Thank you all for the kind advises. She saw this post and has learnt.

It was like i was too scared of everything or kinda over protecting the boy but you know mothers and their love for their first child... Make this boy start walking so i can flex him more.

But one more question? Is it okay to carry the baby on my laps while using my arms to support and make him rest.
Yes it's okay to carry him in the position u just described

Thank you kokaiye , you always come thru.
Pls my son doesn't have boil on his mouth, l was trying to describe the kind of rash that comes and some of them changes to boil on his body.
The rashes have pus on the mouth is what l meant.
As for my son his fine now, no more boils.
I will do as u have advised, just that breastfeeding him on that breast is heavenly.
This ur description fits ALEFO .it's a name the yorubas called rashes that burst into pus

Hello again mama, this thread is getting drier n drier everyday, let us make it alive.... i wanna ask few questions ... How did u mothers do it wen u r contipated n u gaz use d toilet asap, u r d only person at home with baby? Do u carry baby wit u to d toilet while u spent hrs tryin to relieve ursef, or u leave baby alone in d room n go do ur number 2? If ur ans is dt u leave baby, what do u do wen baby start crying in d room? Do u continue doing ur business in d toilet or u postpone relieving ursef in d toilet? Wat if u r in d middle of relieving ursef n d thing get stuck in ur number two wat do u do wen baby is crying out 4 u? This actually happened to me yesterday, as it happened i was wondering wat other mamas did wen in dia situation... Wat i actually did was dt i carried baby with me to d toilet on his bouncer but far away from me thou n was playing with him but mr man was complaining wanting me to carry me while i battle wit gettin d waste out of my body but dis thing wasnt showing any sign of comin out any sooner n baby was already getting frustrated shocked, already mkin sound dt he ws abt to cry, i kept mkin faces to mk him laugh but mr man doesnt find it funny, i sing 4 him, e no work cry... As e carry mouth yaaa about to burst crying, i just carry my bombom jejely comot toilet to attend to him angry... D backpain n leg pains i had afterwards due to d contipation ehn hmmmn(constipation na bad tin wen u r in a hurry) cry cry, naso i carry uncle ooo, played wit him n fed him until e feel asleep after 5hrs straight undecided b4 i resumed bk 2 d toilet n resume my bziness, tnk goodness d hrs help my body soften d waste cheesy, n it came out easily.. Backpain n leg pains disappear instantly cool... Babies can b demanding sha smh... B acting lik little demons grin

These things happen and they are part of the challenges of motherhood. Personally I continue my toilet business if I was already doing it and the baby is awake and crying then I console myself that if he didn't cry when he was born, we won't have left the hospital so crying won't kill him.

Babies with lots of hair mostly experience this. It's sweat, mixed with soap residue. Always make sure you rinse out his hair totally during bath.

You might also consider using baby shampoo instead of Normal soap for washing his hair.

Also, limit the number of times you use soap/shampoo in a week. Instead of everyday, use shampoo once a week, then other days, just wash the hair with only water.

And to comb out the flakes, soak the affected part with enough oil, leave for a while, then gently comb it out. When you've finally gotten rid of the flaky scalp, stop using too much oil on the hair.

Thank you sis and u are right about the lots of hair thing, the flakes are all gone now,I just washed the hair with more soap and combed it and it's all gone.

Hi mama.. it’s just like dandruff. Cradle cap is due to dry scalp. Just apply oil and comb gently. It’ll peel off over time

Thank you, I will do it but I do apply oil on the hair twice a day since we bath morning and night

Thank you ma for checking up on me.

After hanging legs for 2weeks in the hospital (as I stated in my last post) the drainage stopped, after 2 days I saw blood but it was just a wipe. Went for scan the following day, scan said that the lead twin T1 had no heart activity but T2 was fine.
That night I started having contractions before I knew what was happening I expelled parts of T1 and the membrane of T2 broke, all the liquor drained out that night.
I was booked for evacuation the next day. That was how I lost both of them cry
I am back to square one after waiting for so long, I don't even know where to start from. I thought everything abt this TTC would have ended this year.

Sabi Mama's pls if there's anything I can do now to help me take in again pls let me know.

My dear it's well.Try not to worry too much,ur miracle is around the corner

Rota is very expensive. In my Hospital then, mothers were required to officially request for it one week in advance. That was 2020. Can't remember the exact cost. Whether 9k or 19k. If you don't mention it, the nurses won't mention it either. Its not compulsory but if one has the funds, its good to take it.

Ok thanks for the explanation

Sis, that Rota vaccine isn't free o. There's a cost to it that's why most govt hospital don't administer it. If am not lying, it costs about 5k if not more.
When I had my first baby in 2019, some Mama's discussed it that's when I first heard that it's not free in Most Nigerian hospitals. When my baby wasn't given, I didn't freak out because I already heard about it on this thread.
Go to the new born babies thread, I'm sure your question will be properly answered.

Na wa for them o,they should have so and those of us that want to pay for it will pay

Mama's Abeg I need help. I need suggestions on good diapers.

PAMPERS: it has to be the South African one or else baby has rashes.
HUGGIES (baby reacts with rashes)
MOLFIX( I don't understand what they are producing anymore. My sis in-law complains the diaper is always shifting to the side thereby her baby spilling poo. She bought 3packs and it's the same issue with all of them).

Pls I need a good diaper we can easily get that is effective....Forget all these big names..

Thank you.
Sorry about your experience but have you tried Kisskids diaper?it's pretty good

Birth story!!!

I had my first myomectomy at 20. They were 9 fibroids and the biggest was pedunculated, cystic and subserous which made the surgery of importance. My doctors counseled me to start planning pregnancy and all. Lol, I was a virgin prior to my surgery and that made me lose it. Yet, no pregnancy. About 2 years after (I was now single), I started having very heavy periods so I went for a scan which revealed fibroids were back. I cried my eyes out, called my mum and she encouraged me. I decided to bear with the symptoms. My God! Every menstruation was a mad cycle. I had to get thick always pad and I kid you not, I used at least 4 packs of pad every cycle. I always got stained even with that “special” brand. During this period, I met my husband.
I had to see a doctor who is an O&G prof at UITH (she’s such a blessing to me. Her hospital is Gracevid hospital, agbadam, ilorin for those who need it. She is a fertility specialist too). Prof examined me, placed me on some drugs to reduce the rate at which I was bleeding and asked me to do scan and HSG. HSG was a very painful procedure and I weeped while it was done. Result came and said I had multiple fibroids which had distorted my uterus and my right Fallopian tube could not be visualized. My husband (then bf) was worried but encouraged me. I went to prof and she said she would not carry out any surgery on me till I was going to get married. This was because my endometrium was breached in the last surgery and it could have effect on fertility. Prof counseled me not to rush into marriage just cos of what I was going through. I listened but I knew I had my own husband already (which was my bf)
Few months later, my bf proposed and I informed prof. She asked me multiple questions to be sure I was getting married for the right reasons. She planned my surgery and I had 52 fibroids removed. Yes, 52!
I healed well afterwards, she placed me on a dose of leuprolide injection (about 35k per dose) to slow down regrowth. I started trying to get pregnant but no show. I went to prof and she told me to do scan, HSG and sono. Scan and HSG showed I had a fibroid seedling while sono revealed I had twin follicles which were about to ovulate. Those twin eggs ended as menses.
Prof encouraged me and asked if I talk to God. I told her I do and she told me to go and pray like I’ve never done. I prayed and I dreamt.
In the dream, I was on my period holding my special pad to go and change. My pastor’s wife met me on the way and asked why I was holding pad when I should be pregnant. I started crying in the dream and I woke up. I told my husband, called my mum and my pastors. We started praying cos it was a sign I was fighting a battle. My husband stood by me through it all. Few months later, my husband (who doesn’t dream) woke up and told me he dreamt I was fighting a very big snake, it had wrapped me up and I was struggling with it. He picked a cutlass, killed the snake, cut it into pieces and cooked it to eat. That week, my mum also dreamt that someone accosted her for not inviting her to my wedding after which she apologized to her. I knew God had won the war.
2 weeks after, my husband dreamt I did a pt and it was positive. Omo, I did a pt the following week and it was positive. For the first time in my 26yrs of life, I got pregnant! I cried, thanked God and begged Him to perfect everything.
At 20weeks, I started spotting at work and rushed for a scan which revealed threatened miscarriage. I was placed on bed rest and it was discovered I had pregnancy induced hypertension so I was placed on daily vasoprin 75mg to prevent pre eclampsia. It worked perfectly. Prof told me I would deliver via elective CS cos my uterus had too many scars for labour. At 34 weeks, I started contracting and rushed to the hospital. I had a fibroid which was degenerating and that was stimulating contractions. I was admitted and placed on drugs. Thankfully, it stopped. I started contracting again a day to my scheduled surgery, so prof wheeled me in for an emergency CS. God blessed me with my own child. He wiped my tears. He gave me a son who looks so much like my husband. God changed my name and now I’m called a mummy. Just take a minute to thank God for me.

This is a beautiful Bs,because it ended in praise Congratulations dear.

Birth story
I got married December 2020 and the ignorant me thought that once one has unprotected sex it must lead to pregnancy so I was expecting pregnancy the next month being January but it didn't happen, my husband wasn't in a haste at all for pregnancy but I wanted pregnancy sharp sharp ,unfortunately it took me 3 months to get pregnant and sadly I lost the pregnancy at 10 weeks .I had no idea what  caused it but when I went for the first scan at 10 weeks, it was reading 7 weeks with no fetal pole I was told to come back in two weeks to re-scan but I started bleeding few days after the scan ,was rushed to the hospital and that was it o,I passed the foetus in the hospital toilet. I can't begin to explain how terrible I felt after the miscarriage but just know that it was a trying moment in my life.
Four months after the miscarriage in the month of August 2021 I was expecting my period and had intention to try some fertility drugs /supplements for pregnancy the next month when my God did it o,I didn't see my period and a day after I did the urine test and I saw two red lines starring at me,my feelings that moment was kinda mixed,I was happy and scared at the same time and praying against miscarriage .First trimester was smooth, no extreme morning sickness, second and third  trimester same thing till my bp went high around 25weeks and I was place on aldomet drugs till delivery .My last antenatal appointment at 40weeks I was really tired and had it in mind to ask my doctor for a membrane sweep only for the nurses who checked my bp to shout that my bp is too high 160/90 so when it got to my turn to see the doctor he said I should  get ready for induction that very day since I am full term due to my unstable bp which has been lingering for a while now and send for my load,I begged to go home and  come back but they refused and asked me to do  a scan at the hospital ,which I did and the scan result was fine and placed my baby weight to be 3.7kg.At around 4pm that very day the induction process started, in summary the induction process lasted for 16 hours and there was no progress, I was stuck at 4cm with pain ,baby heartbeat was also unstable and the doctor also said something concerning my pelvic being blocked or so can't recall and CS  was suggested to me,I accepted, and Cs was carried out and my baby boy screamed his lung out  on May 12th weighing 4.3kg against 3.5kg that scan said a day before the surgery. Recovery has been something else but I thank God, vigilante is also very real,I  am still bleeding almost 4 weeks after CS although not heavy but I am still bleeding,we also have cough and catarrh and my tummy still look 4 months pregnant, I wonder if my tummy will ever go back to normal. May God grant the heart desires of everyone here and may our labor not be in vain.pls ignore all grammatical errors abeg.

Good day mamas.
I am little bit worried. Though some persons said it's not a big deal.

My baby will be 3weeks old (born on 20th May) by tomorrow. He's umbilical stump is yet to fall off. I have been doing what I was told to do religiously. I clean with spirit and cotton wool regularly
What could be wrong mamas.
I
Meanwhile, I saw a peadetrician last two weeks and she said it will fall off. Still it hasn't

Don't stress it dear it will fall off but when u say u clean regularly what is the frequency?my hospital said we should clean it every 2 hours but after 7 days when my baby cord didn't fall off I started cleaning every 1 hour and it fell off on the10thday

BS! BS!! BS!!!

Glory be to Almighty God in the highest for He has shown me His goodness and kindness.

My LMP was August 17th( my late dad's anniversary) so I didn't really put mind in pregnancy matter even though I had kept track of my ovulation, menstruation and even hormonal imbalance but I remembered to write it down.

Fast forward to a week after, I had pile (jedijedi) and as a Yoruba girl that I am now I already bought agbo to take and also while carrying out fertility tests, it was discovered I had infection and was also about treating it too but for whatever reason my spirit just kept delaying the treatments.

This journey has been eventful and interesting and a lot learnt but vigilante no be my mate so I may go ghost mood for a while. Thanks for the long read and to everyone who has made this journey bearable. May the Almighty God bless every woman with the fruit of the womb very soon in Jesus name and happy waddling to our preggy and beautiful mamas.
Kindly forgive my typos please.

See you all soon in Jesus name!!!
