flokii:You live by lies; and propaganda's. The January 1966 coup was not an Igbo Coup, and Nzeogwu was not the leader of the coup. Let it be said loud and clear that that coup, namely January 15, 1966 coup, was not an Igbo coup. It was a coup led by certain progressive Yoruba and Igbo Officers, involving the active participation of soldiers and officers from the North and other ethnic minorities in Nigeria. The aim, as has been stated again and again by the leaders of the coup, was to release Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who was in detention at the time and install him as the Prime Minister of Nigeria. The only excuse the British and their Fulani allies had for tagging it “an Igbo coup” was that it was Major Nzeogwu who announced the coup from Kaduna. Captain Adewale Ademoyega explained that the coup was to be announced from NBC (Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation) Lagos, the seat of the Government, if it had not been foiled by Gen Ironsi. He made it clear that upon troops loyal to Gen. Ironsi taking over Army Signals at Apapa and the telephone exchanges in Lagos, Kaduna was completely isolated; and Nzeogwu, having carried out his “assignment” successfully in Kaduna, made the broadcast out of frustration. Besides, it is a historical fact in Nigeria that a coup leader is NOT the one that announces the coup. Brigadier Abacha announced Gen Buhari’s coup; Lt. Col Ukpo announced Babangida’s coup; Gideon Orka announced Col Nyiam’s coup. The only exception, where the announcer was labeled the coup leader, was the case of Major Nzeogwu; by virtue of which it became a coup planned by Igbos, the ethnic group of the announcer! Gen Olusegun Obasanjo, in his book, My Command, made it clear that Major Nzeogwu was not capable of, and would never have participated in, a coup with an ethnic or sectional bias. January 15, 1966 Coup and Biafra Myth and Realities exposes in graphic details the truth about that coup and the list of the participants and victims. By default, it was the last minute refusalto participate in the coupby an Igbo officer, Major Obienu, who failed to bring up the armored cars to back up the seizure of Lagos as planned, that made it possible for Gen Ironsi to successfully round up the culprits. Gowon knows this truth. T.Y Danjuma, whose gang (ironically) murdered Obienu on July 29th 1966, also knows this for a fact. It is curious that the alleged Igbo coup plot was unknown to the highest ranking Igbo officer in the North at the time, Lt. Col. Odumegwu –Ojukwu who mustered his troops in Kano to march down to Kaduna to crush Nzeogwu and those loyal to him. Gen Obasanjo, in his book narrated his ordeal in the hands of Ojukwu who suspected that he (Obasanjo, being Nzeogwu’s best friend), must have been one of the plotters. Ojukwu promptly put him under arrest until a signal came from Army Headquarters in Lagos for Ojukwu to release him. Thus, we have an alleged “Igbo Coup” where, the most senior military officer, in the whole country, an Igbo, foiled the coup in the South and Lagos; while the most senior Igbo military officer in the North, Lt. Col. Odumegwu Ojukwu, frustrated it in the North by denying Major Nzeogwu fighting troops he needed to challenge Lagos. Both T.Y Danjuma and Gen Gowon know these facts. Nzeogwu and his colleagues had nothing but patriotic aims in staging that coup, first to abort and preempt the sustenance of the anachronistic regime of the time that had planned to sustain itself via a coup on 17th January 1966; secondly, to replace it (the anachronistic regime) by a more progressive one to be led by a man many of them had confidence in, namely Chief Obafemi Awolwo; thirdly, to support him (Chief Awolowo) to govern together with patriotic citizens to turn Nigeria into a more progressive united course. Both Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu, Col Victor Banjo and Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna carried this dream to their last days. It is noteworthy that Col Victor Banjo and Major Emanuel Ifeajuna were executed by Col Ojukwu, the Biafran Leader, for their abiding faith in that Nigeria of their dream, instead of giving full support for Biafra. the coup failed, he said: “I want them also to know why the coup failed. It failed because an Igbo man, General Aguiyi Ironsi took up arms and arrested the coup plotters and put them in prison. ”Ironsi was the one controlling the army then. If he had supported the coup, it could have succeeded. So,it was Igbo that stopped the coup. Ironsi was eventually killed

flokii:Eye witness (Admissible in court) vs hear say ( Not admissible in court) Only a foolish man; will take hear say; over eye witness. Eye witnesses The only accounts that have come out about the death of the Prime Minister indicate that Alhaji Tafawa Balewa was accorded the highest regard even before he was arrested. According to Major Wale Ademoyega, a key leader of the coup, in Why We Struck, his account of the coup, wrote that Major Emmanuel Arinze Ifeajuna who led the team that arrested the Prime Minister at his lodge ordered that the Prime Minister be accorded the highest courtesy. He was even allowed to finish his prayers before he was taken into Ifeajuna’s Red Mercedes 190. Segun Osoba who was the only reporter to see the Prime Minister’s corpse at the cocoa plantation on Abeokuta where they found him prodded against a cocoa tree to rest, reported that the body of the Prime Minister when he saw it was “fresh” and there was no bullet wound. If the Prime Minister was violated, as Bakare claims, Osoba would have known, and would have reported it. The death of Tafawa Balewa was tragic, but it needs to be said here, that Mr. Balewa could not have cursed an entire Igbo, simply because, in spite of what Bakare ignorantly thinks, the Igbo did not carry out a coup. The coup was carried out by a faction of the Nigerian Army which happened to have had more Igbo officers. Besides, most Nigerians have been told a huge lie about that event. The government that was overthrown was led by an Igbo, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, who was President. I read history with facts. I dont argue; with ignorant people. Bye. |
TheNiceGuy:Nigeria is cursed;for all the Igbo blood they spilled; in there genocide . Which tribe is most intelligent in Africa? Igbo people of Nigeria were ranked as the most intelligent tribe of black Africa in a US academic report in 2015. Igbos are of the most progressive tribes in Africa. 5/10 richest Nigerians according to forbes 2022; Are Igbos. Igbos are like palm trees in the desert. If you see palm trees, you know water is there. If you see an Igbo in a town, you know progress is there. Not as if they go where progress is. They themselves are seed of progress that yield harvests of progress. To have a proper understanding of what the Igbo have achieved, consider that every Igbo man, woman and child in Nigeria was reduced to £20 after the civil war in 1970. But look at how far they have come since then. They turned adversity to prosperity. No ethnic group are as Nigerian as the Igbo. An Igbo builds his family, his house and his businesses in whatever part of Nigeria he finds himself. They do not exploit other regions. They expand other regions. It is a disservice to treat them as unwanted. Instead of making Igbos feel unwelcome, leaders should welcome them. Anyone who thinks the Igbo really want to break away does not understand economics. In 2003, Elrufai revealed Igbos own 73% of land in Abuja. Google it. That is commitment to Nigeria. This idea that Igbo come to exploit other regions is unscientific. Igbos create value. They do not take value already created. Example, by opening shops, Igbos create value by meeting a need. Without Igbo, the price of spare-parts in the North will be x4. It might shock you to know there are more Igbo doctors practicing in other parts of Nigeria than in the SE. Thousands of Igbos are battling Boko Haram in the NE. These are critical values. People who bring such value should be celebrated, not denigrated. |
Tunde Bakare lies about Balewa and the Igbo Mr Tunde Bakare, Pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly (now also known as the Citadel Global Community Church) a Nigerian fundamentalist Christian church, is a man with a large following. His words are consequential. His pulpit is large. As a self-proclaimed Christian pastor, many Christians have trusted his words as true. Well, that is about, possibly to change. Why? Here’s the deal: in the last week, Bakare’s mask fell from his face, and we glimpsed the image of the grinning skull. A terrible image. What led to this slipping of the mask? Well, again, there is the old saying that a lion may hide all it wants, but it cannot hide its claws. Tunde Bakare could not finally help himself. Last week, this pastor according to a very embittered congregant who drew my attention to a video circulating now on the web – caused outrage in civilized circles, but particularly among the Igbo, when he declared in one of his sermons that the Igbo will not govern Nigeria because the late Tafawa Balewa cursed them. Really? Well, it seems that Mr. Tunde Bakare knows much more than most, about Tafawa Balewa who died in the January 15, 1966 coup. Nigeria’s first military putsch. According to Bakare, when so-called Igbo soldiers arrested Balewa on January 15 1966, they violated him. They removed his turban, Bakare said, poured wine on his head, and forced some of that wine into his throat. Before he died, said Bakare, Tafawa Balewa cursed the Igbo, saying they would never govern Nigeria. This image is very calculated and vexatious. But Bakare knows exactly what he was doing. It is to rouse and stoke hatred against the Igbo by a section of Nigeria. Bakare’s account of the death of Nigeria’s first prime minister is a lie from the pit of hell. First, how did Bakare come about this fiction? It must be part of the larger street mythologies sold to Nigerians as part of the hate campaign against the Igbo to justify the mass murder of the Igbo in the pogrom and the civil war that followed. Bakare who grew up in Abeokuta must have, absorbed this street lore until he could swear by it. He was not there. The only accounts that have come out about the death of the Prime Minister indicate that Alhaji Tafawa Balewa was accorded the highest regard even before he was arrested. Even today, some Igbo have joined in telling the lie that Dr. Azikiwe was “merely a ceremonial president” and that the Igbo have therefore not governed Nigeria, except for General Ironsi’s six months. That too is a lie. It is true that Dr. Azikiwe had largely ceremonial functions as Governor-General from 1960 to 1963. Before they handed that job to him, and this was part of the agreement, the British had striped the office of the Governor-General of its enormous powers and basically handed a ceremonial office to Zik. But the 1963 republican constitution basically restored the powers of the President and Head of state of the republic, and literally turned the Prime Minister into the President’s Chief Adviser. In other words, from November 16, 1963, on his birthday, President Azikiwe governed Nigeria with full executive authority. The Republican constitution of Nigeria endowed on the president, and not to the council of Ministers, all executive power. This constitution remains public document, and unambiguous, although even constitutional historians continue to fib about it, to align with ignorant and self-serving views. But let us return to the so-called “Balewa curse”: in uttering that blasphemy, Igbo Christians have identified Bakare as “anti-Christ.” A wolf in sheep’s clothing. He uses the podium of a Christian ministry to preach hate, and to raise cudgels against the anointed of God. The Igbo call themselves “Umu-Chukwu” – children of the High God. That is why they do not make kings. According to the Igbo, the only king of the Igbo is God. That is the central basis of their covenantal life. To these Igbo, what Bakare did in declaring that the Igbo were cursed by Balewa and that they would therefore never rule in Nigeria is as it is written, that a false prophet shall arise, like a sheep in wolf’s clothing, and driven mad by power, shall “battle against God’s chillun.” The problem is that Tunde Bakare got it wrong. He should just simply take a look around: the Igbo are a blessed people. Wherever they are, they prosper. They turn deserts into fruitful fields. When the Igbo leave a place, it becomes molten. If the Igbo leave Abuja today, it stops being Abuja. If Igbo leave Lagos, it stops being Lagos. If the Igbo leave Kano, it will lose its kano-ness. The evidence is often made bare during Christmas, when the Igbo leave these cities to the East. Those places become hollow. Whatever the Igbo touch, even today, blooms. Such a people could not have been cursed: with the highest level of education; highest per capita income of any group in Nigeria; with a mobile global network that is increasingly consequential. The only place where darkness has fallen is postwar Nigeria. Without the Igbo unleashing their great talent on this nation, Nigeria will increasingly atrophy. It is Nigeria that is actually under the curse of the Igbo. Here is the evidence: since 1966 when the rest of Nigeria fell on the Igbo and shed Igbo blood, this country has remained confused. It has not known peace. First it was coups and counter coups. Those who killed the Igbo turned the swords against each other. They fell like carrion on the carcass of Nigeria. They looted it. Nigeria has earned mind-boggling money from oil, but it remains poorer than Gambia. Its public service is in decay. Its infrastructure is like what you find only in places that are under constant bombardment. It is a corrupt and unkind nation. Its population is adrift and in fear. Even Bakare cannot travel from Abeokuta to Lagos without an armed escort. Nigeria is like a clock turned backwards since the energy that compelled its modernity and fought for its liberation – the Igbo – left it spiritually. Whatever Nigeria touches without the Igbo have turned to dust. So, Bakare must look again about who has cursed whom. It is Nigeria that is under the curse of the Igbo whose innocent blood Nigerians shed to appease a false god. If Nigeria were some El-dorado since 1967, Bakare might have been right about Balewa’s curse. But the Igbo are a blessing to Nigeria. Nigerians know it and that is why they are prepared to go to war to make certain that the Igbo did not leave this poor, haggard nation. The only curse on Nigeria is that the Igbo have not governed Nigeria since 1970, and have withdrawn spiritually from it. As a result this nation has turned into dust. It is Nigeria that needs the Igbo to govern it. The Igbo do not need Nigeria. Tunde Bakare cam across in his sermon as a false, anti-Christian teacher haunted by the shadow of an “Igbo giant.” He has confessed that once in his dream, he saw the hulk of a massive Igbo giant pursuing him. Psychoanalysts might say, he is driven by “Igbo anguish” -a deep envy and fear of the Igbo which diminishes him and makes him feel very little. It is not the fault of the Igbo. It may have to do with Bakare’s troubled past. But the Igbo as people clearly haunts his dream. Particularly his dream about transcendence. That prospect seems to him compromised by the Igbo staking their claims for the presidency of Nigeria in 2023. His resort is to invent a false, very unchristian lie, about Balewa’s curse on the Igbo. Truth is, Balewa did not curse the Igbo, because the Igbo did not kill Balewa. On the other hand the Igbo cursed Nigeria because of the blood of the Igbo shed by this nation. Until Nigeria makes right with the Igbo, the nation will continue going to the well until it smashes all its calabashes. wpadmin:The story of Nigeria’s 1962 census never gets old. Southern politicians seeking to end the north’s dominance of Nigerian politics decided that the only way to do it was through the census. Population figures at the time determined not only parliamentary representation but also revenue allocation and employee distribution in the civil service. In May 1962, the first census under an independent Nigerian government began. There had been a frenzy of mobilization by politicians in the south of the country using pamphlets, radio, schools, churches and mosques. Although the final results were not made public, the preliminary results were quite clear as to what had happened: the north’s population had gone up from 16.5 million in the last census in 1952 to 22.5 million, an increase of 30%. But in some parts of the east, the population had increased by up to 200% and more than 70% in general. The west also reported an increase of 70%. What the preliminary results showed was that the north had lost its majority share of the country’s population. The northern leaders were not about to take that lying down. A new census was held in 1963 and this time, an additional 8.5 million people were discovered in the north bringing the total to 31 million for the north—a figure higher than the population of every other country in Africa at the time—and 56 million for Nigeria as a whole. The power balance had been restored and Nigeria’s census had been duly weaponized at a cost of $6.2 million (about $50 million today). Another census was conducted a decade later in 1973 but was so hotly disputed and produced incredible figures that the government simply nullified the result. In 1991, the military government of General Ibrahim Babangida had another try at a population count. This time, after some delay, the figures were officially announced in March 1992—there were just under 89 million people in the country. Fifteen years later, in 2006, another census was conducted and the population was announced to have grown by more than 50% to 140 million. It is these two censuses, when compared, that tell a most interesting story about Nigeria. First, there was a slight wrinkle in the data that made it tricky to directly compare the 1991 and 2006 numbers. In 1991, Nigeria had 30 states but in 1996, Nigeria’s maximum ruler, General Sani Abacha, created an additional 6 states bringing the total to 36. Since the new states had been carved out of existing states, making the numbers directly comparable meant adding the 2006 numbers for the 5 new states back into the states they had been carved out of. So Nasarawa’s numbers went back into Plateau,Gombe went back into Bauchi, Bayelsa went back into Rivers, Ekiti went into Ondo, Ebonyi went back into Enugu (this was a bit tricky as a small part of Ebonyi was created from Abia state but it’s not statistically relevant to affect the comparison here) and finally Zamfara went back into Sokoto. Now I had 30 states in 1991 to compare with 30 states in 2006. Implausibly, each state had managed to maintain its exact share of the population across two censuses, 15 years apart. A nearly successful military coup in April 1990 badly rattled the military high command and hastened the relocation of the federal capital from Lagos to Abuja, a process that was completed in December 1991, right after the census had been completed. Given the large bureaucracy and patronage networks that followed the government in the move to Abuja, it would have been impossible not to reflect this in the numbers somehow. Thus, Abuja rose from 0% of the total in 1991 to 1% in 2006. The difference was made up by pushing down Abia to 2% of the total in 2006 from 3% in 1991. Every other state remained unchanged. In 2000, the Nigerian government began a new revenue sharing formula that returned 13% of all onshore oil revenues to the oil producing states. In practical terms, whatever link remained between population and revenue allocation was effectively broken by this new 13% derivation principle. In other words, there was no financial reason to manipulate the distribution of the census figures in 2006 in line with the 1991 numbers. This is best illustrated with the monthly Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) where the federal government and states gather to share oil revenues. The most recent report available on the statistics bureau website is for January 2018. According to the census figures, the most populous state in 2006 was Kano with 9.4 million people. In January it received a total of 6.6 billion naira ($18.4 million) after all deductions. Akwa Ibom state, a major oil producing state but with less than half the population of Kano at 3.9 million, received a total of 16.5 billion naira ($46 million). Of this amount, 12 billion naira was its share of the 13% derivation principle. While just eight of Nigeria’s 36 states receive this derivation payment, it nonetheless accounts for roughly a quarter of the total revenues shared by states monthly. In the same month, tiny Taraba state with less than a quarter of Kano’s 2006 population received 3.8 billion naira as its share of revenues. If a link remains between population numbers and revenue sharing in Nigeria’s resource based economic model, it is at best tenuous. What part of Nigeria’s official census figures can be believed? I’ve generally assumed the total figure of 140 million was perhaps correct and the falsification only happened in the way it was distributed across the states by formula. But there’s reason to doubt even that. In 2010, Donald Duke, the former two-term governor of Cross River state, committed a remarkable act of political class suicide by penning an article detailing how he and his fellow governors rigged elections in Nigeria. Buried in the middle of the piece was this line: When we conducted the census in 2006 or so, the raw figures said we were over two hundred million; when they went and processed the figures it came down to 140 million. He was a governor at the time so his claim is at least plausible. The question is who or what did the “processing” and what did such an exercise entail? It’s hard to tell. Nigeria been due another census since 2016 but lack of funds—the Nigerian government can only fund 51% of the costs and is relying on donors to fund the remaining 49%—mean it is now scheduled to hold this year at a cost of 272 billion naira ($759 million) “if necessary logistics are provided”, according to the director general of the National Population Commission (NPC). In 2013, the former chairman of the NPC, Festus Odimegwu, managed to talk himself out of a job with a series of controversial comments. 24 out of the NPC’s 35 commissioners asked the president to fire him from his job as they had lost all confidence in him. Before then he had been queried by the presidency for giving newspaper interviews where he said there had never been a credible census in Nigeria, including the one in 2006, and that the 2016 one which he had been charged with conducting was doomed to fail. All of this was intolerable candor and president Jonathan eventually tired of his antics and fired him in October 2013. The country’s finances remain in poor shape and the leadership is currently consumed by politicking in advance of the general elections. But it will have to hold a census at some point and the question of whether people can lay down their weapons and allow a credible count to take place remains a pertinent one. There is no longer any financial reason for any state to lie about its numbers so the country has a unique opportunity to hold its first credible census in its history as an independent nation. The reasons for having credible population numbers are too obvious to restate: Nigeria has essentially been making policy blind since its independence. No more fake population or its use in revenue derivation principal. Federalism of the purest form is coming, because the South have wake up and you'd be the worst hit. Advocate basic/vocational education for Almajiris. The system was employed by your leaders/elders to subjugate citizens for election rigging & FAAC. In a pure Federal or Regional Nigeria, a president is most likely to be ceremonial. You can't contain Almajiris in your prime. The advantage you have over that Almajiri is education, so use it well. The advantage you seem to have over Southerners is the political position your elders/leaders are holding. It'd soon be over. Make demands of your leaders/elders today. Nigeria is going RESTRUCTURING!

Proudlyomonna:Umahi ;Uzodinma and co are like slave merchants ; they sale there people to the best bidders. This is former governor of Anambra State, Chukwuemeka Ezeife said the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the Eastern Security Network, ESN, were not behind the violent attacks in the south-east. IPOB not behind attacks in S-East, Igbo don’t shed blood —Ezeife “Speaking when he featured on Arise TV and published by TheCable, Ezeife said investigation carried out by elders in the south-east revealed that such attacks are designed to provoke Igbo people. While noting that killing and destruction do not conform to the Igbo character, he said some of the attacks may have been carried out by people outside the region. “Anybody who hears the story will be mad at the story. But who are the people who are burning INEC offices? Who are killing the police? There is the impression that some people who are not even Igbo are guilty of organising such things and blaming it on IPOB and ESN. Efforts have been made by elders of our people to find out the truth and the hands of IPOB and ESN are not there,” he said.“I am sure you know that at Owerri prison, there was a lot of devastation and the IG of Police blamed it immediately on IPOB and ESN. Even the governor of that state at the beginning thought it was the IPOB and ESN, but now we know that more than 80 percent of people caught by the CCTV footage are not from the south-east or even the east.“Now, Gulak is dead. Was it a design again to blame it on IPOB and the ESN? We are learning more now that there is a design to provoke the east. Igbo do not have the tradition of shedding blood or burning down things.” INC said that the need for a peace meeting has come because the presence of military personnel in Igboland was causing the killing of unarmed civilians in the land.According to INC, “The Igbo National Council (INC) worldwide is deeply worried over the increasing violent attacks and militarization of the Igbo Nation territory by dreaded armed Fulani mercenaries and military gang who were deployed to Igbo Nation to kill our people and decimate our population. We have observed the desperate reckless engagement of the murderous armed military gang against the armless Igbo population in our own territory. “The ongoing Operation Show of Force in Igbo Nation States by the purported Nigeria joint military gang is part of the project of the ruling cabal to ruthlessly attack and invade the Igbo Nation before 2023, which they had failed to achieve through the RUGA programme and the merciless attacks by the Miyetti Allah sponsored herdsmen killings inter-alia. “ residents of Imo, Benue, Rivers, Abia, Enugu, Anambra and Akwa Ibom States respectively have been subjected into heavy attacks by the so called Unknown Gun Men (UGM) and the Nigeria counter joint military squad. These attacks have resulted to the arbitrary arrest, torture and killings of civilians in the name of hunting for unknown gunmen (UGM). “It was their view that, “We therefore urge the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma and his Ebonyi State counterpart,Engr David Umahi to quickly convoke a multi-stakeholders peace summit to address the numerous challenges that have given rise to increasing violent conflicts and militarization of the region and also to sign a security protocol for the Igbo Nation.”

Siwel25:Let me ask you this? Will you form a political party ; then loose to a prisoner ( Ex convict) ;who never campaigned for office? |
No body is paid salary for sit at home. it's a protest since you can't do a public protest in Nigeria. this is a simple thing we expected some matured mind to understand but, no they choose to be totally blind. freedom needs a lot of sacrifice. Release MNK for us. Nigeria is a scam Unity for exploitation. Unity in captivity/ slavery. Yes under the present condition ;where mr Buhari insulted Igbos for seven years, fulanis massacres indigenous landlords; in their quest for land grabbing & non arrested ;and prosecuted. Yes because tribe, religion and cattle are preferred to national unity, YES we're tired of this union; make researches and ask questions, if not for ipob and ESN fulanis would have taken over our lands. The sit at home is very effective..... its sending a strong message ; we regret all the inconveniences ; this has caused our fellow Biafrans .

ALLNIGERIANSMAD:Nice try ![]() Game up savage's Ndigbo; na easy target abi;(Indigenous selfish Nigerians) partners in crime; poverty capital of world. Third most terrorized country on earth. Using 98% of your revenue to service borrowed debt. Animals dont even allow the dumbest ;to lead . Igbo people of Nigeria were ranked as the most intelligent tribe of black Africa in a US academic report . Dr. Onu initiated the first moves to create the first political parties merger as the only and most viable way to defeat PDP in the 2015 general election. Many did not see the possibilities that he saw long before he made his first moves. They doubted him. But they were soon to think along with him when they started seeing what he saw long before them. As the possibilities opened up due to his realistic, systematic and pragmatic approaches, Believing strongly in his dreams, Onu opened discussions with Buhari of the CPC. They exchanged ideas and ideals. They worked on the opportunities that a merger presented and soon agreed that Onu’s ANPP and CPC could work together. But there was another issues, how to bring South-West into the merger. At the time, the South-West was firmly in the grips of AC, owned by Bola Tinubu. Onu led the charge. Talks opened. Onu remained positive on the outcomes. He saw opportunities where some conservative allies saw roadblocks. He did not relent. Soon, AC collapsed into the merger and APC was born. The rest of the story is captured in Dr. Onu’s book. Onu was strategic to the formation of APC. He provided a template that turned the party into a mass movement, which enveloped Nigeria and offered hope. The rest, as they say, is history. Tinubu spent 35 billion to make Buhari President. All progressive Congress, APC Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken a huge swipe at President Mohammadu Buhari, describing him as an ingrate on whom he spent over N35 billion to make president. Fact.

Since Democracy returned to Nigeria in 1999, that's 23 years ago, The South East has not produced the President or the VP, without mincing words, 2023 is the turn of the South East. All parties ought to zone to the South East. This is good for fairness and stability. South West They say one good turn deserves another.
