After contacting the visa office they told me a decision has been made. After plenty probing and email then i got this reply .............................................. SITEL UPDATE Dear customer Thank you for your SITEL enquiry Your visa application is still currently being processed. I have escalated this to the appropriate entry clearance officer. This means you will receive your visa decision and passport as soon as possible. If you require your passport and/or documents back immediately for travel or emergency, you are free to withdraw by making a request via the Visits.UKCustomerEnquiries@fco.gov.uk email. Please note however that this will cancel the application and we will be unable to refund you. If your passport is currently in a red list country, please enquire with your VAC regarding possible temporarily withdrawal of your passport. Please note some red list VACs are currently closed, passports will not be able to be submitted or retrieved until the ban is lifted. Kind Regards UK VISA AND IMMIGRATION (UKVI) ......--------------------------------------------------- Please how can i ask for my passport without cancelling my application. Someone/anyone/everyone help. User needs his passport ASAP and confused. |
Chiall:Hello, please did you get the Netherland transit visa from Nigeria? please how can i go about it, where is their consulate office and how long did the application process take? |
royalmu:Thanks for your response. i got to the VAC where I applied in Abuja and they told me my passport has not arrived. fast forward, i wrote back to ukvi to explain the meaning of my application has been closed and they replied to say it means a decision has been made. My question, if decision has been made and i am yet to receive a refusal email does this mean good news in anticipation? |
Gentlesoul3268:Visitors visa. But i now had a job that requires a transit visa. So i also asked if i can use the visitors visa if given as a transit and that was the reply... shocked tjho |
Hello All, i contacted the embassy for my visa application and this was their response. My biometrics was done 5th November. Please what does it mean(my applicatiin closed). ................... Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact Centre. I can confirm your visa application (xxxxx) is showing as closed. You can only use the UK visa for the purpose it serves. |
Hello All, I am new here. I have just been observing, reading and learning. Please how do I go about my situation. I applied for a visitors visa to the UK, biometrics done 5th November. I got a NSF email a week later but they didn't ask for further documents. I am yet to get a reply from them. Fortunately in December I got an international job in the Caribbean and I accepted the offer and I have even gotten a clearance into the Caribbean. What is holding my trip is that I need a transit visa, either thru Europe, UK, US or Canada. Now do I contact the UK embassy about my visitors application and also informing them of this new development? Should I ask for my passport from the UK and apply for a transit via Europe? ( which I might get in about 5WD) Any advice will be valuable. Thanks PS I was denied UK visa twice in 2010 as a student. Though had travelled multiple times to Europe in from 2017 to 2019. This includes holidays and official trips. |
