothing wrong in admitting that you like fair skin.

I personally don't see colour, but I see booty anywhere it is hiding, no matter the colour. And I will choose it over color anyday, if looks were all that matterd. There are so many things that can attract men to you that women would never do. For one, agree to date guys who are broker and see if you won't be spoilt for choice. But women struggle to do so. Men would love it. But ladies don't. Why? Because you love your fair skin but you don't like brokeness.
It is your right to reject and embrace anything. Don't put it on anybody's head.
Hey, I am not trying to say that men are responsible for women bleaching. I was just trying to pass a point. The truth is that most Nigerian guys find dark girls gorgeous but they would prefer a lighter skin, and there is nothing wrong with that either. The thing is that most of these girls that bleach have low self esteem or they feel that they are ugly with that skin colour.
So where do they get that feeling from? The society. Pls I communicated my point without being rude, I’ll suggest you do the same also. Thanks
