"Above average in the accountability trait" How? When? where?? After the million dollar webcam scam and the ravaging of Lagos states finances with Tinubu? Ejikwa m ogu oo

@ Topic,

Crooked Fashola and that fraud of a pastor Osinbande should enjoy the ride while it lasts.. They are not dealing with dafts.. Two clowns flying down to Aba for them media drama. .. That is all Osibande could do after sharing monies from the federal government loan scheme without any provisions for the SE. . While fashola is concentrating all his budgetary allocations on projects outside the east and will only visit the east to take pictures for the media as usual.. Very petty tribalists.
Broda, if we look everything with 20/20 hindsight, you have some points up there; but in a mediocre leadership quality like we practice in Nigeria, Gov. Fashola was up there. Am just saying its on this notion that Gov. fashola was chosen and I don't think he is right for the job.

I don't think this job is Gov. Fashola's strength. I know he was selected because he is above average in the accountability trait, but this is a job of technical know how and not for a learner, even though we learn everyday. Any way, may God bless him with wisdom because outside of the vice president, this is the most needed sector in Nigeria as of yesterday and today.

Bring back our Nigeria. Which Nigeria are they bringing backhuh Is it the Nigeria of dictatorship or the fake propped up Nigeria? Now that Buhari is not propping up the naira, we are seeing the real Nigeria. We are all at fault including and especially the leadership.

We need to protest about many things in Nigeria. We need to protest about our universities; about our light/power issues; about our water supply and distributions; about our drainage system; about corruption on all levels; about tribalism and religious intolerance; about land reform; about civil servant pay and national work place treatments; about our roads, airports, and rails; about building codes to avert unnecessary fires in the markets - simple sprinkler systems can help that; etc

I have a problem with bring back our Nigeria as if it was great before. I reject former Nigeria as much as I reject current Nigeria. It should have been "improve our Nigeria". That is what happens when an illiterate leads a crowd. Enough mistakes with no thorough thoughts on issues. Soon e go promote hin album from this notice me attention. If he really mean am, God bless; but your message is still ignorant.

An unnecessary gragra by the pastor; Will all of them speak at the same time? Na choir you dey carry cum court?. If you incite violence on a massive scale like that, you would be held accountable.
President Buhari is smart after all but not perfect. He is a dent to corruption at the top in Nigeria, and a Great Nigerian. There is a fine line between freedom of speech and direct and potential threat. The Nigerian people, the Presidency, the senate, the house, and the governors should make that law humane and clear to everyone without bias to anyone.

We have many ways we can clarify laws about incitement of violence: Ban treasonable statements on radio, church, mosque, television, newspaper, schools, neighborhoods, internet, etc or we can choose location and timelines when these actions of free willing speeches are acceptable, Or we can do counters eg if you make threatening comments once or twice or thrice - then what happens. We cannot have inciting comments during elections for instance. Or do we just agree that anyone can say what they want as long as they pay taxes and are not destructive to humans or property.

Anyway the government needs to be watchful for such extreme comments that threaten our unity. This is a hard law to win or loose in court due to many distortions in the law. This is why the government might release Nnamdi Kanu and should release him if this pastor is not found guilty. They should also set free el zakay, tompolo, and others. Fulani herdsmen are faceless and attack sporadically - so technology needs to be used like heat sensor video capturing to disrupt and study their operation. Let it be neutral, also this intolerance should swiftly extend to any oba, chiefs, sultan, emir, imam, school, etc.

Align with Russia you say?And you think the US will allow a close door neighbour to fall into Russian control? cheesy
The President of Mexico knows the consequences of that and he wouldn't dare. The US would rather invade Mexico and seize the rest of the country like they got Texas. Afterall, Russia already did it with Ukraine.
Cuba tried such gamble with the soviets and we know how it all ended.
Bro, if Mexico apply knowledge, they can do it. Get a couple of know hows from those countries and also get land armies. The US will wake up a year and half later and find out say Mexico dun align considerably. I hope it is not all the way aligned but enough to spike the trump administration to spend resources. All of latin america or say most can also do the same underground style. Trumps arrogance will make america suffer the loss of allies. All that UN ambassador talk about taking names will surely back fire. You want protectionism, other people will play protectionism too. We need to do better for ourselves, We need to create fair rules for all and stick to our principles. Only then can my 25% hope for nigeria increase. This lady could have been too stressed out or had some mental issues. My sympathies to the lady and the ignorance displayed among those sadist.

I feel for the guy but i don't blame the people. Enough is enough. They are tired, no one can say they haven't tried in the past. How many people them country fit bear. Trump is teaching everyone to protect them own. Is only africa that will wait for you to tell it that what she's standing on is food(resources) that it was begging you for, still wait for you to cook it and dish it for them. A beggar continent. Tufiakwa.

The one major reason we don't have constant power supply is because the oyibos and asians are busy in their own houses and have not found a way to teleport power supply better than generators. So, since they are busy, we have no choice than to wait for them to finish their development.
Celebrities › Re: 2face To Lead A Nationwide Protest Against The Federal Government (Pics) by vioment: 10:30am On Jan 25, 2017
There is nothing wrong with 2baba's intentions. I have a difference in opinion in regards to the expected result of his intended action. It is always the same thing they say, oh it will be okay, we will do this and that - the leaders am talking about. Yet, tomorrow they will go and buy brand new cars for the chiefs nationwide, or go and build stupid satellites on credit when there is no reliable power supply to even see what the satellites are doing in Nigeria, so they go to china to see what the satellites are doing. Instead of renovating old schools, they will go and build new ones; Nobody pays taxes on their lands, so its limited lands for development; People are deceived that Nigeria can be food sufficient, which i hundred percent disagree because the land mass to people ratio mass is mathematically impossible; Our educational system especially universities is a pure joke, that's why nobody trust 90% of Nigerian degrees even in Nigeria.
I supported President Buhari, not because I thought he was economically savvy but because I thought he was the only one that could expose the thieving elites; which he is doing. So they create instability in the country to divert attention and some foolish masses follow and support them. We have to begin with the LGAs, then governors, house, senate, and the president. In various LGA, their focus is on what the chiefs or obas say and do. And every Nigerian knows that once you give a Nigerian opportunity for lies, the truth will forever be hidden. This is why LGA chairmen/women deflect responsibilities.

This is why you shouldn't have impromptu markets everywhere.

Proper centers of retail such as malls and centralized markets are a necessity so that the authorities and the consumer can keep abreast of the vendors and the quality of their products. At least that way you can ensure that vendors are licensed and have something to lose by selling sub-standard goods.
One of the most underrated comment in this thread. 100
Foreign Affairs › Re: Heavy Security At Presidential Palace Gambia As Barrow Returns Home Tomorrow by vioment:
I just think the new president should come in quickly (no time for pageantry), pick his core cabinets, juggle the security services and get back to business in six weeks. After that Gambia needs to start paying for the troops there, but for now until 2 months later max ecowas can bare the cost. Moreover, who trust African troops for long period of times in a peaceful environment?, Some allegations will soon start coming out alleging extortion, rape, bullying, disrespect, etc. We need to clean up our optics in Africa. These are our brothers and sisters, we just came to save them from a few hostile idiots, that's it nothing more.

I think the troop levels need to be reduced drastically, do two or three air patrols everyday for 6 weeks. Practice, practice, practice, improve relations, stay on point, focus and be professional, stay away from people, let there be normalcy. There should be more troops in Senegal practicing and on stand by for emergency than in Gambia after this week.

Africa especially west africa needs to be border less. Unlock our collective potential.

By the way, I don't think Gambia is majestic infra structurally but I notice its cleanliness even more cleaner than Nigeria. Big Ups Gambia. We ride with you.

Politics › Re: Give Reasonable Suggestions On How Nigeria Can Be Great Again by vioment: 5:15am On Jan 21, 2017
Firstly, let us not deceive ourselves saying nigeria was great. That is a lol. Nigeria just had potential right after independence.

A lot of red tape removal or hindrance removal . To do a structured business in Nigeria is very difficult, because there are red tapes that can be formed out of the blue to collect bribes from the employer and employees; these bills add up. Generator and its operation cost add up, security awareness cost and interference to business operations.

There are lots of hindrances:
*Quality education or lack of proper education is a force of hindrance, be it the effects of cultism or low moral for the lecturers which hinders our possibilities;
*Religion intolerance and religion inconsideration are forces of hindrance, someone cannot go and build a church/mosque in a neighborhood full of people without considering the effects it has on others for whatever reasons. We have to have rules governing religion like el rufai is doing but more fair eg banning churches/mosques from residential neighborhoods even if there is a school around there; punishing religion driven crimes harshly.
*Traditional rulers nation wide regardless of history should be reduced well well. You can't have two captains lead in our case.
*Land reform needs to be implemented; people need to pay taxes on their lands for the development of the neighborhoods.
*A new constitution and many more needs to be updated.
Foreign Affairs › Re: US President-elect Donald Trump's Agenda by vioment: 2:42am On Jan 20, 2017
Who knows??! From my thoughts of assessment, Donald Trump is not good for America, talk less of the rest of the world. He is too egoistic to be pragmatic; He has a real racial rage for some reasons best known to him; He is too selfish to lead selflessly; He confuses greediness for happiness; He doesn't have the finesse of leading a dynamic complex country like the USA even though he won. One of the reasons he won is due to the openness of his racial views; So you decide if you are in his team or not. I think he's ideology architecture from the outside looking in are: America - Whites(including their nations or interest) - his business and family - him(begin from here for his point of view).

He can make waves by doing what I think should happen now that he's still acting crazy: he can devalue the dollar by a quarter and relax on protectionism. It will boost the exportation and manufacturing. The rest of the world is not doing any better, they are not producing world changing technologies in a massive fashion, not that much world solutions for climate change, job production, etc.

Is so much thoughts that goes against his strategy. Russia, china, Iran, mexico, Guatemala, etc can begin working together , so even after his presidency they will still want to be an alliance for the unknown. This is a possibility now more than ever. It is because of loyalty that pres. Obama warmed up relations with Cuba. Africa is mostly aligned with china economically which can go military for the most part. The USA have helped many nations in a good way more than russia and china.

God bless the united states of America and teach Donald Trump wisdom.
God bless Nigeria and guide us with wisdom during these ruff times.

Politics › Re: Buhari Reacts To Military Jet Strike On Civilian Community by vioment: 4:52am On Jan 18, 2017
As much as I know that mistakes happen, i cannot help but blame the airforce and the aircrew that flew this mission for negligence. It is well known to attentive people that our forces lack discipline, or should i say proper training, i can't tell for this situation but it is one of the two.
How can they be destroying targets from the air in residential neighborhoods within our national confines, when it is not an all out national war. They fire at petrol tanks near rivers, wells, hospitals, schools, etc. A place the ground forces have already surrounded. Disturbances in the north and militancy in the south lack one essential thing - a continuous good and consistent intelligence gathering. No outside forces can do it for us, We know our people better and can simulate better, there have to be more money rewards for good intelligence and more persecution or death for the bad people.

We should be employing technologies like listening devices from the air and land. We should really start looking at long term intelligence gathering like time periods of 6 months to a year, and also a lot of video surveillance. Things like this break into the confidence of evil doers and boost the confidence in the peaceful parts of the populace. But no we are waiting for oyibo to give us a structural plan, because our schools that could have taught the foundations of these technologies are infested with cultism and corruption, and then the light to study for these things are not there. You can see how these structural defects come back to haunt us. It makes us nationally look stupid within ourselves even when we don't consider outsiders. Nigeria needs to grow up because our stupidity is nearing an all time level.
