Job Title: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Scope: Responsible for the planning, coordination and control of the production sub-units. To coordinate, schedule, facilitate and monitor printing and production operations within agreed budgetary limits to ensure that orders are delivered according to specifications and within deadline.

Reports to: Assistant General Manager, Managing Director

Responsible for: Screen Printers, Tailors, Embroidery and Transfer Operators.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Management
• Brainstorm and implement the daily production schedule for the sub-units (Tailoring, Screen Printing, Packaging and Monogram) in the department.
• Liaise with the Procurement Officer to ensure that the materials required for production are available in a timely manner.
• Liaise with the Graphics department to ensure that the artworks are printed and delivered to the Screen Printers.
• Responsible for all production materials in the departments, including Frames, Artwork (Exposed and Unexposed), Consumables (Paints, transparent tape, nylons etc.) and ensures that they are replenished in a timely manner.
• Provides direction and support during schedule interruptions to accommodate emergency requests.
• Responsible for the all materials that have been delivered to the department for a client’s order.
• Review and approve samples before the full production process commences to catch errors quickly.
• Responsible for filing approved samples.
• Carry out spot checks during production to ensure that the orders are executed without errors.
• Plan production activities for overtime, when necessary and ensure that the required resources are available.
Order Planning
• Participate in the alignment meeting to work out the human and material resources required to execute a job.
• Provide feedback to the Client Fulfillment Officer on production time and possible delivery date.
• Provide consultation and assistance to clients regarding the appropriate materials and production process that will produce the results that they want for the finished job.

Team Management
• Direct and supervise the production staff in their day to day activities to ensure that they function at maximum efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Coordinate the activities of each production sub-unit to ensure proper flow of output from one sub-unit to another.
• Team motivation.
• Resolve conflicts amongst team members in a timely manner.
• Create and implement an accountability system for each phase of the production to ensure that team members are accountable for their daily results.
• Discipline unruly team members and escalate unruly behavior to management for disciplinary action.

Health, Safety and Environment
• Ensure that all equipment are safe and ready for use at all times. Faulty machines must be escalated to management before the close of business.
• Conducts safety trainings for team members.
• Ensure that the production department is tidy after work.
• Prepare and submit a weekly report on all activities to the Managing Director.
• Any other duties that may be assigned.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Production Management
• Participate in daily alignment meeting to plan for the activities of each sub-unit (Graphics, Monogram, Screen Printers, Packaging and Tailors) according to priority.
• Less than 5% down time in the Production Unit.
• All samples must be approved and filed.
• Zero (0) cases of production errors.
• 90% timely delivery for clients’ orders.
• Zero (0) cases of material damages and wastage due to poor handling and management.
• Submission of weekly report to the Managing Director.

Team Management
• Track production time for each project and fill the Project

Time Log accurately.
• Resolve internal conflicts before the close of business.
• Overtime sheet must be 100% accurate.
• Escalate unruly behavior to management before the close of business via email.
