Confused people, including the coach. Here is someone that retired from the team that is trying to play in the next world cup. robosky02: Ighalo set for Super Eagles comeback, included in squad to face Cape Verde, Liberia
Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has said that Al-Shabab striker, Odion Ighalo, is in his provisional squad for their 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Cape Verde and Liberia.
The three-time African champions will play the Blue Sharks and the Lone Stars in their final group qualifying games.
Rohr says he decided to recall Ighalo because of his leadership, although it is still left for the 32-year-old to accept the invitation.
“I put him in the bigger provisional first list for the next games.
“He is doing very well at his club, and he still has the ambition to help his country. Because we miss his leadership, we miss his experience. We miss the goals he scores.
“He was the best scorer at the AFCON, the best scorer during the qualifiers, and I think we have so many young players, and they could learn a lot on the side of such a great player.
“Ighalo is a very important man. I hope that he can come back,” Rohr said in a Q&A on Elegbete TV.
Ighalo retired from international duty after finishing as the top scorer at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Before his retirement, he scored 16 goals in 35 games for the Super Eagles.

Why not try him on beans, well cooked beans, then reach for your nose cover ![grin](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/grin.png) Dropme: Hello nairalanders,
Sorry for bringing such a Story here, but I just feel like getting advises and opinions.
I'm a young single father of one.
I have been the one taking care of my son since his mother left us for a worldly adventure since 4 months ago. But ever since I took over the baton to become the child keeper or nanny or whatever name u could call it, I have never noticed this child fart.
He uses the toilet every morning when he wakes up, but I don't know if he uses the toilet in school, but since last week he has been sent home from school because of fees, I noticed he doesn't use the toilet during those school hours, sometimes the whole day.
So, I kept pondering what could be happening, could it be normal, or maybe he farts and and I'm not aware but overreacting? But I remember his class mistress sometime last week complaining that he's looking malnutritious, and she was advising I get him multivitamins. Though she complain also that I should try change his food from rice and meat to something else like plantain and egg and others but honestly I can't afford things like that for now.
So I ask, what could be the cause? Is it truly malnutrition? Or is it that I'm not always aware when he farts? Or is there any medical explanation that could help, honestly I'm worried because something worse mustn't happen, I can't afford it.
Thanks
Mods please help with wider views, I need more opinions. |

Because of Shower Cap, you faced your life? Jealous girl. Why not try and get more evidence(s). ok. Mercychen: When I met him he didn't have his own apartment. He was just fresh out of school. So he was searching for a job.
I used to visit him them at his friends place ( married man). He later got a job in a hotel at Chevron drive but along the line we had a misunderstanding and gave it a break for months.
He called and to me he had gotten an apartment at lekki. that I should come see if I like the place.. I got there and was just playing around and checking his wardrobe when I saw ladies shower caps. I was like, who owns this? And he said they normally give them at the hotel. Chai!!! This guy can lie for Africa. Like seriously, who gives guys shower caps? So, I told him, you've been camping a lady in this house and he said, "don't start". I just kept quiet because we only just got back together after months.
I later checked his wardrobe again when he stepped out and found more shower caps.
Now, don't call me dumb. I know what I'm saying. That guy was a serial cheat. In fact, that was why I later dumped him and faced my life and God.

There's nothing like curse on that bridge. There's a design error with the bridge. The gradient going down is too sharp, the bridge should have been higher than that. In other countries, the people involved with the construction of the bridge will be facing damaging lawsuits now. 1x2x3: Blacks will never research or conduct experiments to find out the cause of frequent tragedies on that bridge . |

Not a big problem. Just hunker down and start working/hustling right again. If they know that you are back, tell them to give you some time/space. If they do not know, create space and time for yourself. If you're not ''standing well'', you cannot help anybody. Feeling sorry for yourself and others should be put aside firmly. Romance / Re: Should I Go Ahead And Marry Her With This Her Mindset? by VOR2019: 2:44pm On Dec 17, 2020 |
Anoymus: I have a girlfriend I am meaning to propose to during the festive period, she's everything I want in a woman except few exception which might be a hindrance to the proposal. Gist is, my babe is a graduate but lack of work made her to learn fashion designing, she's done with the training and she's very good with what she does.
After marriage, I have told her that I'll assist in her business, I'm planning to get a bigger shop space for her and equip it with modern day machines, tools and tailoring materials goods to help make her work lucrative. I'm budgeting about 1.2-1.5m for this.
The issue now is that, 3 days ago, I asked her what her role would be if eventually after marriage she gets the shop, equipments and all, where she would come in in terms of responsibilities in the house. Her reply was she doesn't want to assume any responsibility and that it's my duty to cater for the family and she can only help & I shouldn't make anything compulsory for her. So many thoughts came through my mind. One of it was that, where the proceeds of her investment would be going to if I should shoulder all the responsibilities in the house knowing fully well that she makes money.
I rang my mum and told her of her response, I was shocked that she backed her saying that I shouldn't have asked her to foot anything in the house that it was my sole responsibility as a man to cater for my family my wife inclusive. My dad too, same thing. Even told my gf mum about it too , she giggled and said I shouldn't have asked her n that it's my duty to provide for my family. They all sounded foreign to me. Or am I the one not understanding?
My question now is, why invest that kind of money in her when I'm not sure of getting little or nothing in terms in return help to run the family. That sum of money could get me 4 brand new bikes and 2 neatly used Keke Napep for transportation business. I'm sure I'll be getting returns from these investment weekly or monthly basis.
I don't want who wouldn't have any sense of responsibility at home after investing in her, even if she's covering 10% or 5% I wouldn't mind. Mere helping doesn't go down well with me, she might have and decide not to give out. I rather not invest at all and expect nothing from her.
I don't know if I'm the one over thinking this things or my parent and her mum aren't seeing things from my perspective or am I being inconsiderate?
Criticism, Insults and bashing are welcomed. Thanks No issue here, no big deal here. Simply use the fund for the business you envisaged (bike and maruwa) first. After raising enough returns from the business, set her up. Shikena! |
Travel / Re: Open And Dirty Drainage System In Lagos (Photos) by VOR2019: 10:53am On Nov 22, 2019 |
''The filthy condition of many streets in Lagos State is attributable to the construction of an open drainage system''
Sorry Sir/Ma, you are completely wrong!
When I was young, we use to do paper boats and race them inside the drainage/gutters (we call them then) from the top of the street (No 1 house) to the end! This means that the drainage/gutters are relatively free!
Now get this: The MAJOR REASON for the filthy condition of many streets in Lagos State is due to the BAD HABIT of indiscriminate (from windows of vehicles, houses, etc.) disposal of refuse, dirt, pieces of paper, plastic bottle, etc. Sadly, majority (almost 90%) of the population of Lagos are guilty of this bad and dangerous habit!
Look at it this way. If one million (1 million) people should drop ''pure water'' sachets at a particular area, that area is in trouble. Note that Lagos population is over 20 million! This is the reason that the drainage system is always overwhelmed. No amount of work by LAWMA, Highway Managers and Joe Igbokwe will solve the problem. To me , Joe Igbokwe is just punishing himself and his selfless and patriotic staff!
The solution is to change our bad habit and make sure that this dangerous habit does not turn to culture. I believe it is possible the change this bad habit, it is not too late. |
