We're in the midst of organizing an event for about 300 guests, mostly women. We plan to cook only jollof rice and chicken and then give them malt to wash it down. Can seasoned caterers and cooks in the house help me with an estimate of how much rice and other condiments to buy? I realise that prices vary by region but quantities will be the same. We don't have a lot of money so the women will be doing the cooking. God help us so that too many cooks will not spoil the broth. Thanks.

Don't rule out a club meet. Church is not always the answer. There are many desperate wife or husband seeking people in church today. They pretend to be born again or devoted Christians just to lure the unsuspecting guys/gals.

US thanksgiving is around the corner and I'm tired of eating bland turkey that is supposed to test good with cranberrry sauce which I don't like. I miss having help. Even though goods are relatively cheap here, services are expensive so help is not readily affordable. I miss coming home after a long day at work to a warm bath, a set dinner table and a sparkling house, all thanks to my househelp.
