lifehacker: guente02, I have exactly your kind of problem, and I jUst checked mine to see the same thing, I'm having another big challenge, at&t won't let me use my hotspot, even in naija,.. tried different apps- foxify- force closes, what can I do?

Foxfi should do the trick but since it's force closing try search for a different version and install... If all fails.. Try WiFi tether.. That should help I believe

guente02: What im saying is that my bro got a samsung s3 19300 second hand.
Now he gave me the phone to set. The phone has been rooted but no cwm installed. So entered download mode and in product name i saw SGH T999. I made further research and discovered that the phone is real international version of s3 not tmobile version. Im now confused because when i flashed cwm for 19300 it didnt work but when i tried dat of sgh t999 it worked but behind the battery 19300 was written there and also in the about of the phone the model is 19300. So im asking if the product name can be changed to 19300 so that 19300 firmware and cwm will work.

Forget the name you saw on the housing of the phone, might have been tampered with.. Everything might have been tampered with but not what you see as your product version in download mode.. This happened to be one of the tricks some fellas use to identify clones.. T999 is the version of your s3.you just gotta accept that.. By flashing i9300 on it and the phone experiencing a boot loop should tell you that also..

I think I found myself almost slipping if not that I had my s4 with me...Made comparisons and came to the below inference
1. The boot sound is not as sharp as the Original s4
2. The blue LED light does not come up on powering on the phone
3. The resolution is quite poor,
4. Surprisingly, I saw FM radio in the clone.. Mind you, s3 is the last galaxy flagship to have one.. This was the main deciding factor for me..
5. Every other goddamn thing is same..
6. The Clone is Always made in Korea, Most of the Originals I've come across are made in Vietnam, so once you see Korea, take a deep laugh and walk away..
It surprised me though how far the people have gone to deceive others..

Didn't wanna comment but just had to... Can't help my mouth opening and laughing... The techno noise is just too much... Any one that knows PHONES will never settle for techno, he can only use it as a substitute to a Bigger and better machine... I prefer using a fairly used s2 even than use a phantom A+....Phantom A+ which is Techno's flagship device couldn't handle a Lil game like Riptide G2 without lagging and force closing but the 2 years abi 3 years old galaxy s2 can.. What does that tell u Team techno... .?just my 2kobo
