Nice project started by Babatunde Fashola but abandoned by Akin Ambode , now being completed by Babajide Sanwo-Olu. One thing I like about Babajide Sanwo-Olu is that , he sees government as a continuous process. The hitherto uncompleted projects by Fashola and Ambode are now being completed. Kudos to him for being a good student of President Buhari, who now completes all abandoned, awarded, re-awarded, initiated , compromised projects that have been abandoned for years by previous governments as a result of corruption , while initiating and completing new projects like Lagos Ibadan Railway that the groundbreaking was done in March 2017 by his Deputy and three years after ..alas..the project is completed. Also Executive Order 7 by the President have made naysayers to keep quiet on infrastructure drives of this govt like Apapa Oshodi Gbagada Road, Second Niger Bridge, etc as explained here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=em7Odj2a2Is

CRS NASS Members React to Fani Kayode Read the statement below... The National Assembly members from CRS are astonished that Fani Kayode can get so ballistic on a matter, he knows nothing about. He throws tantrums at the people that have sustained the Party, while he is on sabbatical. We thought he was going to ask Gov Ayade certain salient questions before dabbling in to the CRS matter. Did he ask Ayade why he contributed two billion naira (#2,000,0000.00), to the APC in the 2019 Elections? Did Fani Kayode ask him why he supported Hope Uzodinma in Imo State against EMEKA Ihedioha of PDP in the last Governorship Election in Imo State? Did he ask Ayade why he sent #5M only, in December last year to the Party, as a Seating Governor after so much pressure? Did he also ask Ayade why he encouraged his protégés to forge the signature of the National Organising Secretary ? An action which is criminal and maligning to the this great Party. Did he ask Ayade if he could win CRS for PDP without the NASS Members? Did he also ask Ayade if the Panel that conducted the Congresses was solely nominated by him OR not? The answer would have definitely been in the affirmative. Did he ask Ayade if he had at least 50% of the structures OR not, bearing in mind that there are other stakeholders and we are in a Democracy? Finally, we think that Fani Kayode should brief us on the standing of the Party in his own State, if he is on ground. We know that the PDP is very weak in his State, so he should go and put his State together for the Party. Fani Kayode’s main Occupation at the moment is “talking “ but he should choose when and what to talk about, inspite of the inducements. https://www.nairaland.com/6049363/cross-river-pdp-nass-members |

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, says Maj.Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and the All Progressives Congress chieftain, Bola Tinubu, are still together. The Presidency, therefore, called on analysts to stop peddling falsehood. Shehu said this in a statement while reacting to the reports that have followed the dissolution of the National Working Committee by the President. He wrote, “To put the records straight: In the formation of this great party and giving it leadership, President Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who are reckoned as the founding fathers of the APC are both inspired by democratic norms, national interest and not at all by partisan motivations. These are the qualities that have made them move past cynical distractions. “They are in touch with one another. Their relationship remains as strong as ever and between the two of them, only they know how they manage their enviable relationship.” The President’s spokesman said the very essence of the requests put to the National Executive Committee meeting of the APC by Buhari, which were unanimously approved, aims to pull back the party. Shehu said opposition parties had used all their intellectuals and their supporters in the media to break this relationship and have failed. “The leaders of the party, who have received two successive massive mandates to govern the country and a majority of the states should be judged by how this exercise turns out in achieving these objectives, not cursed at the mere commencement of the process,” the statement read. https://punchng.com/buhari-tinubu-still-together-says-presidency/ |
Bola Ahmed Tinubu says he has not taken a decision to run in 2023 contrary to speculations, maintaining that he was more worried about the health and economic challenges facing the country at the moment. In a statement he released on Saturday afternoon, he commented for the first time on the ouster of the Adams Oshiomhole-led national working committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The NWC was dissolved on Thursday by the party’s national executive committee (NEC) at an emergency meeting. This was seen as a blow on Tinubu’s rumoured presidential ambition because of his closeness to Oshiomhole. “To those who have been actively bleating how the President’s actions and the NEC meeting have ended my purported 2023 ambitions, I seek your pity. I am but a mere mortal who does not enjoy the length of foresight or political wisdom you profess to have. Already, you have assigned colourful epitaphs to the 2023 death of an alleged political ambition that is not yet even born,” he said. “At this extenuating moment with COVID-19 and its economic fallout hounding us, I cannot see as far into the distance as you. I have made no decision regarding 2023 for the concerns of this hour are momentous enough.” https://www.thecable.ng/breaking-i-have-not-decided-on-2023-presidential-race-says-tinubu/amp?__twitter_impression=true |

A former governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, yesterday, tackled former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over his claim on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Atiku, who was the 2019 presidential candidate of the PDP, had on his Twitter handle on Thursday said, “The PDP has been an example of the order and constitutionality needed to sustain genuine democracy in Nigeria. “I pray that the order, discipline and constitutionality, which we, as a party have exemplified, should guide institutions of our democracy, especially other political parties. Without law and order, a party cannot provide law and order to Nigeria,” he said. Atiku stated this shortly after the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) dissolved its National Working Committee (NWC) over lingering crises rocking the ruling party. The former vice president had battled for the presidential ticket of the APC with President Muhammadu Buhari in 2014. At the primary held in Lagos, Atiku came third after a former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who was next to Buhari. In December 2017, Atiku returned to the PDP where he contested the presidency in 2019. Responding, Sule Lamido punctured the claim of the former vice president saying, “I think PDP has lost the moral authority to make this claim.” Lamido added, “We only need to reflect on our individual roles to discover how hallow this claim is. Self-interrogation can bring out the character in us.” In 2018, Atiku defeated 11 other presidential aspirants, including Lamido, at the presidential election primary of the PDP held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Daily Trust reports that the two are among the top shots of the PDP nursing presidential ambition, come 2023.
