I watched a documentary on an incident like this but in Canada. Some Survivors of the pile up were interviewed as part of the documentary. Most gave varying reasons foremost of which were - near zero visibility. You arent even aware cars in front had stopped and blocked the road. You see them almost too late. Issue of skidding as a result of the sheet and ice and lastly, it being an interstate road used by long distance trucks and so on, you can't exactly cruise - average speed of 70mph needs to be maintained.

It was a crazy documentary and over 39 lives lost and affected more than 200 vehicles.

What he did was not the best way to react by any sane human being. We all should Iearn how to exercise our emotions. That's what makes us intelligent and higher mammals. We aren't donkeys. That's not to say we shouldn't respond to negativity where needed, but there is a always a good and bad way to do virtually anything in this life.

He was not being childish, he was being emotional. Absolutely nothing childish about that!

Comedy should have a few ethics and rules. It's distasteful as well as disgusting to make jokes out of a very serious medical condition.

IMO this is a typical case where "two wrongs make a right"

We all should learn how to control our anger especially in public. The fact that he laughed initially tells a lot that he understands the place of comedy in Hollywood and these jokes are made on everyone. Virrually everyone. His reaction was quite childish.

Let's assume that it was Amy Schumer presenting or Jason Mamoa or The Rock. Would he not have exercised caution? Put his so called "emotions" in check? Be honest. He would have!

His behaviour was inexcusable and he was right to apologize. In this life eh, there is a time and place. Words could be exchanged after the ceremony was over. Or he could even sit on his seat and curse Chris Rock out. But a role model such as himself acting that way, was very childish.

We should try not to let our emotions get the best out of us. Else Chris could have also reacted emotionally too and punched him back. He didn't. Or filed charges, he didnt. Or Curse him out on Sm, he didn't. Wisdom is enough for the wise. That's why he isnt the one publicly apologizing rn.
