Why is it that Nigerian coaches don't like to sub. It shows that they don't have a game plan.

We appreciate our girls, it's d coaching style that we are questioning. The girls tied d game based on their individual raw skills. In a competition like this individual skill Can only take u so far.

It's either nigeria doesn't have the depth asper players or the coach doesn't know what he is doing for him not to make any sub.

Oh my GOD!!! No way!!! This guy was one of the nice naijas in Detroit. I can never forget my first day at Ford Motor Company he was one of the old Ford naijas that took me out to lunch. But the main thing he was known for was that he always brings in the ex-super eagles players to play in the Nigeria soccer tournament every year. Because of this guy a lot of young soccer guys like us get to play against the likes of ben iroha, Samson siasia, Monday agboentan etc and they always call themselves the (Team Michigan 1). Also He was one of the naijas that first approached Bill Ford back in the day that Ford Motor Company should try and enter naija market but Bill Ford declined.

He is surely going to be missed by the Detroit soccer boys and igbo community.

RIP (Ford Man)

Celebrities / Re: M.I & Okonjo-Iweala To Speak At Harvard University Leadership Conference by VPG: 6:21pm On Feb 05, 2013
MI is not really giving a speech. He is going to be on one of the panels and I’m guessing the “Entertainment in Africa or Building a business in Africa panel” before a crowd of 50 to 100 depending on how many people are interested in “entertainment in Africa”. The panel comprises of 5 to 7 people they get to give a brief introduction about themselves and then the crowd in the room unleash their questions.

Aunty Ngozi on the other hand is going to be one of the chief speakers. Which means she is going to give about an hour or so speech at the main hall before thousands of people which is everyone attending the conference. After the speech people will now blast her with tough questions. And trust me them questions are no joke they will hit her with some serious stuff.

Politics / Re: Senate Orders CBN To Suspend N5000 Note Introduction by VPG: 8:56pm On Aug 27, 2012
isangedigh: It is no longer news that CBN plans to introduce N5,000 note by January 2013 .

The crux of the matter is the implication that this will have on our individual lives and national economy. One of the indices of a GROWING INFLATION, is the creation of Higher Local Currency Bill, NO matter what CBN or the Managers of our economy say, they know too well in their minds.

The highest bill in the US is $100, Britain is €50, Ghana 50 Cedi, Have ever had a scene where you're forced to spend N100 or above for a service that's worth N50, all because the service provider claims ;"No Change"? This in itself is inflationary.

Ask them in Zimbabwe where the highest currency in circulation is $100 Trillion Bill, but no one spends it. Instead, people use the US dollars and South African rands for their daily transactions!

We will soon be buying things now sold for about N3,000 - N4,500; for N5,000.00!

It is terrible!

Why are we not emulating Ghana where they just redenominated their currency? Why can't we do same to manage our economy?

The answer is clear; if we redenominate THEY will lose the money already stolen and kept abroad. For instance if we redenominate by cutting down two zeros, N1,000 becomes N10 while N100 becomes N1. In a similar way one dollar will exchange for N1.55k. Therefore $100m will be N1.5m. Naira will become stronger against many currencies and stealing money abroad will become unattractive.

Why are we going for higher denomination when CBN is spending billions to promote a cashless economy?

My guy becos u redominate naira no mean say value of the naira go rise like omi gari o. i no study econs for school but i do know that 100/50 = 2 and so is 2/1 all you doing is playing with numbers. if we redominate and and 1 US dolapo equals N1.55k you better trust and believe that ur paycheck too go miss zero so at the end of the day you back to square one and you still going to be left with the same naira value.

Romance / Re: How Much Did You Spend On Your Wedding? by VPG: 4:47pm On Jan 04, 2012
It all depends on how deep your pocket and ur supporters pocket is. I gat married 2 weeks ago in Gidi.

Traditional + English

Wify and I - $25K (help or no help we not planning on spending more than $25K but then we happened to have loving and generous family members)
My Fam (Sister, Brother, Parents) ~$40K
Wife’s Fam (Sister, Brother, Parents) ~$50K

Total = ~ $115K (18, 400, 000 naira)

Guest at the wedding/engagement ~1500

Plus keep in mind it’s the first wedding in both families.
