They are accountable to those who elected them so stop all these nonsense. What do you expect them to do. Sit idly by and watch people drop like flies then folks like you will then criticise them for inaction. There is no nation that does not have public restrictions as a tool to combat this plague. And apart from vaccination there is no other way to combat Covid. And if we carry on nonchalantly the way we do we will certainly be the last nation to come out of this pandemic and that spells total economic catastrophe.

If Nigerians don't want restrictions then they must be Covid compliant in hygiene, sanitation, and personal protection which the majority of Nigerians are not. Government will step in to address irresponsibility.

Sweden did not go on lockdown. And many others. Are they worse off than those who did

Show me one country that has become completely COVID free as a result of lockdown.

If we could drop like flies, our casualty figure may have been in millions by now... embarassed

Till recently,I refused to believe that deaths are being under-reported.
However, just in the last couple weeks, I have seen multiple individuals who died following a surprisingly similar sequence: they had "malaria" rapidly followed by a stubborn cough, and then breathing difficulties that meant that at least two of them were on oxygen by the time they died. They died one or two weeks after their "malaria" started.

Most shocking of all? As far as I know, none of the cases were tested for covid. INCREDIBLE.

Those 4 or so deaths are missing from the NCDC reports, and I'm willing to bet that at least some of them had covid.

I don't support imposing a new lockdown, mind you.

Yet it can NEVER be like what we have abroad. Don't forget not all deaths abroad are also captured... embarassed

The death rate is simply being under reported

They don't tell a blind man that it is raining.

Sure, all deaths may not be captured.

Take for instance a church/mosque/school/market.

If there are huge casualties in any of these places due to COVID 19 you will notice it.

Nobody will tell people to stay back home. For now, it's still a couple cases here and there... embarassed I lost someone too... embarassed

If the market woman loses her colleagues left, right and center, she will automatically go on self-imposed lockdown.

I have met someone who said he interacted with a person that was almost dying of COVID 19 - slept together, ate etc and he NEVER as much as tested positive to the virus not to even talk about falling sick.

These PTF bastards are just bent of having us go back to lockdown.

Is locking down Lagos and Abuja not equivalent to nationwide lockdown

Despite the increase in the number of cases, the number of deaths has remained low to the glory of God.

So what's all the fuss about

It is now clear that SW has become the most unsafe region in Nigeria. It has become worse than middle belt and that's quite sad to say the least.

Meanwhile, they now have fulani villages in Oyo state shocked shocked the conquest is really far gone than most people thought!

It's not true. It's only in your imagination.

Igbos support Amotekun and Sunday Igboho against herdsmen atrocities.

If Southwest fights Fulani herdsmen, it gives the Easterners the leverage to stand their feet knowing that the Federal government can't fight two fronts but negotiate a settlement where everyone in Nigeria has equal protection and Farmers don't live at the mercy of herdsmen.

It's like you have not been on Nairaland since the past 2 weeks... embarassed

Can you see how evil you are? What is happening? That Nigerian Army cannot face a rag-tag militia and Bandits?
Do Army observe curfew? Army battalions showcasing their might on civilians that were willing to save their soldiers from death. Can you imagine?

I am not evil. But this was what pigidiotts were anticipating will happen in the SW in the wake of Sunday Igboho and Akeredolu ultimatums to Fulanis in the SW.

Ika was under Bini empire imperial control some while ago too.

Wrong!

Rather Agbor not Ika started out as a Yoruba/Bini town before they came under massive Igbo influence due to the location of the town - proximity to Igbo land.
