Eggcelent:
Ayodapoemmanuel. From which hatchery were your pullets sourced? Most reputable hatcheries give Mareks vaccine before selling out the DOCs; a second dose is just for double guarantee. However, it is still very important for you to know from which hatchery your birds were sourced. It influences your management practices. Viktor556. Your birds have issues with NCD. Ciprovet is a broad spectrum antibiotics which has been taking care of the secondary infections in your flock. However, the primary issue is NCD. I will advice you administer Lasota/Komorov 5 days after completing dosage of Ciprovet. abidecz. Same thing applies to you, sir. In addition, the "low" daily eggs output you're seeing is a result of poor uniformity in your flock. Others will start laying when they attain the required weight of 1.5kg. Are you giving them layers or growers mash? There are a few things you can do to stimulate production but, I won't advise you to do those now. Administer Lasota days after giving antibiotics & feed them generously.
alright then. I'll administer Lasota. Though the eggs have been steadily increasing. Yesterday was 25, today 30 with 2 soft-shelled found on each day. The population of my stock is 93. This is their 3rd week into laying. Are the numbers fair?

Today is the second day of administering Ciprovet. I noticed no green poo and harvested 24 eggs, none shell-less.

This morning I noticed my layers droppings are bright green. While there, a bird from a section of cage where I discovered a rather deep green dropping laid a shell-less egg.

Please, what medication should I place them on?

Only 3 where laying out of the 3 one will pause for a day and lay second day what can I do boss
I'm no boss @abidecz. This is my first stint with layers. I'm a Number 1 learner. I've seen 2 shelless egg today out of 8eggs. Though I think it's just birds just laying their first egg. They are on their 2nd day of calcium. They are 95 in number.

anidecz. Tell us more about your flock; are the birds just coming into lay; have you had mortalities in recent days? what is the colour of the waste; when last did you administer Lasota? what is the calcium content of the feed?
hi eggcelent. I have the same problem. My birds also started laying at 19 weeks. I administered LaSota at the 4th week( the vaccination plan I got from my vet). Yes, they are just coming to lay. They started last week. No mortalities. The color of the waste is the normal Grey with a white top.
I started them on calcium supplements yesterday cuz out of 15eggs I picked, 4 were shelless.

So I have 9 local turkeys, 12 weeks old , still in cage though but I plan to make them semi-intensive in coming weeks. Now the question is I changed their diet to to grower feed at the 6th week but their size hasn't been impressive ever since. I'm looking at changing their diet to finisher feed. Won't it affect the female laying since I want them to lay?

It doesn't matter where the tips are from. Ur drilled holes are either too big or your water pressure is too high. Post a picture of your water supply line to the nipple pipe to me, if u drilled the whole what size of drill bit did u use, I may be able to advice if u still need one. (idyette@gmail.com)
Alright. Mail coming right up.

3bags or 70kg per week? You might be grossly
Under feeding them.
Although, it depends on their age.
I stand to be corrected thou.
well, it depends on the age of the broilers like you've rightly pointed out
2l on whether the birds have already attained the farmers desired size for his/her target market and just using a maintenance ration.

Fellow gamers! I'm hoping to buy a new laptop good enough to run PES 16, FIFA 16 etc. I also have a very tight budget.

Which make would you rather I buy. The price will also be appreciated. Thanks.

I need help guys! I just installed tip drinkers in my battery cage and many of the nipples won't stop dripping water. I thought it's only supposed to drip water only if birds peck on it.

Comments/opinions will be appreciated. Thanks.

I got into my pen few minutes ago and noticed a lot of the smelly brown pasty poop on the litter. I also discovered a weak bird with rather too much water in its crop. Are these an indication/s of something? They are 10 weeks old this week.

Before you restock. Kind wash your pen and use quality disinfectant wait for about 7 days or so. Most important follow vaccination routine closely. Is very important.
ok. I already bought formaldehyde, izal and chloroform. But since I still have 60+ left and with only one pen in my farm, the plan is to demarcate the pen and fumigate the halved part.
