I have a feeling that this exercise is just to string us along and stop all the status emails. The email address to send this to is Ms Chilaka's office email. Can you imagine the number of emails and documents that she'll have in her inbox by the COB tomorrow? |
Did you receive the email with deadline COB tomorrow, Feb 28 for submission of documents meant for the portal? If not, check your mailbox |
Hey Spyder, you don't respond to my emails. Can you email me a copy of the agreement? Thanks |
My questions/comments: What happens to an investor's share if he dies? Again, what is the liability of the investors if the partnership gets sued by contractors, workers, etc? How will disagreements between Spyder/investor(s) be resolved? I sent you an email requesting a copy of the agreement, Spyder and a yet to hear from you ![]() |
My fellow awardees una dey? It looks like GEM has forgotten us. Any news as to when to expect the next tranche? All that talk at the orientation about monthly monitoring and checks and balances and nothing concrete since disbursement. |
spyder880:Enugu has truly gone crazy. Land in Achara Layout/Awkunanaw now N8m. Na real wa! |
What is the average price for a plot in this area? |
I wasn't sure where to post this so mods if in the wrong forum, please feel free to move it to the right one. Back in July, I needed to buy Ogbono. Since I hadn't bought in a long time, I called some caterer friends for prices. Then I decided to come on nairaland and search. I came across one of Anifranklyn67's posts. His price seemed ridiculously lower than all the prices I had been getting. But I was hesitant as caution should be the watchword for all online transactions, particularly those involving our fellow Naija people. My friends all discouraged me that if if seemed too good to be true, it probably was. Against all advice,I decided to order two paint buckets. My family and friends thought either I had gone crazy or had too much money to burn or both. It's bad enough that I was going ahead and I was ordering two? I contacted Francis and he was very responsive with his emails. He sent his account number and I paid in the price of 2 painter buckets including shipping to Enugu. I waited for delivery with bated breadth and when there was a slight delay, the I told you so began. But he communicated and apologized for the delay and I eventually received my Ogbono. It looked like Ogbono and smelt fresh. When they took it to grind at the market, it was hard to grind because of how fresh it was. It needed to be spread out in the sun for a while to dry some more. That way, I knew he didn't sell Ogbono that had been sitting in storage forever to me. I waited this long to write this post because I wanted to cook it first. I finally made Ogbono soup with it two days ago and I can assure you that it's not ugili/ugiri. It came out great and the soup was of the right draw/consistency. Francis told me that he also sells Ukwa fresh/dry. I was very impressed by the entire transaction and quality of the Ogbono. Remember my caterer friend above? He now wants Francis' number so he can source Ogbono from him as Francis' prices are much cheaper than wherever he currently sources from. In conclusion, nairalanders, do not hesitate to do business with Anifranklyn67. He is genuine. Thanks for reading. |
A friend is trying to convince us to invest in this property for future resale. We do not plan to build on it. We are quite hesitant given the high rate of fraud in our society. Has any nairalander invested in this estate or any of the Adron Homes estates and what has been your experience? Which is the way to go - installmental payments or one time payment? Any experience with Adron homes? Are they reputable? Should we be worried about what seems to be exorbitant developmental fees et al attached to the land? Please Adron marketers and promoters, try to keep away from this thread. Thanks. |
almonrea:How much is it going for and do you have pictures? We need more info before deciding if it's worth calling about. |
fatiaforreal:My understanding is that they were waiting for clearance from the bank. After which there will be some form of training for the monitors and then the visits will commence. I hear you on skyrocketing costs. The price of cement rose by almost a hundred percent this week and my building is not yet complete. God dey! |
I sent you an email, Spyder. Thanks. |
fatiaforreal:I doubt if she'll be the one conducting all the monitoring visits. I chose the beginning of the month myself. I figured enough progress has been made to satisfy GEM. If not, they can tell me what needs to be done. |
AdewaleAdron:What about those in diaspora that can't do site inspection? |
Can you please explain how it works? If I was interested, what are the numerous steps I need to take? |
fatiaforreal:Yes. I got an email to pick a preferred date in September. Any ideas/tips as to what to expect and how to prepare for the visit? |
I don get alert, Godwin! |
Any news from awardees with UBA accounts? |
I am not dancing with joy at the promises of disbursement. We need actual disbursement. I hope this doesn't turn into another Youwin3. I wouldn't advise any capital investment with personal funds or IOUs till the money hits the accounts. Learn from the experiences of youwin3 awardees. |
Any alerts/updates? |
Smartfeek please check your email. I sent an email requesting a breakdown of the cost of those machines and setting up as well but no response from you. |
fatiaforreal:Agreed. Maybe it's the frustration of staying in Abuja longer than planned that made people cranky. But then, if I'm getting free 10 million and you wan make I stay for two weeks, I no go mind . Just tell me what to expect. All glory to God. Agreement signed and awaiting first disbursement. Any ideas when that will be? |
How is the validation going? |
Should we expect any other updates or contacts from them before Thursday? Any recommendations as to affordable hotels in/near Area 11, Garki? |
kukoki:Yaay! Was it a Mr or Ms X? What did the person ask? Still waiting for my own call. |
Am I the only one that has not been called? Since the email said to expect the call b/w 8am and 5pm Mon -Friday and it's beyond 5pm, what next? Hope and pray? |
I'm posting this again in case someone that may have an answer missed it. The grant agreement mentions a couple of designated banks. Are we free to go with any one of them or are we tied to the one in the email? I ask cos I already have an account with one of the banks. Also the phone number I had is no longer active. Do you know how I can change the #. I emailed them but no response. |

eetua:I received an email today after the GEM email in December. It reads like a scam to me. I don't know. |
Thank you. The event was a huge success. We made 3/4 bag of rice and there was enough to go round. |
aydelicious:Thanks. This is very helpful. No fresh tomatoes? |
daretodiffer:Thanks. What's Congo? How does it compare to mudu? I'm not familiar with Congo as we use mudu in the north. What about the other ingredients? |
